We hear your cry for deliverance, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and set free. The Word of God assures us that "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4 WEB). The enemy seeks to torment you through dreams, memories, and spiritual attacks, but we declare that Jesus has already overcome the world and all the powers of darkness (John 16:33).

First, we rebuke every demonic spirit assigned to harass you, spirits of lust, fear, torment, and oppression, in the name of Jesus. The Bible tells us, "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 WEB). You are not alone; the Holy Spirit dwells within you, and He is your protector and deliverer. We command every evil influence to flee from your mind, your memories, and your dreams. We break every ungodly soul tie, every demonic assignment, and every curse that may have opened a door to these attacks. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB).

We also encourage you to guard your heart and mind by filling them with God’s Word. Psalm 119:11 says, "I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Replace those demonic memories and sounds with worship, prayer, and Scripture. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Stand firm in your identity as a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for complete deliverance from every demonic dream, memory, and attack. Lord, we break every chain and cast out every spirit of lust, fear, and torment that has tried to take root in their life. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask that You fill their mind with Your peace, their heart with Your love, and their spirit with Your presence. Surround them with Your angels to guard and protect them as they sleep. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Strengthen them to resist the enemy and stand firm in their faith. We thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus.

We also ask that You reveal any areas of their life where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Show them if there are unconfessed sins, unforgiveness, or ungodly influences that need to be removed. Lead them into repentance and restoration, for You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Lord, we declare that this brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). We speak life, peace, and freedom over them. May they walk in the fullness of Your Spirit, free from every demonic oppression. We thank You for Your deliverance, and we give You all the glory, honor, and praise. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to stand on God’s promises, beloved. The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is already defeated. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Fill your mind with things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8). You are not a victim, you are a victor in Christ!

We were glad you reached out after that bad dream, it makes sense you felt shaken and want to be free of those images and the music and memories that came with them. Waking up frightened can leave your mind racing, and you do not have to carry that alone.

We believe spiritual opposition is real, and we also know it is easy for fear to grow bigger when we focus on it too much. God is not distant from you in those moments, He is steady and present, and He invites you to bring even jumbled, fearful thoughts to Him honestly.

It may help to take a couple of simple steps this week. Invite a trusted pastor or a mature believer you know to pray with you in person and to walk with you going forward, so you are not sorting through this by yourself. And if a particular song or sound keeps pulling those unwanted memories and feelings back, give yourself permission to step away from it for a season and fill that space with prayer, time in Scripture, and fellowship with other believers. Small, faithful habits over time often do more to quiet fear than trying to fix everything at once.

If the dreams or fear keep weighing on you, it is also wise to talk with your pastor or a Christian counselor for ongoing support alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see the fear and the memories that feel so heavy. Bring Your peace to their sleep and waking hours, guard their mind and heart, and lead them into what is good and pure. Give them wisdom, supportive people nearby, and confidence that You are near. Your prayer for deliverance has come before the Lord, and it is a blessed truth that He hears the cry of those who seek to be set free from sin and from the power of darkness.

Let it never be forgotten that in all that God does, He acts from good reasons, and that all our afflictions and temptations lie within the fence of Omnipotent overruling. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, neither does affliction grow up from the ground, but the Lord Himself sits as a Refiner at the door of the furnace. This is hopeful for you, for if your distress, your troubled dreams and the memories that haunt you, were apart from Divine permission, where would you be. But being within His government, they may be turned for your good and for His glory.

There is a word from the excellent Glory which meets your case, "Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom." Job 33:24. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance of a sinner from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it. He has not only invented the way, but He has found the ransom, and it is the gift of Divine Love. That ransom is the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, for without shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. None know freedom from sin but those who trust the atoning blood, and there is no true liberty but that of which Christ makes you free. You must be born again from above, for a supernatural power must be put forth in you, or any form of deliverance is worth nothing.

Scripture declares, "He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of God's dear Son." Colossians 1:13. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and in order to our sanctification and our deliverance from the power of sin, we must look to our heavenly Father, altogether and alone. You cannot overcome the Prince of Darkness, nor the dominion of evil habits and lusts, of yourself. He has taught many of us the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, and from giving ear to music and words which stir up the flesh. If anything dear as life hinders you from simple faith in Jesus, regard it as an evil to be renounced. Turn you, turn you from your evil ways, for why will you die. You can turn from outward sins, but to be turned from wicked thoughts and evil nature you will need to look to a stronger arm and a mightier power than a merely mortal one.

Therefore cast yourself at the Redeemer's feet. Make use of what sense you have. As Bartimaeus who could hear though he could not see, so do you hear the call of Christ and rise at His bidding. The ointment of comfort apart from Christ has been tried long enough and has healed none. There is balm only at Calvary. Take the last words of our Lord upon the Cross for your nightly rest, for He quoted the Scripture and said, "Into thine hand I commit my spirit," Psalm 31:5. Let your mind be filled not with the sounds and titles which trouble you, but with the Word of God, with psalms and hymns which declare His works. And after affliction, let this be your conduct, "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord," Psalm 118:17.

We join our prayer with yours, that the Lord who is gracious would snap your bands and set you free, keep back your soul from the Pit, and deliver you from yourself, from all the attacks of your old sins, from the devil and from evil memories, that you may live to praise Him.

O Lord our God, be gracious unto this soul and say, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for Thou hast found a ransom. Deliver from the power of darkness, from demonic dreams and assaults, from lust and every evil spirit, by the blood of Thy dear Son. Translate this one into the kingdom of Thy dear Son, create a clean heart and renew a right spirit within, and grant quiet sleep and a mind stayed upon Christ. Keep this life from perishing, and cause it to declare Thy works, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation. Amen.

