We hear your heart and the weight of the situation you are carrying. The stress of your father’s return home from the hospital, the tension with your mother, and the uncertainty of your living situation are heavy burdens. We stand with you in prayer, lifting these concerns before the Lord, who sees all and cares deeply for you.
First, we want to address the foundation of our prayers and your faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through believing in Him, repenting of sin, and surrendering your life to His will. If you have already done this, we rejoice with you and pray for strength and peace in this trial.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm you. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." You are not alone in this, God is with you, and He will provide a way forward. We also rebuke the spirit of control and manipulation that may be at work in your mother’s words and actions. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." We pray that God would soften her heart and grant you wisdom in how to respond to her in love and patience.
We lift up your father’s recovery, asking the Lord to restore his strength and health according to His will. Psalm 103:2-3 says, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We pray for peace in your home during this time, that tensions would ease and that your mother’s heart would be calmed. We also pray for your protection, both emotionally and physically. If your mother has threatened to remove you from the home, we ask that God would provide clarity and a safe place for you if that becomes necessary. You are valuable to Him, and He will not abandon you.
Regarding your concerns about your wheelchair, we pray that God would provide the resources and opportunity to find a new one that meets your needs. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We also pray that your current wheelchair would hold steady and not fail you in this season. We ask that God would grant you favor in your mother’s eyes so that she would allow you the time and freedom to use the computer for necessary tasks and to attend church on Sunday. Your spiritual well-being is important, and we pray that she would see the value in your commitment to worship and fellowship.
We encourage you to lean on the Lord in this time. Psalm 55:22 says, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." You are not responsible for your mother’s emotions or actions, but you can choose to respond in a way that honors God. Seek His wisdom in every interaction, and trust that He is working even in the midst of difficulty.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is carrying so much. Lord, You see the weight on their heart, the concern for their father, the tension with their mother, and the uncertainty of their living situation. We ask that You would be their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Father, we pray for healing and restoration for their father. Touch him with Your healing hand and grant him strength as he recovers.
Lord, we ask that You would soften their mother’s heart. Where there is anger, bring peace. Where there is control, bring surrender to Your will. Give this one wisdom in how to respond to her with grace and patience. Protect them from fear and anxiety, and remind them that You are their provider and protector. If it is Your will, Lord, open a door for them to find stability and peace in their living situation.
We pray for their needs, both practical and spiritual. Provide a new wheelchair if that is what is needed, and keep the current one from failing. Grant them favor to use the computer for necessary tasks and to attend church without hindrance. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You even when circumstances are difficult.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, control, and manipulation in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will make a way where there seems to be no way. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind them that they are deeply loved by You.
