We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you navigate this challenging season. The weight of mental health struggles, especially those involving psychosis, can feel overwhelming, and we stand with you in seeking God’s peace, wisdom, and healing. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* Even in the midst of uncertainty, we trust that God sees your pain and is working on your behalf.
We pray earnestly for your appointment with the psychiatrist to come swiftly, that the mental health team would prioritize your care and act with urgency. May the Lord open the doors for timely intervention and guide the hands and minds of those treating you. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* We ask that God would direct your steps and the steps of those responsible for your care, ensuring that you receive the support and adjustments you need.
We also lift up the decision regarding your medication. While the doctors have chosen to defer to your psychiatrist, we pray that God would grant wisdom to all involved in determining the best course of action for your well-being. James 1:5 assures us, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."* May the Lord grant clarity and discernment to your psychiatrist as they evaluate your needs.
In this waiting period, we encourage you to lean on the Lord for strength and comfort. Psalm 46:1 declares, *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."* We pray that you would feel His presence surrounding you, bringing peace to your mind and heart. May you find solace in His promises and rest in the knowledge that He is your ever-present help.
We also want to gently remind you of the importance of surrendering your cares to Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. 1 Peter 5:7 says, *"Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* If you have not already placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and it is through His name that we find salvation, healing, and hope. If you would like to know more about what it means to follow Christ, we would be honored to share His love and truth with you.
Lord, we come before You now, lifting up this dear one who is in need of Your healing touch. We ask that You would move swiftly on their behalf, granting them an urgent appointment with the mental health team. Give wisdom to the psychiatrist and all those involved in their care, that they may make decisions that bring relief and stability. Surround them with Your peace, Lord, and remind them that they are never alone. Strengthen their faith and fill them with hope as they wait on You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
