We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of unemployment and the injustice that has been done. Father, we know that You see all things and that vengeance belongs to You alone. We pray that You would bring truth to light and restore what has been broken in this situation. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:19, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" We trust You to bring justice in Your perfect timing.
Lord, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for this dear one, providing employment that aligns with Your will and purpose. Help them to trust in Your provision, remembering Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We pray for wisdom in crafting a resume that reflects their skills and experiences accurately, and for favor in the eyes of potential employers. Guide their steps as they seek work, and grant them peace in the process.
We also rebuke the spirit of discouragement and negativity that may be trying to take root in their heart. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this season of waiting is not in vain, and that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). We pray for strength to persevere, knowing that trials produce endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope (Romans 5:3-4).
Father, we ask that You would heal any wounds caused by the false narratives and betrayal. Let Your truth be a balm to their soul, and may they find comfort in Your Word. Psalm 34:18-19 reminds us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We pray for restoration of reputation and for new opportunities to arise where their integrity and hard work will be recognized.
Lastly, we pray for patience and faith as they wait on You. Help them to seek You first in all things, trusting that You will add all these things unto them (Matthew 6:33). May they find their identity and worth in Christ alone, not in their employment status or the opinions of others.
Heavenly Father, we lift up this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). Strengthen this dear one with Your might, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Amen.
