We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the spiritual battle that rages around us. The Bible makes it clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over these forces through His death and resurrection.
First, we must address the foundation of our faith. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so now. There is no protection or victory apart from Him, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12). If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, we pray that you would do so today (Romans 10:9). Without this, we cannot stand against the schemes of the devil, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).
Now, we take authority in the name of Jesus Christ over every evil spirit that seeks to harm you, your children, and your grandchildren. The Word of God declares, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, torment, and deception in the mighty name of Jesus. We command them to leave your home, your presence, and the lives of your loved ones immediately, for "the Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8).
We pray a hedge of protection around you and your family, invoking the blood of Jesus over every doorpost, every window, and every threshold of your home. The Lord is your refuge and fortress, and in Him, you will find safety (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over your minds, your bodies, and your spirits, that you may be covered and shielded from every attack of the enemy.
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We pray that you would be rooted and grounded in the truth of Scripture, for it is the Word of God that will renew your mind and guard your heart (Romans 12:2, Philippians 4:7).
We also lift up your children and grandchildren, praying that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior if they have not already. We ask that you would surround them with godly influences and protect them from the snares of the enemy. We declare that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that God has a plan and a purpose for each of their lives (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that they would walk in the light of Christ and be kept from the darkness of this world.
Father God, we ask that You would fill this home with Your presence and Your peace. Let Your angels encamp around this family, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). We pray that every evil spirit would be cast out and that Your Holy Spirit would fill every room, every heart, and every mind. We ask that You would reveal any areas of sin or unrepentance in their lives, for the enemy seeks to exploit these openings. We pray for repentance, forgiveness, and restoration in every area where the enemy has gained a foothold.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment, that this family would recognize the tactics of the enemy and stand firm in their faith. Give them the courage to resist the devil and the strength to walk in the victory that Christ has already won. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37), and that no evil spirit can touch them without Your permission (Job 1:12).
In the name of Jesus Christ, we break every curse, every generational bondage, and every assignment of the enemy over this family. We declare that they are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We pray that they would walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has purchased for them, and that they would live lives that bring glory and honor to Your name.
Lord, we thank You for Your protection and Your love. We thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust in Your promises and declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus. We ask that You would continue to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and that they would experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
