Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you in this prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, and we thank you for coming boldly before His throne with a heart that seeks truth and extends grace even in hardship.

We agree with you that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life as He said in John 14:6, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. We thank God with you for His presence, for fighting for you, for His heavenly gifts, and above all for the sacrifice of the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners. It is only through that blood that we are forgiven and made able to stand before a holy God.

We share your burden concerning dishonesty and we affirm with you that lies are serious before God. Scripture tells us plainly that lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight in Proverbs 12:22, and that we are to put away falsehood and speak truth with our neighbor, for we are members of one another in Ephesians 4:25. The Lord calls us to not lie to one another in Colossians 3:9, because all lying has its root in the father of lies. Jesus teaches us in John 8:44 that the devil is a liar and the father of lies, and those who practice deceit follow his ways and not God's. And we are warned that all liars will have their part outside the kingdom unless they repent in Revelation 21:8. This is why your prayer for resistance to dishonesty is so needed and so biblical.

We are deeply encouraged by the grace God has given you to show patience and kindness to the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while you have faced hardships because of their dishonesty. This reflects the heart of Christ who calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us in Matthew 5:44, and to not repay evil for evil but to overcome evil with good in Romans 12:21. To continue to choose honesty and kindness when you have been wronged is a powerful testimony, and we pray God will continue to strengthen you in that.

We also hold fast with you to the promise that truth will set us free. Jesus said in John 8:32 you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. We pray that this freedom comes both to you through vindication and to those who have practiced deceit through repentance.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before you and we thank you for your mercy and your truth that endures forever. We thank you for the Cross and for the forgiveness we have through the blood of Jesus. Lord, you see the dishonesty and the serious wrongs that have been committed, you see every lie spoken and every hardship endured, and nothing is hidden from your eyes. We ask Lord that you would bring truth into the light, for you have promised in Psalm 37:5-6 to bring forth righteousness as the light and justice as the noonday when we commit our way to you.

Father, we lift up the former landlord's team, the lawyers and the legal representatives before you. We ask that you build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and a love for truth. Open their eyes to see that lying brings consequences and that honesty honors you. Convict their hearts by your Holy Spirit, lead them to repentance, and help them to practice honesty in all their dealings, that they may turn from the way of the father of lies and walk in your truth. Let them know that you desire truth in the inward parts in Psalm 51:6 and that you are a God who cannot lie in Titus 1:2.

Lord, we also pray for those who have been hurt by these lies. Grant them peace, restore what has been taken or damaged, guard their hearts from bitterness, and let your justice and mercy prevail. Help them to continue to surrender their will to you and to dedicate their lives fully to you, trusting that you fight for them and will bless them with every heavenly gift according to your will.

We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, our way, our truth and our life, Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer and the gracious spirit in it. Thanking God for His presence and for the cross even while you have been through hardships with that former landlord's team is not a small thing, and choosing to pray for their honesty rather than only for your own vindication says a lot about the work God is doing in you.

Wanting truth to prevail is right, and it is also heavy to carry when you have felt the cost of dishonesty. We have found it helps to remember that releasing a wrong to God often happens on two levels. One is a clear decision not to pursue revenge and to continue to wish good for the other person, which you are already doing as you show patience and kindness. The other is the slower emotional side, where resentment and fear gradually loosen as we keep bringing the hurt back to Him. Both take time, and God is patient with us in that process.

As you continue to walk this out, it may help to stay anchored in what is yours to do: keep walking in truth yourselves, keep clear and accurate records of what has happened, and if legal matters are still open, have one trusted, wise advisor walk with you so you are not carrying the details alone.

Father, we lift this whole situation to You. Thank You for the grace You have already given to respond with kindness. We ask for Your protection and provision for the one praying, for wisdom for every step ahead, and for Your truth to be made clear in a way that brings freedom and guards all involved from further harm. Lead each heart toward honesty and peace. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join with you in bringing it before our God who is abundant in goodness and truth.

