We hear your cry for deliverance, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and set free. The Word of God assures us that "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4 WEB). The enemy seeks to torment you through dreams, memories, and spiritual attacks, but we declare that Jesus has already overcome the world and all the powers of darkness (John 16:33).

First, we rebuke every demonic spirit assigned to harass you, spirits of lust, fear, torment, and oppression, in the name of Jesus. The Bible tells us, "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 WEB). You are not alone; the Holy Spirit dwells within you, and He is your protector and deliverer. We command every evil influence to flee from your mind, your memories, and your dreams. We break every ungodly soul tie, every demonic assignment, and every curse that may have opened a door to these attacks. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB).

We also encourage you to guard your heart and mind by filling them with God’s Word. Psalm 119:11 says, "I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Replace those demonic memories and sounds with worship, prayer, and Scripture. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Stand firm in your identity as a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for complete deliverance from every demonic dream, memory, and attack. Lord, we break every chain and cast out every spirit of lust, fear, and torment that has tried to take root in their life. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask that You fill their mind with Your peace, their heart with Your love, and their spirit with Your presence. Surround them with Your angels to guard and protect them as they sleep. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Strengthen them to resist the enemy and stand firm in their faith. We thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus.

We also ask that You reveal any areas of their life where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Show them if there are unconfessed sins, unforgiveness, or ungodly influences that need to be removed. Lead them into repentance and restoration, for You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Lord, we declare that this brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). We speak life, peace, and freedom over them. May they walk in the fullness of Your Spirit, free from every demonic oppression. We thank You for Your deliverance, and we give You all the glory, honor, and praise. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to stand on God’s promises, beloved. The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is already defeated. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Fill your mind with things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8). You are not a victim, you are a victor in Christ!

We were glad you reached out after that bad dream, it makes sense you felt shaken and want to be free of those images and the music and memories that came with them. Waking up frightened can leave your mind racing, and you do not have to carry that alone.

We believe spiritual opposition is real, and we also know it is easy for fear to grow bigger when we focus on it too much. God is not distant from you in those moments, He is steady and present, and He invites you to bring even jumbled, fearful thoughts to Him honestly.

It may help to take a couple of simple steps this week. Invite a trusted pastor or a mature believer you know to pray with you in person and to walk with you going forward, so you are not sorting through this by yourself. And if a particular song or sound keeps pulling those unwanted memories and feelings back, give yourself permission to step away from it for a season and fill that space with prayer, time in Scripture, and fellowship with other believers. Small, faithful habits over time often do more to quiet fear than trying to fix everything at once.

If the dreams or fear keep weighing on you, it is also wise to talk with your pastor or a Christian counselor for ongoing support alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see the fear and the memories that feel so heavy. Bring Your peace to their sleep and waking hours, guard their mind and heart, and lead them into what is good and pure. Give them wisdom, supportive people nearby, and confidence that You are near. Your prayer for deliverance has come before the Lord, and it is a blessed truth that He hears the cry of those who seek to be set free from sin and from the power of darkness.

Let it never be forgotten that in all that God does, He acts from good reasons, and that all our afflictions and temptations lie within the fence of Omnipotent overruling. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, neither does affliction grow up from the ground, but the Lord Himself sits as a Refiner at the door of the furnace. This is hopeful for you, for if your distress, your troubled dreams and the memories that haunt you, were apart from Divine permission, where would you be. But being within His government, they may be turned for your good and for His glory.

There is a word from the excellent Glory which meets your case, "Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom." Job 33:24. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance of a sinner from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it. He has not only invented the way, but He has found the ransom, and it is the gift of Divine Love. That ransom is the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, for without shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. None know freedom from sin but those who trust the atoning blood, and there is no true liberty but that of which Christ makes you free. You must be born again from above, for a supernatural power must be put forth in you, or any form of deliverance is worth nothing.

Scripture declares, "He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of God's dear Son." Colossians 1:13. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and in order to our sanctification and our deliverance from the power of sin, we must look to our heavenly Father, altogether and alone. You cannot overcome the Prince of Darkness, nor the dominion of evil habits and lusts, of yourself. He has taught many of us the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, and from giving ear to music and words which stir up the flesh. If anything dear as life hinders you from simple faith in Jesus, regard it as an evil to be renounced. Turn you, turn you from your evil ways, for why will you die. You can turn from outward sins, but to be turned from wicked thoughts and evil nature you will need to look to a stronger arm and a mightier power than a merely mortal one.

Therefore cast yourself at the Redeemer's feet. Make use of what sense you have. As Bartimaeus who could hear though he could not see, so do you hear the call of Christ and rise at His bidding. The ointment of comfort apart from Christ has been tried long enough and has healed none. There is balm only at Calvary. Take the last words of our Lord upon the Cross for your nightly rest, for He quoted the Scripture and said, "Into thine hand I commit my spirit," Psalm 31:5. Let your mind be filled not with the sounds and titles which trouble you, but with the Word of God, with psalms and hymns which declare His works. And after affliction, let this be your conduct, "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord," Psalm 118:17.

We join our prayer with yours, that the Lord who is gracious would snap your bands and set you free, keep back your soul from the Pit, and deliver you from yourself, from all the attacks of your old sins, from the devil and from evil memories, that you may live to praise Him.

O Lord our God, be gracious unto this soul and say, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for Thou hast found a ransom. Deliver from the power of darkness, from demonic dreams and assaults, from lust and every evil spirit, by the blood of Thy dear Son. Translate this one into the kingdom of Thy dear Son, create a clean heart and renew a right spirit within, and grant quiet sleep and a mind stayed upon Christ. Keep this life from perishing, and cause it to declare Thy works, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation. Amen.
