We join with you in prayer for this dear one and her son and we thank you for bringing this request before the Lord with us.
We want to gently address the matter of curses. For those who are in Christ, no curse spoken by man or assignment of the enemy can prevail against what God has blessed and redeemed. We do not live in fear of curses, for Christ has already borne every curse for us on the cross. Galatians 3:13 says Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree. And Isaiah 54:17 reminds us No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh's servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh. We also cling to 1 John 4:4 which says You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. So we rebuke any fear that curses have power over this family, and we declare that in Jesus Christ every chain is broken and every evil intent is rendered powerless. Romans 8:31 asks What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that deliverance and healing truly come. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by calling on the name of Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved, forgiven, and brought under His protection. If this dear one and her son have not yet fully trusted in Jesus, we pray they will do so today and walk in the freedom He gives.
We lift up her son for physical health and for healing of the heart. We pray for safe and steady weight loss, not through harsh or harmful means, but through wisdom, self control, and stewardship of the body God has given him. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. We pray that God will give him strength, discipline, and wise counsel, perhaps through godly medical guidance, and that he will be encouraged as he cares for his body. 3 John 1:2 says Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.
For past hurts, we pray for deep inner healing. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We pray that any wounds from rejection, disappointment, or painful memories would be brought into the light of God's love, and that forgiveness and peace would replace bitterness and sorrow. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that every curse, every word spoken against this dear one and her son, is broken and ended now by the blood of Jesus. We ask that You cover them with Your protection and let no weapon formed against them prosper. We ask for Your healing hand upon her son, for safe weight loss, for renewed health and energy, and for You to guide him in healthy habits that honor You. Heal his heart from every past hurt, Lord, bind up his wounds, and fill him with Your peace and identity in Christ. Help this family to walk in faith, not fear, knowing that You are for them. Draw them ever closer to Jesus, in whose name we have access to Your throne and in whose name we are saved. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them. Amen.

Deliverance and healing of painful memories are often not a single moment but a gentle process best walked out with mature, trusted believers who will pray with wisdom and care, at a pace that feels safe. If they have a pastor or Christian counselor they trust, it can help to invite one or two such people to pray with them regularly and to talk through the hurts as they are ready.
For your loved one's son and his desire to lose weight safely, we join you in praying for his health and strength, and we encourage coming alongside his doctor, and a dietitian if available, to together set a safe target and a steady plan. Your request has been brought before the Lord with care, and we join you in seeking His mercy and deliverance.
We are reminded that the curse which truly condemns the soul is the curse of the broken law, and from that curse there is but one deliverance. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, that the blessing might come upon us through His blood. If you are in Christ Jesus, no curse uttered against you can stand, for He has borne the penalty in your place, and His redemption is complete. We pray that you and your son may rest in that finished work, and that any evil intended against you would be shown to be powerless before the hand of the Lord who alone works deliverance. May the Lord bring you forth from every oppression, as He brought Israel forth with His outstretched arm, and may He cause you to know that it is He who delivers, and that the honor belongs to free grace alone.
We pray also for your son in his bodily need. We ask the Sun of Righteousness to rise upon him with healing in His wings, and that the Lord would grant him wisdom, strength and temperance to care for the body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit. May the Lord guide him to lose weight safely, to be sustained in health, and to find that even the leaves of the tree of life, the least things about Christ, are full of healing virtue to change and restore both body and spirit.
For the hurts of the past, we pray that pardon and healing may come together, for they are one in Christ. The inhabitant of Zion shall not say, I am sick, for when Jesus forgives He also heals. May the Lord blot out past sin, bind up the wounds of former sorrows, and cause your son to no longer remember the reproach of former days, but to live in the freshness which those healing leaves impart. May the bitterness of what has been give way to the joy of knowing that all things are yours in Christ, and that the Lord has chastened but not given you over unto death.
We pray that you both may trust wholly in the ransom which God Himself has found, even His own Son, and that you may be kept in peace within His borders, declaring the works of the Lord after your deliverance. May you prove the abundance of healing power that is in Jesus Christ and His salvation, and may your hearts meditate not upon terror that is past, but upon mercy that shall be yours world without end.
