We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up and her son to the Lord our God, who is mighty to save and able to break every chain. Father, we declare in the name of Jesus that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment You shall condemn. We stand on Your Word in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says the Lord.
Lord, we rebuke every curse, generational or otherwise, that has been spoken or enacted against and her son. We break their power in the name of Jesus, for it is written in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" We declare that the blood of Jesus has broken every curse, and we command every evil assignment to cease now in Jesus' name.
Father, we pray for 's son, that You would grant him safe and healthy weight loss according to Your will. Give him discipline and self-control, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." We ask that You would strengthen him in his journey, providing him with wisdom and guidance every step of the way.
Lord, we also pray for healing from past hurts. Comfort him with Your love and peace, binding up his wounds as You promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Let him feel Your presence surrounding him, reminding him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that his worth is found in You alone.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. For it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to Your children. May Your will be done in the lives of and her son, and may they come to know You more deeply each day. We are asking Jesus to walk into every painful memory and bring His healing where shame and sorrow have taken root. Any curse pronounced against you or your son is but the echo of that thunder heard at Sinai, and against that thunder we have a perfect shelter. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. He stood in our place, bore our sins, and the curse that came of it was spent upon Him. Therefore, let not your heart tremble at any malediction of man or devil; the Lord’s blessing outweighs all, and that blessing is fixed upon His own through the cross.
Turn away from any thought that the past can curse you. Pardon and healing are one in the Savior’s hand. As regards the body, the leaves of the tree are for healing. The least things about Christ, the simple promises you might overlook, carry abundant healing virtue. Lift your eyes to the Sun of Righteousness, for He rises with healing in His wings. The wounds of old, the inward sorrows that have lingered, and the weight upon the frame, all these may be brought beneath that healing beam. He forgiveth all thine iniquities; He healeth all thy diseases. Do not doubt that He who has found a ransom for your souls can restore health to your son and make his way peace.

You may mention every child, every secret ache, every expected difficulty. The well is open in your household; draw from it. The Lord’s ear has not grown heavy, trust Him for the safe reduction of your son’s frame and the soothing of his spirit. Let your prayer be confident, for He brought them forth and not one of His little ones shall perish. After the trial, you shall declare, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.”

The church is a spiritual surgery, and here we may heal whatever wounds we have received without. Do not let the thought of curses disturb you, for if you give thanks in suffering wrongs, as Job did, the loss becomes gain, and the devil is not able to harm you. Rather, you will be benefited. See that you do not resort to diviners or live in fear, but hear the word with continual recollection, and the desire for deliverance will be answered in God's way.
As for the son, let him know that the body is not treacherous. It is the soul's unruly will that must be corrected. If he would lose weight safely, let him cultivate fortitude and self-control, not despising the flesh but bringing every passion into subjection. No one part of virtue is sufficient; there must be a careful hearing of the word, deliverance from all worldly softness, and a steady contempt for overindulgence. Those who pamper the body stir up desire, but the soul that chooses to mortify such impulses possesses power over it. Pray that he learns to store up treasure in heaven, where no decay can touch it, for that is true healing from past hurts and real deliverance from bondage.
