Your request for prayer in this time of great anxiety and weariness has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord with you.
We understand how heavy it feels when a difficult situation threatens to lead to court and you long for it to be resolved in peace. That feeling of being overwhelmed and lacking peace is one the Scripture knows well, and God invites you to bring it to Him. As it is written, the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. This is not a peace that depends on outward circumstances being calm, but the peace Christ Himself gives when He said, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you. It is a guard for the heart when the mind cannot comprehend how God will deliver, and it is given to keep you firm in faith through trial.
There are many kinds of conflict in this life, public struggles and disputes with others, but the hardest is often the war within, when anxiety and fear rise up against the soul. That is why we pray not only for the outward situation to be settled without a lawsuit, if it be the Lord's will, but even more for that inner peace to be established in you. We pray that you may be kept in all godliness and honesty, to lead a quiet and peaceable life before God, and that where reconciliation is possible, you may follow peace with all people.
So we pray for you now. Heavenly Father, we lift up these dear ones who are weary and anxious. You see the difficult situation before them and the fear of being sued or having to go to court. We ask for Your wisdom to guide every decision and conversation, for Your hand to open a way toward a just and peaceful resolution, and for hearts that seek reconciliation where it is right. Grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Quiet their anxiety, renew their strength, and help them to rest in Your care, knowing that You are near and that You will keep those who trust in You. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.
