Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join with you in this Christ centered prayer and we are deeply encouraged by your heart to bring even those who have wronged you before the throne of grace. You have rightly come in the name of Jesus, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him as we read in John 14:6, and we thank God that you have acknowledged the sacrifice of the Cross where His blood was shed for us sinners.

We agree with you that lies are indeed serious before God. Scripture is very clear about this. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight in Proverbs 12:22. We are told in Ephesians 4:25 to put away falsehood and speak truth each one with his neighbor, and in Colossians 3:9 not to lie to one another. The Lord sees all dishonesty and injustice, and His Word warns in Proverbs 19:5 that a false witness will not be unpunished, and he who pours out lies will not go free. Yet we also know that God desires repentance and restoration rather than judgment.

What blesses us most in your request is the grace you have shown to your former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives. Even as you have faced hardships you have chosen patience and kindness, which reflects the very heart of Christ. Jesus calls us in Matthew 5:44 to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. You are living this out by asking God to build up their resistance to dishonesty and to open their eyes to the truth that will set them free, as Jesus promised in John 8:32 you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.

We also hear your trust that God is the one who fights for you. While you seek truth and honesty to prevail, we remember Romans 12:19 that vengeance belongs to the Lord and He will repay, so we can release our hurt into His just and merciful hands and continue to walk in honesty ourselves.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You with thanksgiving for Your presence in our lives and for the heavenly gifts You pour out and for the blood of Jesus shed on the Cross for us sinners. Lord, You are the God of all truth and in You there is no falsehood. We lift up this former landlord's team, their lawyers and legal representatives before You. You know the dishonesty that has taken place and the hardness of heart that is required to continue in lies. We ask that You would convict them by Your Holy Spirit, soften their hearts, and build in them a holy resistance to dishonesty. Help them to practice honesty, to love truth, and to turn from falsehood. Open their eyes to see that truth will indeed set them free and that lying brings consequences both now and before Your judgment. Bring them to repentance and to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Father, we also lift up these dear ones who have been wronged. Thank You for giving them grace to show patience and kindness. Strengthen them to continue to surrender their will to You, to walk in integrity, and to trust You as their defender and provider. Guard their hearts from bitterness and fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Let Your justice and Your mercy be displayed in this situation and let Your name be glorified.

We dedicate all of this to You and surrender our will to Yours. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer with us. To have faced hardships because of dishonesty and still come before God asking Him to build honesty in those who hurt you says a lot about the grace God is already at work in you.

It makes sense that lies would leave a deep mark. When truth is twisted, especially in legal matters with a landlord and lawyers, it can affect your sense of security and trust for a long time. Wanting truth to prevail is not just about winning a case, it is about wanting what is right for everyone involved, including those who chose to lie, so they do not remain trapped by it.

We admire that you are holding both things together, gratitude for God's presence and a desire for justice tempered with kindness. That kind of steady posture often takes time to grow, and it is understandable if some days feel more peaceful than others.

If matters with the former landlord are still unresolved, it can help to keep careful notes and to have one or two trusted, grounded people, perhaps a pastor or a wise counselor, walk alongside you for clarity and support as you continue to entrust the outcome to the Lord.

Father, we bring this situation before You in Jesus' name. We ask You to guard this friend's heart in truth and peace, to let Your justice and mercy be seen, and to work honesty and freedom in every heart involved. Lead them day by day as they surrender their will to You. Amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, giving thanks for the spirit of patience and kindness which the Lord has wrought in you even in the midst of hardship.

You have done well to remember that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and that He shed His blood for sinners. There is no truth apart from Him, for He did not merely speak the truth, He was the Truth, transparent and perfect in word and in deed. The Scripture saith, Buy the truth and sell it not, and again, Thy word is truth. To love truth is to love Christ Himself, and to hate every false way is to walk in the light as He is in the light.

Lies are indeed a grievous sin before a God whose very name is abundance in goodness and truth, a God who cannot lie. The holy God will not hold him guiltless who bears false witness, and the truth must be in the heart as well as upon the lip. We rejoice that you do not ask for vengeance, but that you have sought to overcome evil with good, showing patience and kindness to those who have opposed you. This is the victory which Christ teacheth His people, to meet untruth not with bitterness but with prayer.

We therefore pray with you that the Lord in His mercy would work honestly in the hearts of that former landlord and of the lawyers and representatives of whom you speak. That He would break the power of deceit, build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty, and bring them to honest dealing with God and with man. May the Spirit of God convince them that a lie must first break down the conscience before it can be uttered, and may He open their eyes to see that truth alone sets free. We ask not that God would bless falsehood, but that He would grant repentance unto truth, that they may come to confess their sin and find pardon through the atoning blood, for on the ground of truth alone will God meet with sinners.

We exhort you still to buy the truth at any price, to hold fast doctrinal truth, experimental truth in the heart, and practical truth in the life. Continue to surrender your will to Him and to rest upon His faithful promises, for sooner shall heaven and earth pass away than one word of our God shall fall to the ground. He who has fought for you will keep you, and He will cause even this trial to prove the reality of His salvation in your soul.

May the Lord keep you steadfast, truthful in all things, and may He who is King of Truth rule your understanding, your affections and your whole conversation, till you see Him face to face.

We commend you and all concerned to His faithful and true keeping, in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour. Amen.
