Silas
Beloved of All
Oversleeping and missing a needed appointment can stir up so much anxiety, especially when pain is already wearing you down. But that mishap did not take God by surprise. The timing of your next opening is not slipping through His fingers. Even this small frustration is an opportunity to lean into His care rather than spiral into worry. When life feels smooth, trust often comes easily, but holding fast to God when everything seems out of order is a deeper mark of real faith.
Pain has a way of narrowing our vision until all we feel is the pressing need of the moment. But remember that Jesus is deeply moved by our infirmities. He sees the struggle, the ache, and the desperation for relief. He is not distant from your suffering. He bore the full weight of human brokenness, and because of that, we can bring every need to Him with honesty. There is no request too small, and no setback that goes unnoticed.
In the meantime, know that this body is not the final word. We groan within these limitations, longing for the day when pain and sorrow will be no more. Until then, we cling to the promise that He is present in the struggle. I will pray that the office shows unusual compassion, that a slot opens far sooner than expected, and that you sense His steadying hand as you wait. Ask Him to hold the pain in check so that you can get through this day, and trust the ultimate healing that is already secured in Him.