It is right that you come in the name of Jesus, for He is the way, the truth and the life, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. We thank God with you for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for the heavenly gifts which come through the blood shed upon the Cross for sinners. There we see how serious sin is, and how great is His mercy.

You have spoken truly that lies are a great evil. Our God cannot lie. His very name is truth, and His Word is truth, and sooner shall heaven and earth pass away than one promise of His shall fall to the ground. To lie is to depart from His character and to bring sorrow and judgment upon the soul. Therefore it is wise and faithful to pray as you have prayed.

We commend the grace that God has given you to show patience and kindness to the former landlord's team, to the lawyers and to the legal representatives, even in the midst of hardship. This is to overcome evil with good, which is the Christian's calling. While the world renders evil for evil, the saints learn to overcome evil by the goodness which Christ works within them.

We now join you in asking the Lord to work in the hearts of those who have practiced dishonesty. May the Spirit of God convince them of the sin of lying, and may He build up in them a holy resistance to all falsehood. We pray that they may come to honest dealing with God, confessing what is true about themselves, and honest dealing before men, practicing truth in doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life. For truth spoken may be resisted, but truth embodied in a life transformed by Christ has power through the Spirit.

We pray that they may know that truth which sets free. Our Lord Jesus did not merely speak the truth, He is the Truth, transparent and holy in word and in deed. To know Him is to be set free from the bondage of sin and from the consequences of deceit. May the Lord open their eyes to see that a real fall requires a real atonement, and that a real pardon is to be found only through faith in His shed blood. On the ground of truth, confessing sin, and on the ground of truth, that Christ died for sinners, God meets with men in mercy.

Therefore we exhort you to continue to buy the truth and sell it not. Hold fast to Holy Scripture as the standard of truth, seek to know its truth experimentally in your own heart, and live it out practically in all your actions. Let your life be consistent and straightforward, and let Christ who is the Truth be your treasure forever.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will strengthen your faith in this storm, that He will keep you from the fear of man, that He will cause truth to prevail, and that He will guard your own heart in sincerity and holiness until you see Him face to face.

May the God of all truth keep you and establish you in His grace, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We join you in this prayer and give thanks with you for the presence of God in your lives and for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners. You have prayed well, for Jesus indeed is the way, the truth and the life, and it is right to ask that truth would prevail.

Lies are not small faults. Scripture shows that dishonesty brings great wretchedness, and when gain or advantage is sought through dishonesty it adds to that wretchedness the loss of the kingdom and the danger of hell itself. Those who speak lies in hypocrisy do so not in ignorance but with a conscience that has become hardened, having broken down every resistance to falsehood. That is why your request is so needed, that God would build up in these people a new resistance to dishonesty and teach them to practice honesty.

There is great need everywhere for an honest soul. When truth lays hold on such a soul she easily masters it, as the sun easily enlightens clear eyes. When truth does not master a person, the fault is not in the weakness of truth but in the want of candor in the soul itself. So we pray with you that God would open their eyes, make their souls candid and clear, and let truth shine forth and do its work in them. For truth will indeed set us free, while falsehood, oaths and perjuries in matters of buying and selling and in legal dealings only rivet a person more firmly to earthly and covetous things.

We also thank God for the grace He has already given you to show patience and kindness to the former landlord's team, to the lawyers and legal representatives, even in hardship. Continue in that same spirit. Do not return evil for evil, but commit your cause to Him who judges righteously and who fights for His people. Keep your own hands and lips honest, content with honest labor and honest dealings, and trust that God sees and will bring what is hidden into light.

So we pray: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, grant to those who have dealt dishonestly a spirit of repentance. Take away the seared conscience and give a tender and truthful heart. Teach them to love honesty and to hate falsehood, that they may not suffer the consequences of lying but may walk in the freedom of Your truth. Guard also these Your children who have prayed, that they may remain steadfast, surrendered to Your will, and blessed with Your heavenly gifts. In Jesus name, Amen.
