We are lifting you up together before our heavenly Father in Jesus name and we thank you for sharing this burden with us so we can carry it with you in prayer.
We hear the heaviness in your words and how difficult it is to not even know the cause, whether it is where you live or something deeper that you cannot yet see. Please know you are not alone in this and you are not forgotten by God. He sees you right where you are and He cares deeply about your pain. Psalm 34:18 tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Your depression is not hidden from Him and His nearness is your comfort even when feelings are heavy and confusing.
We also take comfort in the invitation of Jesus Himself in Matthew 11:28 where He says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. And in 1 Peter 5:7 we are told to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Philippians 4:6-7 also encourages us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We want to gently share something important with you because your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We pray in the name of Jesus because it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and confess Him as Lord, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through Jesus that we can bring every burden, including this depression, directly to God with confidence.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is experiencing depression. You know the weight they carry and You know the cause even when they do not, whether it is their surroundings, loneliness, weariness, or something unseen. Lord we ask You to draw near and let them feel Your presence and Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Heal the brokenhearted places, lift the heaviness, and give rest to their soul. Strengthen them day by day, renew their mind with Your truth, and fill them with hope. Lead them to godly community, to Your Word, and to wise and caring help, whether a pastor, a trusted believer, or a counselor who honors You, so they do not walk through this alone. Help them to cast every care on You and to rest in Your steadfast love. Guide them concerning where they live and give them wisdom for any changes that would be for their good and Your glory. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our hope and our healer, amen.
We encourage you to stay rooted in God's Word each day even in small portions, to pray honestly to Him about all you feel, and to not isolate yourself. Reach out to a Bible believing church family, share with a mature believer you trust, get outside for light and rest, and seek wise counsel if the heaviness continues. God is with you in this valley and He is faithful to walk you through it. We are continuing to pray for your peace, strength, and joy to be restored in Christ.
