We join you in prayer for deliverance for you and your son and we thank you for bringing these needs before the Lord. We understand the burden of feeling under a curse and the desire for your son to walk in health and wholeness, both physically and emotionally.
We want to remind you that for those who are in Christ, no curse can stand against us, for Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us Galatians 3:13. We do not need to live in fear of curses, for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7 and no weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17. If you have not yet fully surrendered your lives to Jesus Christ, we encourage you to do so, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is the blood of Jesus that breaks every chain and we stand on that truth for you and your son.
We rebuke every curse, spell, word spoken against you and your son, and every assignment of the enemy to oppress you, and we declare that it is ended now in the mighty name of Jesus. We speak freedom and protection over your household and we pray that you will walk in the full assurance that he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4.
We lift up your son before the Lord for safe and healthy weight loss and for healing from past hurts. We pray that God will help him to steward his body well, for our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in us, which we have from God, and we are not our own, for we were bought with a price, therefore we glorify God in our body and in our spirit, which are His 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray for self-control and discipline which is fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22-23, and for wisdom to make healthy choices in eating and activity, and we encourage seeking wise medical counsel as you pursue this. We also pray for deep inner healing, for the Lord heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and He is close to those who are of a broken heart, and saves those who are of a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. May any bitterness, rejection, or pain from the past be healed by His love and may your son know how deeply he is loved and valued by his heavenly Father.
Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear parent and son to Your throne of grace. We thank You that every curse is broken at the cross and we declare deliverance and freedom over them now. Let no evil prevail against them and cover them with Your peace and protection. We ask for Your hand upon this son, guide him to lose weight safely and in a way that honors You and brings strength to his body, give him perseverance and hope. Touch his heart and heal every past hurt, wipe away every tear, restore what has been broken and fill him with Your joy and wholeness. Lead them both closer to Jesus each day and let them walk in the confidence of Your love and forgiveness. We ask this in the powerful and saving name of Jesus, Amen.

We pray that every curse spoken or intended against you and against this dear son would be shown to be powerless before the cross of Christ, for it is written that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, that the blessing might come through Him. There is no deliverance from sin and its curse except by the blood of the Lamb slain, and where Jesus has borne the penalty, the condemned sinner is set free. We ask the Lord to make that redemption real and known in your lives, that you may rest not in any charm or word of man, but in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation.
We lift up this son before the throne of grace. We ask the Sun of Righteousness to rise upon him with healing in His wings, and that the leaves of the tree of life, which are for the healing of the nations, may bring healing to his body and to his heart. We join you in bringing this request before the Lord with thanksgiving, for every prayer ought to be accompanied with thanksgiving and kept pure from all bitterness.
We pray that you and your son would know the full deliverance that is in Christ. Scripture says, Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things written in the book of the Law, and Christ has redeemed us from that curse by becoming a curse for us. Therefore no spoken curse, no evil wish, no accusation from the enemy has power over those who are in Him. We ask God to break and end every work of darkness spoken against you and your son, to silence every lie, and to establish you in the peace and protection that comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other name.
We also lift up your son before the Father for his health and healing. We ask for wisdom and grace for safe and steady weight loss, for self control and strength of body, and for a sound mind to care for the body God has given as His temple. We pray for healing from past hurts, that the Lord who heals the brokenhearted would bring comfort to old wounds, replace pain with His peace, and help him to grow in fortitude, in careful hearing of the Word, and in continual remembrance of God's mercy.

Your request has been lifted before the Lord and I am praying with you for deliverance, for health, and for deep inner healing.
In Scripture the curses you are concerned about are shown most clearly in Deuteronomy 27 and 28. The tribes stood on Mount Ebal to pronounce the curses that would follow breaking God's covenant, and after each one the people were to answer Amen, acknowledging that the judgment was right. Cursed is the one who dishonors father or mother, who moves a neighbor's boundary, who commits sexual sin such as incest or other perversions, and many other acts of disobedience. The blessings for obedience take only a few verses, while the curses go on at length, because the people were so prone to disobey. God said if they would not hearken to His voice and keep His commandments, those curses would pursue and overtake them.
That history helps us understand what a curse is in the Bible. It is not a spell that someone can put on you apart from God, but the stated consequence of turning away from God's way. For those who are in Christ, the good news is that Jesus bore our infirmities and our sicknesses, as Isaiah 53 says, and He became a curse for us so that we might be free from the curse of the broken law. So we do not pray as if we are fighting a mysterious dark power with its own authority, we pray resting in what Christ has already done, asking God to make His freedom real in your lives and to close every door that sin and disobedience may have opened in the past.
I am also praying for your son in two specific ways you mentioned. First for safe weight loss. God heals in many ways. Sometimes Jesus healed instantly with a touch, sometimes with only a word from a distance, and once He healed gradually in stages. All healing is from God, whether it comes in a moment or through a process. The natural processes He built into our bodies are divine processes, created by Him. For weight and health that often means a gradual healing, steady and safe steps, wise food, movement, rest, and medical counsel, all under God's care, rather than anything harsh or hurried. Pray for wisdom and for perseverance in the daily choices that lead to lasting health.
Second for healing from past hurts. The Lord cares about the wounds in the mind and heart as much as the body. Even when physical healing is slow or not yet seen, He can do a healing work in emotions and memories, lifting scars and bringing peace. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, why some are healed quickly and others walk a longer road, but we can trust His love and His power in every realm, over the body and over the spirit, and keep bringing every hurt to Him.
Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask for Your deliverance and protection over this family. Where there has been sin, bring confession and forgiveness through the blood of Jesus. Where there has been fear of curses, let them know that Christ has borne the curse and that no curse can pursue those who walk with You. Break every chain of the past and let Your blessing rest upon them as they seek to obey Your voice. Lay Your healing hand upon this son. Give him wisdom for safe and steady health, strength to care for the body You gave him, and grace for each day.