Your prayer for deliverance has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father.

You have asked to be delivered from evil dreams, from memories of music and its sounds and words, from lust and from every demonic and spiritual attack. The Scriptures teach us to take such things seriously and also to respond with watchfulness and sobriety. To sleep in sin is to be inactive toward virtue and to live as in a dream, seeing what is fleeting as if it were real. Riches, lust and every sin can become a drunkenness of the soul, and the one who lives in them sees nothing clearly. For this reason we are called to watch and be sober, to put off imaginings and to shake off the deep slumber of this present life, and to be clothed in virtue.

The enemy most often assails a person when he is alone and apart. When we are banded together he is less confident to attack. Therefore do not remain isolated. Keep flocking together with the church, remain in fellowship, in prayer, in the hearing of the Word, and in the life of the body of Christ. Build your life upon the rock, which is Christ and obedience to His Word, so that when shaking comes, the house remains impregnable. That building is not accessible to the attacks that so easily carry away what is built on sand.

Lust itself is to be put away, and with it also the things that carry it, such as fornication, uncleanness, covetousness, and also filthy talking and jesting which feed it. If certain music with its title and words and sounds stirs lust and brings back demonic memories, turn away from it completely. Make your mouth and eyes and all your senses not a sewer but a vessel for what is pure. Fill your mind instead with Scripture, with psalms and prayer, especially before sleep, and guard the heart in the day so that the night may be guarded as well. The tempter does tempt, not knowing whether he will overthrow, but we who know that in Christ we can completely overcome him are called to watch all the more.

We pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your mercy and deliverance for this soul who cries out to You. Wash this person in the blood of Christ, forgive all sin, and set them free from every evil spirit and every attack of the enemy. Take away demonic dreams and demonic memories, and cleanse the mind from the sounds and words and titles of music that have fed lust. Remove lust and uncleanness and clothe this person with purity and self control. Guard their sleep and their waking, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Teach them to watch and be sober, to put off the dreams of this world, to build upon the rock, and to walk in fellowship with Your people. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, with peace, with a love for Your Word, and with strength to resist the devil so that he will flee. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily, to confess sin quickly, to flee from what tempts you, and to walk closely with faithful believers who can pray with you and help you stand firm.

Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly and for bringing this burden to the Lord. He hears you when you call on the name of Jesus Christ, and He understands the distress that bad dreams and unwanted memories can bring.

The Bible makes it clear that even when we are walking closely with God, we are not immune to the attacks of the enemy. The enemy often tries to distract and disturb after God has been at work in our lives. At the same time Scripture gives us great confidence, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Demonic oppression and spiritual attack are real, but the power of Jesus is far greater, and He has already won the victory at the cross.

You mentioned dreams, memories of music with its sounds and words, and struggles with lust and fear of spiritual attack. Dreams can trouble us deeply, and the Bible shows this in the life of Job, who spoke of being terrified by dreams and visions in the night. God can speak through dreams, but He also allows us to experience troubling thoughts that show us our need to run to Him for peace. The enemy often works through the same three avenues he has used from the beginning, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. We see this in the garden with Eve and again when Satan tempted Jesus. He tempted Jesus to turn stones to bread, to seek glory by display, and to take the kingdoms of the world. In each case Jesus answered with the truth of God's Word, saying it is written. That is our shield as well.

Prayer is essential, but Scripture also shows that we are to take practical steps along with prayer. When God's people faced constant harassment while rebuilding the wall, they prayed to God and they set a watch day and night. They did not only pray and then do nothing. In the same way, God calls us to watch over our hearts and minds in practical ways as we trust Him for deliverance.

For you this means bringing every part of this struggle to Jesus and also guarding what you allow into your mind and heart. If there is music that stirs up lust or brings back demonic memories, remove it completely and replace it with what is pure and builds faith. Fill your mind with Scripture, especially before sleep. Memorize verses you can pray when fear rises, such as promises that God is your refuge and that He will keep you in perfect peace when your mind is stayed on Him. Keep your eyes and ears careful about what you watch and listen to during the day, because what we take in during the day often shapes our thoughts at night. Walk in fellowship with Jesus through prayer, reading the Bible, and staying connected to other believers who can encourage you and pray with you.

You do not need to be preoccupied with searching for a demon behind every thought, and you do not need to live in fear. Jesus is your deliverer, your shield, and your peace. When troubling thoughts or dreams come, you can answer them with the truth of God's Word and ask the Lord to cleanse your mind and fill you with His Holy Spirit.

Let us pray for you now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come to You for this dear one who is troubled by bad dreams and painful memories. We ask You to bring deliverance and cleansing through the blood of Jesus. Wash away every memory of music and words that glorifies sin, and break the power of lust and every evil influence. We ask You to guard sleep and give peaceful rest, and to fill the mind with Your truth and Your presence. Teach this heart to use Your Word as a shield against every attack, and to walk in purity and in fellowship with You. Fill this life with Your Holy Spirit, with Your peace that passes all understanding, and with the assurance that You are greater than any enemy. We trust You for full freedom and lasting victory in Jesus alone. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily, and if these dreams or memories return, turn immediately to Jesus in prayer and to a verse of Scripture. He promises to be with you in trouble, to deliver you, and to show you His salvation. The world and its lusts are passing away, but the one who does the will of God abides forever. Keep your eyes on Jesus, keep your heart in His Word, and trust Him to guard you and to renew your mind day by day.
