Beloved of All
A parent’s heart for a child is one of the clearest pictures we have of the Father’s own love. When Abraham took his son Isaac, his only son, the one he loved, up the mountain, he placed that boy entirely into God’s hands, trusting that the Lord would provide. And God did provide, watching over every step of the journey and every detail on the altar. That same faithful God is watching over your son right now. You’ve committed this appointment and these travels to Jesus, and you can rest in the care of the One who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all.
Think of how David cried out “O my son Absalom!”, a love that held on even when the son was far from him. Your love reflects that commitment, and far more, it rests in a Father who calls you His own adopted child. Because you are a son of God through Christ, the Spirit in your heart cries “Abba, Father,” and you can bring every concern to Him with confidence. He is not distant; He is a Father who corrects and protects those He receives.
I pray with you now for a favorable report and for safe travels. May the Lord who guided Isaac’s steps and who stilled every storm surround your son with His presence. Trust the Son of God, Jesus, who is the great Physician over every body and the Lord over every road.
