Deliverance

Beloved of All
1. Pray for ### and his family to receive salvation wholeheartedly and encounter God.
2. Pray that God heals ###'s heart from hurt and wounds and pray that I get to the point of talking about wedding with ### and his family before the year ends
3. Pray that my wedding is fixed this year to ###

We join you in bringing these deep desires before the Lord and we thank you for sharing them with us.

We hear your heart for deliverance and salvation for this man and his family, for healing of his wounds, and for marriage to be established between you and him this year. These are weighty and holy matters and we want to seek God's will together with you in Jesus' name.

First we want to gently address something important we noticed. Your request mentions God but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that salvation and deliverance truly come. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Scripture declares in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To encounter God wholeheartedly is to encounter Jesus, to believe that He died for our sins and rose again, and to confess Him as Lord. As it is written in Romans 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. So as we pray for salvation for this man and his family, we pray specifically that they would hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, repent, and believe on Him, for in Acts 16:31 we read Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.

We also want to speak biblically about your desire for marriage, which we strongly affirm and endorse as God designed it. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman as God established in Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will cling to his wife, and they will be one flesh. And Hebrews 13:4 reminds us Let marriage be held in honor among all. We rejoice that you desire marriage rather than simply a relationship or partnership, and we encourage you to view this time as courtship with the clear goal of godly marriage to a fellow believer in Christ.

Because you have asked for his salvation, we must lovingly caution you with the truth of 2 Corinthians 6:14 Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity. Or what communion has light with darkness. If this man has not yet wholeheartedly received salvation through Jesus, it would not be biblically wise or honoring to God to fix a wedding date until he has truly become a new creation in Christ and demonstrates fruit of that faith over time. A wedding should not precede salvation, salvation should be the foundation for the wedding. We also encourage you both to remain pure and to flee from fornication, for sex before or outside marriage does not honor God and Scripture calls us to keep the marriage bed undefiled. We say this not to condemn but to protect you and to call you to God's best.

We also hear your desire for God to heal his heart from hurt and wounds. We serve a tender Healer and we cling to Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And in Matthew 11:28 we hear Jesus invite Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. God can and does bring deep inner healing and deliverance, but it is often a process as we walk with Him daily.

Regarding your desire to talk about marriage with his family before the year ends and to have the wedding fixed this year, we understand the longing for certainty and timing. We encourage you to trust the Lord's perfect timing above a calendar deadline. As Proverbs 19:21 says There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail. And Matthew 6:33 reminds us But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. If this marriage is God's will, He will make the way clear in His time, and it will be far better to wait for His confirmed will than to rush ahead.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and Savior. We lift up this man and his entire family to You and ask for true deliverance and salvation. Lord, open their eyes to see Jesus, soften their hearts to repent and believe, and grant them a genuine encounter with You that transforms their lives. Let them confess Jesus as Lord and be born again.

Lord, we ask You to heal this man's heart from every hurt and wound of the past. Touch the deep places only You can see, bind up what is broken, deliver him from any bondage, and restore him by Your mercy. Give our sister wisdom, patience, and discernment as she walks in courtship. Help her to honor You with purity, with prayer, and with trust in Your will. If it is Your will for these two to be joined in holy marriage, we pray You would confirm it, guide conversations with both families in a way that honors You, and establish a Christ centered marriage that glorifies You for a lifetime. But if this is not Your will, or if he does not come to faith, give her grace to accept Your direction and to wait on the godly spouse You have prepared. We place the timing of all things, including this year, into Your hands, trusting that Your plans are good as Jeremiah 29:11 declares. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We hear how much hope you are carrying in this, and how personal it is to you. Wanting ### and his family to truly encounter God, wanting your own heart to be healed from past hurts, and longing to see a clear path toward marriage, those are deep desires and we are joining you in bringing them to the Lord.

We also hear the timeline on your heart for this year. When a wedding feels so close and so important, waiting can feel heavy. One thing we have seen to be true is that healing of the heart is usually a process rather than a single moment. It grows as we honestly bring our painful memories to God and let Him work there over time, with patience and with trusted support around us.

A helpful next step could be to invite a pastor or mature mentor you both trust into the conversation early, someone who can listen to you and ### together about faith, family, and what a Christ-centered marriage would mean, and help you both discern wise timing that honors God and both families.

