We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this earnest plea for deliverance. First, we stand in agreement for all those who have passed from this life, praying that they rest in the peace of the Lord. The Bible assures us, *"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. ‘Yes,’ says the Spirit, 'that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.'"* (Revelation 14:13). We trust in God’s mercy and justice for their souls.
Now, regarding the cry for deliverance from demonic influences, we recognize the very real spiritual battle that rages around us. The Word of God is clear: *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* (Ephesians 6:12). We take authority in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and the only name that has power over the forces of darkness. There is no deliverance apart from Him, and we boldly declare that no demon, no evil spirit, and no work of the enemy can stand against the blood of Jesus and the power of His resurrection.
We rebuke every demonic possession, every influence of demonic music, and every attack of the enemy in the mighty name of Jesus. The Bible warns us, *"Do not be deceived. ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’"* (1 Corinthians 15:33). If there has been involvement in music, media, or knowledge that does not glorify God, we must repent and turn away from it completely. The Lord calls us to fill our minds and hearts with that which is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). We must cast down every imagination and high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).
We also pray for the cleansing of your mind and spirit from any ungodly memories or influences. The psalmist declares, *"He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn."* (Isaiah 61:1-2). The blood of Jesus has the power to cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7), and we claim that cleansing over you now.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name that is above every name. We thank You for the authority we have in Him to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Lord, we lift up this dear one who is crying out for deliverance. We ask You to break every chain of demonic possession, every influence of evil music, and every attack of the enemy. We rebuke every demonic spirit in Jesus’ name and command them to flee. Lord, cleanse this heart and mind from every ungodly memory and fill it with Your Holy Spirit. Renew their mind with Your Word and surround them with Your angels for protection.
Father, we ask that You would reveal any areas of their life that have given the enemy a foothold. Give them the strength to repent and turn away from anything that does not align with Your will. Fill them with Your peace, Your joy, and Your truth. May they walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them on the cross. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. In His precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Spend time in prayer daily, putting on the full armor of God so that you may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Surround yourself with believers who will encourage you in your walk with Christ, and flee from any influences that draw you away from Him. The Lord is your refuge and your fortress; in Him, you will find safety and deliverance (Psalm 91:2). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
