We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious sister in Christ who is struggling with deep despair and spiritual warfare. Father God, we know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke the demonic forces that seek to torment her mind and spirit, commanding them in the name of Jesus Christ to flee and never return.
Lord, we thank You for drawing her to Yourself and for the miracle of her baptism, a public declaration of her faith in Jesus. We pray that You would strengthen her with power through Your Spirit in her inner being, so that Christ may dwell in her heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). Surround her with godly believers who can encourage her, pray over her, and remind her of Your promises. Father, we ask that You would fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also lift up her young daughter, Lord. Protect this child from the enemy’s schemes and let her grow up knowing Your love and truth. Give her mother the wisdom, strength, and grace to raise her in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). Provide for their needs, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, and let them both experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways.
Father, we know that suicide is not Your will for her life. You have plans for her, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We plead the blood of Jesus over her mind, body, and soul, breaking every chain of darkness. We ask that You would restore her joy, renew her strength, and help her to fix her eyes on You, the author and perfecter of her faith (Hebrews 12:2).
If there are areas in her life where sin or unforgiveness may be giving the enemy a foothold, we pray that You would reveal them to her in love and lead her to repentance. Remind her that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), and that Your grace is sufficient for her (2 Corinthians 12:9).
We stand in the gap for her, Lord, and declare that she is not alone. You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You would send angels to minister to her and surround her with Your presence. May she feel Your love so deeply that the lies of the enemy are silenced by Your truth.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We also want to gently address the importance of seeking professional Christian counseling, especially in cases where suicidal thoughts persist. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and sometimes that includes guiding someone to those who are trained to help with mental and spiritual health. Encourage her to reach out to a pastor, biblical counselor, or trusted Christian therapist who can walk alongside her in this battle.
Lastly, if she has not already, we would encourage her to immerse herself in Scripture, particularly passages that speak of God’s love, faithfulness, and deliverance. Meditating on Psalm 23, Psalm 91, and Romans 8 can be a powerful weapon against the enemy’s attacks. Remind her that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in her (Romans 8:11), and He is greater than anything she is facing.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