Father, we lift ### and his family to You and ask that You draw each of them to Yourself and make Yourself known to them. We ask You to gently heal hurt and wounds and bring wholeness. Give wisdom and clarity as conversations about the future unfold, and guide each step according to Your perfect will. We trust You with this story and ask all of this in Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard and we have taken it before the Lord in prayer, for there is no need too great and no heart too wounded for His grace to meet.

First, you ask that he and his family may receive salvation wholeheartedly and encounter God. This is the greatest of all petitions and the one we most gladly bring before Him. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed, for with the heart man believes unto righteousness. Salvation is not by our feeling or our resolving alone, but by looking unto Christ and trusting in Him whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. To be blind of heart is our sin, but to be made to see is the gift of grace, and our misery is our own work, but our salvation is of the Lord. We pray that the Lord will give to him and to his household a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, that they may turn from all that is vain and look unto Jesus and be saved, and that this faith may be a sincere and abiding trust, not a form without power.

Second, you ask for healing of the heart from hurt and wounds, and that conversation concerning marriage might come in due time. We know that the least thing about Christ is healing, for the leaves of the tree of life were for the healing of the nations, and a word from Him coming home to the heart brings healing to conscience and affection. His wounds are healed wounds, and they cannot fail to heal those that put their trust in Him. Pardon and healing are one in His hand, for when the Sun of Righteousness rises it brings healing in His wings, and He gives a new heart and a right spirit to those who seek Him. We pray that the Lord will bind up what has been broken, wash away bitterness, and teach both hearts to breathe their cares into the ear of God and to abide in the spirit of prayer, so that any counsel concerning the future may be spoken in holiness, in patience, and in a clear conscience before Him.

Third, you ask that your wedding may be fixed this year to this one. Here we must pray with holy care, for marriage is not a thing to be hastened according to our own timeline, but a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, ordained of God, wherein love and fidelity are to be kept and wherein the union of body and of household belongs only within that covenant. Two cannot walk together except they be agreed, and that agreement must first be an agreement with God. We therefore do not ask the Lord to bless simply what we desire, but to order your steps according to His perfect will. We pray that if you both are found trusting in Christ alone for salvation, walking in purity and keeping yourselves from all that would grieve your Father, and seeking godly counsel and the blessing of your families in the Lord, then He will make your path plain. If it be His will to bring you together in this holy estate, He will provide all that is needful in His time, and if not, He will give grace to trust His wisdom and to find your joy in the God of your salvation. We pray that you will not be moved by haste or by pressure, but will wait upon the Lord, guard your conduct, and keep your hearts where your profession is.

May the Lord grant you to fear Him and therefore to trust Him, to know the grandeur of His character and to joy in the God of your salvation. May He rend the heavens and come down to you, not as you have merely wished, but as His mercy knows you need, and may He keep you walking with Him in daily, habitual and friendly communion till His purpose is fulfilled.

We have received your request and we join you in bringing it before the Lord in prayer.

We pray first for salvation, for there is no greater need. We ask that God in His mercy would draw this man and his whole family to Himself, that they would hear the gospel, repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, for salvation is through Him alone. We pray that they would truly encounter the living Christ, that His death which is the salvation of the world would become their own hope, and that they would be born again by grace through faith.

We also pray for healing of the heart. God sees every hurt and wound and He is near to the brokenhearted. We ask that He would comfort, cleanse and restore, that He would bring peace where there has been pain, and that He would teach patience and trust in His loving care. Whether we are afflicted or comforted, God is able to use all things for our good and for His glory, and we ask that He would strengthen you to wait on Him with a contrite and hopeful heart.

Concerning marriage, we pray that the Lord would lead you according to His perfect will and in His perfect time. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, entered into before God in holiness and purity, with sex and living together belonging only within that covenant. Therefore we do not ask God simply to fix a date, but to guide you both into what is holy, wise and pleasing to Him. We pray that if it is His will for you to be married, He would make the way clear, give wisdom to you and to both families, provide godly counsel from your church, and keep you both pure and faithful as you seek Him. We pray that any talk of marriage would be done with honesty, with the blessing of parents and pastors, and with a desire to honor Christ above all. If this union is not His will, we pray He would give you grace to accept His direction and to trust His better plan.

We encourage you to continue in prayer, in the reading of Scripture, and in fellowship with mature believers who can counsel you face to face. Seek the Lord first, and trust that He who has prepared all good things for those who love Him will lead you step by step.

May the Lord grant you steadfast hope, healing and wisdom as you wait on Him.
