We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that our access to the Father is only through Jesus Christ, His Son. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. Without Him, we cannot approach God or expect His intervention.
Now, we stand in the authority of Jesus’ name to break every curse that has been spoken or enacted against you and your son. The Bible declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, word curse, or spiritual oppression that has taken root in your lives. We command these curses to be broken and nullified in Jesus’ mighty name. The power of God’s Word assures us that "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment" (Isaiah 54:17).
We also pray for your son’s physical healing and weight loss. We ask the Lord to guide him in making wise choices about his health, trusting that God desires for him to prosper and be in health, just as his soul prospers (3 John 1:2). We pray for discipline and self-control, which are fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), to be strengthened in him. May he find joy in nourishing his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We ask for safe and sustainable weight loss, free from fad diets or harmful practices, but rather through godly stewardship of his body.
For his emotional healing, we ask the Lord to bring comfort and restoration to every wound from the past. The Bible tells us that "the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18). We pray that he would release bitterness, unforgiveness, or pain that may be weighing him down, and that he would experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May he find his identity in Christ, knowing that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
Father God, we ask You to surround this family with Your protection and love. Break every chain of bondage, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, and replace it with Your freedom. Strengthen their faith and trust in You, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. In His precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
