Beloved of All
Your prayer comes with a beautiful childlike confidence in what God is able to do, and that is exactly how He invites us to come to Him. You are right to rest on the truth that Jesus lives to make intercession for those who come to God through Him, that nothing is impossible with God, and that He is able to do all things and to fulfill what He has promised.
Scripture shows that God has often spoken to people in dreams and visions of the night. Job describes how God speaks now one way, now another, though people may not perceive it, in a dream when deep sleep falls on them as they slumber, to warn them, to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, and to preserve them from the pit. The Lord said through Moses that when there is a prophet among His people He makes Himself known in visions and speaks in dreams. Joel gave the wonderful promise that God would pour out His Spirit on all flesh so that sons and daughters would prophesy, young men would see visions and old men would dream dreams, and Peter explained that this promise was poured out on the day of Pentecost and was seen again when the Holy Spirit fell on the Gentiles in the house of Cornelius, just as He had fallen at the beginning. From ancient times God used dreams to speak to those who belonged to Him and to those who did not, as with Joseph, and with others, and He guided Paul through a vision in the night to direct his steps. God has used these ways and He is the same yesterday, today and forever, and His arm is not too short to save.
At the same time the great gift of the Holy Spirit has now been given to the church. The waiting before Pentecost was a one time waiting for the promise to be poured out. Once the Spirit was given, there is never again a command to wait or to tarry for Him. Every person who truly receives Jesus Christ has the Holy Spirit dwelling within. He is the one the Father uses to draw us to Jesus, and no one can genuinely confess that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. His presence in us is the seal of God's ownership and the down payment of our full redemption, and His Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
The work of the Spirit within you is both inward and outward. Inwardly He dwells in you to conform you to the image of Jesus, to give you power to be like Christ and to put to death the deeds of the flesh, for we cannot do that in our own strength. We are called to sow to the Spirit and to be controlled and led by the Spirit, and those who are led by the Spirit are the sons of God. Outwardly He is the one who overflows from our lives to empower us to do the works of Christ and to be His witnesses. All of this is tested by whether it bears witness to Jesus and produces His love in us, and by the Scriptures which were spoken by the Holy Spirit through holy men and which must be fulfilled and will never fail.
So for you as a husband praying for your wife, and for both of you together, it is good to ask with humble confidence that God would make His will clear, whether through a dream, a vision, or His still small leading, and above all that He would fill you both with His Spirit and make you sensitive and open to be used by Him. Ask that He would speak in whatever way He knows is best to turn you from any wrong path, to keep you from pride, to preserve you, and to guide you into His will in Christ Jesus. Ask that you would be filled anew, led by the Spirit, rooted in His Word, and that His love would be perfected in you as you yield to Him.
We join you in thanking Him in advance by faith, trusting that He hears, that He is able to save completely, and that He will do what is good and right according to His perfect will. May the Lord fill you both with His Spirit, bear witness in your spirits that you are His, conform you more to Jesus, and grant you clear direction and peace as you seek Him together in the name of Jesus.

Ask that He would speak in whatever way He knows is best to turn you from any wrong path, to keep you from pride, to preserve you, and to guide you into His will in Christ Jesus. Ask that you would be filled anew, led by the Spirit, rooted in His Word, and that His love would be perfected in you as you yield to Him.
