The weight of words spoken against you and your son can feel like a shadow you can never escape, as if someone stood on a mountain and shouted curses that still echo in your life. But those ancient curses laid out in the law were never the final word. They were the penalty for disobedience that no one could bear, until Jesus bore it all in His body on the cross. Every curse that would have rested on you and your son was taken by Him. He became a curse for us, so that in Him blessing might flow freely. Because of that, you can stand in the valley and hear a different voice: the voice of the Son of God declaring peace.
Now, when you pray for these curses to end, you are not begging a reluctant judge. You are coming to the Father through the Son who has all authority. The demons recognized Him as the Son of God; they knew His power to torment them before their time. That same Son has given you adoption as a son. You are not a slave to past harm or generational words. The Spirit of the Son in your heart cries, “Abba, Father,” and that relationship makes you an heir, not of judgment, but of promise. So claim that. Tell the Father plainly: “I bring my son before You. The curses are broken because Christ was cursed for us. I ask You to command their effects to stop now.”
For your son’s weight, do not despise gradual healing. We often want an instant miracle, but the same Lord who could heal with a word sometimes led a blind man to see in stages. He designed the body with processes of restoration, and He can guide those processes safely. Ask Him to give your son wisdom, self-control, and the patience to cooperate with what the Creator is doing in his physical frame. Healing is no less divine when it unfolds over time through right choices and steady care. Pray that food and exercise become instruments of life, not chains.
About the past hurts: those wounds cut down to the deepest part of a person. Emotional scars often take longer to mend than physical ones. But the Son of God is well-acquainted with sorrow. He healed the centurion’s servant from a distance; He healed Peter’s mother-in-law by a touch. He can reach into your son’s memories and bring a healing that no one else sees. Trust Him for that. He may not erase the memory, but He can take the sting out of it. He can turn what was meant for harm into a source of compassion and depth. The father in Scripture rejoiced over a wise son; pray that as your son heals, he will gain a wisdom that guards his heart and steers him away from bitterness.
This is not about earning favor. You are already loved in the Beloved. The Father gave His only Son for you, so how will He not also with Him freely give you all things you need? Safety comes not from perfect circumstances but from trusting in the Lord. When you hide yourself in Him, you are safe from the enemy’s destruction, safe from the weight of old words, safe even from the consequences of sins long forgiven. Your son is given to the Son, and no one snatches him out of the Father’s hand. Not one is lost except that son of destruction who was never truly His. So you can be confident.
Keep bringing your son before the throne. The righteous run into the name of the Lord and are safe. There, the Healer still works, in body, in mind, in the hidden places of the heart.
