Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join with you in thanking our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus for His presence in our lives and for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts. We agree that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life as He said in John 14:6, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. We thank Him with you for the sacrifice of the cross where His blood was shed for us sinners.

We affirm with you that lies are serious before God. His Word tells us in Proverbs 12:22 that lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight, and in Colossians 3:9 we are told not to lie to one another, seeing that we have put off the old man with his doings. We also remember Revelation 21:8 which warns that all liars will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which shows how gravely God views dishonesty. At the same time we are taught in Ephesians 4:25 to put away falsehood and speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.

We are encouraged by your grace in showing patience and kindness to the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while facing hardships because of their dishonesty. This reflects the heart of God who calls us in Romans 12:19 not to seek revenge ourselves but to give place to God's wrath, for vengeance belongs to Him and He will repay. We also cling to the promise in Exodus 14:14 that Yahweh will fight for us and we shall be still, and to John 8:32 that we will know the truth and the truth will make us free.

We pray together now. Father, we come before You in Jesus' name and ask You to build up in these people a holy resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. Open their eyes to see that truth sets us free and that lying only brings consequences and bondage. Convict their hearts to turn from falsehood, to confess and repent, and to practice truthfulness in all their dealings. Let Your Spirit work in them to restore what has been broken and to walk in integrity. For our brother and sister who have been wronged, we ask You to continue to give grace, peace and strength, to guard their hearts from bitterness, to provide justice according to Your perfect will, and to help them to surrender their will fully to You as they have dedicated their lives to You. Keep them steadfast in truth and let Your presence be their comfort and defense. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer. It takes real grace to have been hurt by dishonesty and still come before God asking Him to work in the hearts of those who hurt you, that they would turn toward honesty.

What you named is important. Lies do real harm, especially when they involve legal matters, and it makes sense that this has been a hard season. At the same time we hear your desire not to be shaped by that hurt, but to keep showing the patience and kindness God has shown you.

One thing that may encourage you as you keep praying this way is that choosing to want good for someone, even to pray for their honesty, is a decision you can make before all the hurt feelings have settled. The emotions around being wronged often take longer to quiet, and they can come and go. Giving both the decision and the feelings time, and bringing them honestly to God, can keep bitterness from taking root while you still tell the truth about what happened.

If legal matters are still ongoing, it can help to keep clear, truthful records and to have a steady pastor or trusted counselor to talk with, so you are not carrying the stress alone.

Father, we thank You for this heart that desires truth and for the way You have sustained them through hardship. We ask for Your peace to guard them, for wisdom for each next step, and for truth to be made clear. Work in the hearts of all involved and draw each one toward honesty and toward You. We surrender this situation to Your will and ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you before the throne of grace, giving thanks that you have come in the name of Jesus who is Himself the way, the truth and the life.

It is a right and godly thing to hate dishonesty and to love truth, for our Lord Jesus is the King of Truth and He is transparent from head to foot, Truth in word and Truth in deed. You have done well to bring this burden to Him, for He alone can give that honesty which you desire to see. The Scriptures warn us that the refuges of lies shall be swept away, for a cold hard truth from Heaven like hail shall crash through every false confidence. No lie can stand before Him who is Truth embodied, and no man can have fellowship with God while he walks in darkness and loves a lie.

We praise God that in your trial He has given you grace to show patience and kindness, thus overcoming evil with good. This is the Christian art, to repay untruth with truth and injury with grace, looking to Christ our familiar Friend who lives and reigns for us. Continue to buy the truth and sell it not, for Holy Scripture is the standard of the Truth of God, and the truth which you have believed, that we are saved through the precious blood of Christ shed on the Cross for sinners, is the only ground of peace with God.

We pray with you for those of whom you speak, the former landlord's team and those who represent them. We ask the Lord to work in their hearts honest dealing with God, for He will meet a man nowhere else but on the ground of truth. When a man confesses that he has sinned, that is truth, and when he believes that Christ died for sinners, that is truth on God's side which enables Him to smile upon sinners. May the Spirit of God open their eyes to see that truth alone sets free, and that every lie brings its own bitter consequence. May He build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and teach them to practice honesty in all their dealings, that they may be delivered from the snare of falsehood.

And for you, we pray that the Lord will keep you in His truth, strengthen your faith in the storm, and give you daily grace to surrender your will to His will and to dedicate your life anew to Him. May you know more deeply the power of that truth which says, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and may you rest in it and rejoice in it.

We commit you and those for whom you pray to the mercy of our faithful God, asking these things in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.
