We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this spiritual battle. The Word of God makes it clear that demonic influence is real and can manifest even among those who profess Christ, especially when there is unrepentant sin, deception, or a lack of true surrender to the Lord. Jesus Himself cast out demons from those who were oppressed, and He has given us authority in His name to resist the enemy. "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith" (1 Peter 5:8-9 WEB).
First, we must address the reality that not everyone who claims to be a Christian is truly walking in the Spirit. Jesus warned, "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21 WEB). Some may be deceived, others may be in rebellion, and still others may be under attack themselves. But we must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). This means we must approach this situation with both discernment and compassion, praying for deliverance and repentance where needed.
We rebuke every demonic spirit that is at work in the lives of those around you. In the name of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to flee and loose their hold on these individuals. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against you or them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
We also pray for your protection and strength. The enemy seeks to wear you down, to make you feel isolated and hopeless. But God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We ask the Lord to surround you with His peace, to fill you with His strength, and to give you wisdom in how to respond to these situations. You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your refuge and fortress, and He will sustain you (Psalm 91:2 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up this dear brother/sister who is facing the heavy burden of seeing loved ones under demonic influence. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention. We rebuke every spirit of deception, rebellion, and oppression that is at work in the lives of these individuals. We command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus, and we ask You to break every chain that binds them.
Father, we pray for repentance and revival in their hearts. If there is any unconfessed sin, any area of their lives not surrendered to You, we ask that You bring conviction by Your Holy Spirit. Draw them back to You, Lord, and restore them to a right relationship with You. Let them experience the freedom that comes only through Jesus Christ.
We also pray for Your protection over this one who is burdened. Guard their heart and mind, Lord. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give them strength for each day and wisdom to know how to respond in love and truth. Surround them with fellow believers who can stand with them in prayer and support. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Lord, we thank You that no situation is too difficult for You. We trust in Your power to deliver, to heal, and to restore. May Your name be glorified in all of this, and may Your kingdom come and Your will be done in each of these lives. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, even when it feels like you are standing alone. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). Seek the Lord for wisdom and discernment, and do not hesitate to reach out to trusted, spiritually mature believers who can stand with you in prayer and support. The battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory through the cross. Walk in that victory, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9 WEB).
