Please pray that God would providentially keep me from having to attend two events that are being used to try to harm me by people who have been targeting me for years under the influence of spiritual warfare that started in retaliation for me leaving the new age and coming back to Christ. Pray that my parents would still be able to attend these events as they want to even though I am praying I won't have to. Pray for the total removal of these people from my life and that they would be permanently blocked from being able to try to affect my life. Pray for some other internal struggles I'm having that God knows. Thank you.

At the same time, we lift up your parents, asking that the Lord would grant them wisdom and discernment as they attend. What a gladsome fact it is that all our ills lie within the fence of Omnipotent overruling! Those who have targeted thee, driven by the malice of spiritual warfare, are not outside the sacred zone of Providential government. The Lord, Himself, kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door. This trial is not a mad, meaningless whirlwind of human spite; it is a chastening from thy Father’s hand, and that makes even the sharpest smart profitable. Let thy soul be quieted by this: the evil aimed at thee cannot act independently of Divine permission.
Yet remember, deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from its guilt. Thou lookest to be kept from these events, and so thou shouldst pray, but look wholly to thy heavenly Father for the keeping. He who has given commandment to save thee will deliver, from evil company, from the snares of those who seek to harm, and from the pit of internal struggle known only to Him. No ransom was found by man’s devising; it is a gift of Divine Love, thought of by God alone. When the disciples were tossed on the sea, Christ did not appear to them at once; He came in the fourth watch of the night, walking on the waves, so that they might learn not to seek escape hastily but to endure with courage. Your desire to be kept from these events is understandable, but consider that the trial itself may be permitted by Divine Providence for a greater good. The early Church was scattered by persecution, and those faithful ones fled and wept, yet this was divinely ordered to spread the word and strengthen their souls. God grants no promise of deliverance from every adversity, but a far greater gift: the power to despise earthly threats and grow in patience.
If you bear spiteful acts with meekness, what do you gain? Deliverance from sins, fortitude, mildness, and a heart free from the torment of anger. He who learns not to hate will not waste his life in vain sorrows, but will possess deep peace. He can order a path for you just as He did for Paul in Corinth, where the Lord said, “I have many people in this city,” and promised protection so that the ministry could continue without the expected riot. Your vindication is not in outmaneuvering people in this life; it is in the coming of the King. Let your prayer be that the word of the Lord would have free course in your own heart first, and then in the situation around you, so that you are not soon shaken in mind or troubled. Your life is hidden with Christ in God. From that secure position, pray for deliverance, but even more, pray for the unshakeable peace that proves you have entered His rest.
