We hear your heart and stand with you in this difficult season, lifting you up in prayer before our Heavenly Father. The journey with mental health challenges like psychosis is not an easy one, and we recognize the courage it takes to seek help and press forward, even when treatments haven’t yet brought the relief you need. We are so grateful you had an appointment and that steps are being taken to adjust your medication—this is a sign of hope, and we pray that the new treatment will bring greater stability, clarity, and peace to your mind and spirit.
The flashbacks and bad dreams you’re experiencing must weigh heavily on you, and we want you to know that your struggle is seen by God. He does not dismiss your pain or leave you to carry it alone. Psalm 34:18-19 reminds us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* Even in the darkness, He is near, and we believe He will bring healing to your mind and comfort to your soul.
We also want to gently encourage you to invite Jesus into this battle in a deeper way. He is the Great Physician, and while doctors and medicine are tools He can use, true and lasting peace comes from Him alone. Philippians 4:6-7 says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We pray that as you draw near to Him, His peace will guard your heart and mind, even when the nightmares and memories feel overwhelming.
We also rebuke the lies of the enemy that may be trying to convince you that healing isn’t possible or that you are defined by this struggle. The truth is, you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a purpose for your life that is not diminished by this trial. We stand against the spirit of fear and confusion, declaring that God’s light will break through the darkness in your mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We pray that you would walk in that power, love, and soundness of mind.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister, lifting up their mental health struggles to You. Lord, You see the pain, the exhaustion, and the weight they carry, and we ask that You would bring healing to their mind. We pray for the upcoming medication change—that it would be effective, bringing stability, clarity, and relief from the symptoms of psychosis. We ask that You would guide the hands of the doctors and nurses, giving them wisdom to provide the best care possible.
Father, we also pray against the flashbacks and nightmares that have been tormenting them. We rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma in Jesus’ name, and we declare that Your peace would flood their mind and heart. Give them restful sleep, free from the grip of bad dreams, and replace those memories with Your truth and comfort. We ask that You would surround them with Your presence, reminding them that they are never alone.
Lord, we pray that You would draw them closer to You during this time. Help them to lean on You, to cast their anxieties on You, and to trust in Your faithfulness. Strengthen their faith, and let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that You would restore their hope and remind them of Your promises—that You are their healer, their refuge, and their strength.
We also pray for protection over their mind from the enemy’s attacks. Guard them from lies that tell them they are beyond help or that their situation is hopeless. Fill them with Your truth, and let them walk in the victory that is theirs through Christ Jesus.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who has conquered sin, death, and every affliction. May Your will be done in their life, and may Your glory be revealed through their healing and testimony. Amen.
In the days ahead, we encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises and to surround yourself with believers who can pray for you and speak life into your situation. You are not forgotten, and your healing is on the heart of God. Keep pressing into Him, and trust that He is working even when you can’t see it. We are standing with you, believing for breakthrough and restoration in every area of your life.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
