We hear your heart in this season of deep disappointment and we are lifting you up together before the throne of grace. Disappointment is a heavy burden and it can make the future feel unclear, but we know that God sees you right where you are and He is near to you even now. Psalm 34:18 reminds us that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, and Psalm 42:11 asks why are you in despair, my soul, why are you disturbed within me, hope in God, for I shall yet praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God.

We want to encourage you that disappointment does not mean God has forgotten you or that His plans have failed. His thoughts toward you are still good and His mercies are new every morning. Lamentations 3:22-23 tells us it is because of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail, they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness. Jeremiah 29:11 declares for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And Romans 8:28 assures us that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Even when we cannot see the good, God is still working for our good and for His glory.

We also gently want to address that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We share this in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 teaches there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through Jesus that our prayers are heard and our disappointment can be exchanged for living hope.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we lift up this dear one to You who is carrying such deep disappointment. You know every detail, every hope that feels deferred, every tear that has been shed. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would draw near and comfort this heart with Your presence. Pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding as Philippians 4:6-7 promises, guarding heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help this dear one to cast all anxiety on You because You care for them, as 1 Peter 5:7 teaches. Renew strength and hope, lift up this soul from despair, and remind them that You are working even in this difficult season. Lead them to seek You daily in prayer and in Your Word, to trust Your perfect will and timing, and to find joy not in circumstances but in Your unfailing love. We ask that You would restore hope, guide each next step, and let Your will be done in this life for Your glory. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord honestly in prayer, to open His Word daily, and to share your burdens with faithful believers who can walk with you. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us don't you be afraid, for I am with you, don't be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Hold fast to Him, for He is faithful and He will not leave you in this disappointed place without purpose. We are continuing to pray with you and for you that God will turn this season into a testimony of His goodness and sustaining grace.

We are glad you reached out and told us honestly where you are. Feeling generally disappointed with life can be so wearing, especially when there is not one single cause to point to but a sense that things have not turned out as you hoped.

We want you to know that disappointment does not mean you have failed or that God has stepped away. It is a very human place to be, and many faithful people have walked through seasons where hope felt thin. Hope is not pretending everything is fine, it is the quiet belief that what you long for is still possible with God, even when you cannot see the way forward yet. He is still near and still at work in your character and story, even through the hard stretches.

If it would help, consider sharing more of what is weighing on you with one trusted person this week, a pastor, a mature friend or a counselor. You do not need perfect words, just an honest conversation so you are not carrying this alone. Staying connected and taking one small faithful step at a time can keep hope from growing isolated.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see this disappointment and the weariness it brings. Draw near with Your comfort and steady presence, renew a sense of Your goodness, and give wisdom and strength for each next step. Lead with Your peace and hope. In Jesus name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your words concerning a disappointed place in life have been heard, and they describe a case which is very sad, yet not a strange one. Many of the Lord's people have been wearied in the length of their way, and have known what it is to feel that hope itself has grown dim.

I pray you, then, let not your feelings fly in the teeth of God's promises, but hope on. There is a hope which is no hope, when we look for it in ourselves, in our own strength, or in the changing things of this world. For surely in those things there is no hope. But there is also a blessed truth, that though there is no hope for you in yourself, there is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as you. The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy, even though that hope be as yet but little and trembling.

Do not believe the lie of Satan which whispers that there is no hope and therefore you may as well despair. You are still in the land of mercy, and the gate of mercy still stands open. The text says, Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. You think perhaps that it would be presumption to look to Christ and hope for mercy, and so you lie dumb before God. But bending over you in infinite compassion, the great Father says, Open thy mouth. Speak. His ears are waiting to hear your cry. If He has brought others out of bondage, take hope that He can deliver you also.

May the Lord turn what is now only a possible hope into an actual and good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ. May He lift you from this disappointment and establish you in the hope of your calling, that you may not be moved from it.

Let us pray for you. O Father of mercies, Thou seest this weary and disappointed heart. Thou knowest its heaviness and its need. Look upon it in compassion, and give it to hope in Thy mercy. Help this soul to open its mouth wide before Thee, to tell Thee all its sorrow, and to receive Thy filling. For Jesus Christ's sake, lift up the downcast, renew strength, and let this trial work for good, that Thy name may have the praise. Amen.
