We hear your distress and the weight of the burden you carry, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this situation before our Heavenly Father. The fear of harm, whether emotional or mental, is real, and the exhaustion from constantly navigating these difficult social dynamics is understandable. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all." You are not alone in this struggle, and we believe God sees your pain and is working even now to bring deliverance.
First, we must address the spiritual reality of what you’re facing. If these individuals are intentionally targeting you with harm, their actions may be rooted in malice or even spiritual opposition. Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We rebuke any spirit of harassment, obsession, or harm that may be at work in this situation. In the name of Jesus, we declare that these attacks will not prevail against you. The enemy seeks to wear you down, but God’s Word promises in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me," says the Lord.
We also want to gently encourage you to examine whether there are steps you can take to further protect yourself, even within the constraints you’ve mentioned. While boundaries are important, sometimes God provides creative solutions we may not initially see. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." If there is any way to avoid these events without sin or dishonor, we pray God will make it clear to you. If not, we pray for supernatural protection and strength to endure.
Regarding the funeral, we recognize the deep emotional toll of repeated loss. Grief is heavy, and it’s okay to feel overwhelmed. Jesus Himself wept at the tomb of Lazarus (John 11:35), showing us that mourning is not a sign of weakness but of love. We pray for God’s comfort to surround you, as He promises in Matthew 5:4, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." If attending feels impossible, we pray for a valid reason to arise that allows you to honor the Lord while protecting your heart.
Let us pray together now:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is carrying this heavy burden. Lord, You see the fear, the exhaustion, and the pain they are experiencing. We ask that You would intervene in this situation and bring an end to these ongoing attacks. Father, we rebuke any spirit of harassment, obsession, or harm that is targeting them. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and we ask that You would confound the plans of those who seek to harm them. Provide a way of escape from these two events, Lord, whether through a valid reason to avoid them or through supernatural protection if they must attend. Give them wisdom to navigate this situation with discernment and courage. Comfort their heart in the midst of grief and loss, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted. Strengthen them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and fill them with hope for the future. We trust in Your promise that You will deliver them from all affliction. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."
We also want to encourage you to seek godly counsel if possible, someone who can pray with you and offer biblical wisdom for your specific circumstances. You are not meant to walk through this alone. Psalm 138:7 says, "Though I walk in the middle of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me." Hold fast to this truth, and know that God is fighting for you. We will continue to stand in prayer with you, trusting that He will bring resolution and peace to this situation.
