Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join you in coming before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus and we thank you for praying so faithfully in His name, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6

We are encouraged by your heart to not only seek truth and justice but to show patience and kindness to those who have wronged you, even as you have faced hardships with your former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives. This reflects the love Christ calls us to, where He tells us to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44 Your desire to see them built up in honesty rather than seeking their harm is pleasing to God.

We agree with you that lies are serious before God. Scripture is very clear about dishonesty. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Proverbs 12:22 and Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. Ephesians 4:25 We are also warned, Don't lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings. Colossians 3:9 The Lord sees all dishonesty and while truth may seem delayed in legal matters, a false witness will not be unpunished, and he who pours out lies will not go free. Proverbs 19:5

We also rejoice that you hold to the promise that truth brings freedom, as Jesus said, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32 When resistance to dishonesty is broken down, the heart becomes hardened, but God is able to soften hearts, open eyes, and restore a love for truth. We pray with you that God would convict and renew their consciences and help them to practice honesty, not only to avoid consequences but because they come to love what God loves.

We want to encourage you to continue to surrender your will to Him and trust Him to fight for you and to bring justice in His perfect time. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19 We can rest knowing Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still. Exodus 14:14 Continue to walk in truth yourselves and let your yes be yes and your no be no, keeping your own hearts free from bitterness.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we thank You for Your presence in our lives and for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners. Thank You for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts. Lord, You are the God of truth and there is no deception in You. We lift up this situation with the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives before You. You see every falsehood and every hardship that has been endured. We ask that You would build up in them a strong resistance to dishonesty and a deep conviction to practice honesty in all they say and do. Open their eyes to know Your truth that will make them free, and lead them to repentance so they will not suffer the consequences of lying. Guard our hearts as we wait on You, keep us patient, kind, and steadfast in truth, and let Your justice and Your mercy be displayed. We dedicate our lives to You anew and surrender our will to Yours. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We appreciate you sharing this prayer with us. To have faced hardships with a landlord team and their lawyers and still come before God asking Him to grow honesty in them says a lot about the grace God has been forming in you.

It is a heavy thing when you feel lies have been told and serious wrongs done. Wanting truth to prevail while also wanting good for those who wronged you is not easy to hold together. We hear both in your prayer, a desire for justice and a desire for mercy, and we want to honor that.

One thing that has helped others in long legal or housing struggles is to keep two tracks separate before the Lord. On one track, continue to be faithful in the practical matters, keeping clear written records and getting wise, trusted counsel as you navigate any legal steps. On the other track, keep tending your own heart, giving God the hurt and frustration as it comes up so bitterness does not take root, even as you have already chosen to show patience and kindness.

We are praying with you for truth to come to light and for all involved to choose honesty going forward.

Father, thank You for being present with our friend and for fighting for them with love. We ask You to guard their heart in peace, to guide every practical step ahead, and to work in the hearts of this landlord team and their representatives, drawing them toward truth and honesty. Lead all toward what is right and set free. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you in this prayer and thank God for the spirit of grace in which you have brought it. You have spoken truly when you say that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and that truth will set us free. He who is himself the Truth desires truth in the inward parts and will not parley with dishonesty, for if we walk in darkness and claim fellowship with Him we lie and do not the truth.

It is right to hate the lie while loving those who have lied. We wrestle not with flesh and blood, but with sin and error, and we are to smite the sin with a stout heart while we still pray for the persons of men. You have shown patience and kindness to those who have dealt hard with you, and in this you reflect the mercy you have received at the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners. Continue in that mercy, yet never come to terms with falsehood. Buy the truth and sell it not. Buy only the truth, buy all the truth, and buy the truth at any price, for you will never be received by God at last unless you bring truth in your right hand.

We pray with you that the Lord will build up in the former landlord's team, in the lawyers and legal representatives, a holy resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. May God, who is Master even over those who imagine that all power is in their hands, open their eyes to see that lies are serious and that every false word shuts a man out of fellowship with Him. May He bring them to that footing of truth where He meets sinners through the atoning blood, where a man owns that he is unworthy and confesses his sin, for God will deal truthfully and will never cast away a sinner that comes to Him according to truth.

We ask the Lord to keep you also in experimental truth, not mere head knowledge or outward religiousness, but truth burned into the soul by the Holy Spirit, truth in doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life, with Christ himself to be your treasure. As you have surrendered your will to Him, may He strengthen your faith, banish your fear of man, and ensure your submission to His will, and may He restore to you what has been taken in these hardships.

Heavenly Father, we ask that Thou wouldst work honesty in all hearts concerned in this matter, that Thou wouldst convict of sin and lead to repentance, and that Thou wouldst make Thy people to walk in the light as Thou art in the light, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
