We join with you in prayer for deliverance and healing for you and your son and we stand together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

We hear the burden for protection from curses and for your son to find both physical health and inner healing. Scripture assures us that those who are in Christ are not under a curse but under blessing. Galatians 3:13 tells us Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. And Numbers 23:23 declares there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn as we read in Isaiah 54:17. We rebuke every curse, every spoken word of harm, every assignment of the enemy against you and your son and we declare that by the blood of Jesus those chains are broken. If there has been fear, unforgiveness, or opening to spiritual oppression we encourage you to renounce it, to forgive those who have hurt you, and to walk in obedience and faith, for Romans 8:1 reminds us there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and delivered. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 teaches there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to confess your sins and believe that He died and rose again for you, for then you will know His protection and peace in a personal way.

We lift up your son before the Lord for safe and healthy weight loss and for healing from past hurts. We know our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit as taught in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 and we are to glorify God in our bodies. We pray he will be strengthened to steward his health with discipline, nourishing food, wise activity and godly counsel, not from shame or vanity but from love for God and respect for the life God has given him. 3 John 1:2 shows God's heart that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. And for the wounds of the past we cling to Psalm 147:3 which says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. The Lord sees every hurt, every disappointment and rejection your son has carried, and He is near to comfort him. Philippians 4:6-7 promises that when we bring our anxieties to God His peace which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together now. Father in heaven we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You that You are our deliverer and healer. We ask that every curse, spell, or evil intention spoken against this dear parent and son be broken and rendered powerless now by the blood of Jesus. Let no weapon prosper against them and let them walk in the freedom Christ has purchased. We pray for this son, that You would help him to lose weight safely and in a way that honors You. Give him wisdom, self control, and encouragement, guide him to good counsel and healthy habits, and let his strength be renewed day by day. Heal his heart from all past hurts, bind up his wounds, remove bitterness and fear, and fill him with Your love and peace. Help both mother and son to grow in faith, to read Your Word, to pray, and to trust You more deeply. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray daily in Jesus name, to speak Scripture over your home, to fellowship with other believers, and to seek wise medical and pastoral counsel for your son's health journey as God leads you into wholeness.

We join you in bringing this burden before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to work true deliverance and healing according to His mercy.

Scripture declares that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, that the blessing might come to those who are in Him. There is no curse that can stand against those who are sheltered in His blood. As it was preached of old, our deliverance from the curse is not by a moral change in us but by a redemptive work for us, Christ bearing in our place what we could never bear. If you are in Christ, you need not fear the whisper that God's ear is shut, for He has found a ransom and has brought His people forth by His own outstretched arm.

We pray that every chain and every word spoken against you and your son would be broken in the name of Jesus, and that you both would rest in the peace of knowing that He who was made sin for us is also our life and our protection. May the Lord establish you in His love and keep you from all evil.

We also lift up your son before the Great Physician. We ask the Lord to grant him healing from past hurts, for He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and even the least things about Christ are full of healing virtue, like leaves of the tree of life for the healing of the nations. May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon him with healing in His wings, bringing wholeness to body, mind and spirit. For his physical health, we pray for wisdom and grace to lose weight safely, for strength to steward the body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and for daily help to walk in healthy ways that honor the Lord and bring renewed strength.

May the Lord grant you both to know that deliverance is of free grace only, and that He who has begun a good work will perfect it. Cast your griefs upon Him who hears, and find comfort in His faithful keeping.

We have received your request and we join you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving, for every prayer ought to be accompanied with thanksgiving.

We pray for you and for your son that every curse spoken against you would come to nothing. Scripture teaches that cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things written in the law, and that Christ has redeemed us from that curse by becoming a curse for us, so that those who are in Him are blessed and not cursed. There is no curse that can stand against those who belong to Christ. We ask the Lord to deliver you both from all fear of curses, to guard your hearts and homes, and to keep your mouths pure, not returning curse for curse but blessing those who have opposed you, forgiving as you have been forgiven, so that your prayers may be offered with a clean conscience.

We also bring your son before the Lord concerning his health. We pray that God would grant him wisdom and strength to care for his body safely and steadily, which is a gift from God. We ask for self control and fortitude, for sound guidance from those who can help him, and for a careful and continual attention to what is good and wholesome, not for display but for health and for the ability to serve the Lord with vigor. May he be delivered not only from excess but also helped to cultivate the other parts of virtue that sustain a healthy life.

We pray too for healing from past hurts. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. We ask Him to bring deep healing, to teach meekness and mercy, to help in forgiving and in finding peace, and to replace bitterness with joy. As you hear the word of God continually and keep it in mind, may it choke out the thorns of care and sorrow and bring forth fruit.

We ask all this through Jesus Christ alone, our only Savior, trusting not in our own merit but in His mercy. May the Lord grant you deliverance, health, and wholeness, and keep you in His grace.

Thank you for sharing this burden and allowing me to pray with you. I join you in asking the Lord for deliverance, for health, and for healing of past wounds.

In Scripture the curses you are concerned about are shown very clearly. From Mount Ebal the Levites pronounced curses upon those who would break God's covenant, and the people in the valley answered Amen to each one, acknowledging that the judgment was right. As Moses continued into Deuteronomy 28, he set before them the condition, if you will diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God to keep His commandments, then blessing will come, but if you do not obey His voice, then these curses will pursue and overtake you. The long list of curses is there to show how serious it is to turn away from God and to walk in disobedience.

The good news of the gospel is that Jesus has borne what we could not bear ourselves. Isaiah says He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, and Matthew applies that to physical sickness as well as to sin, when Jesus healed every disease among the people. On the cross Christ became a curse for us to redeem us from the curse of the law, and He blots out our past so that our sins are wiped away and times of refreshing come from His presence. Freedom is not found in a formula, but in trusting Christ, turning from sin, and walking in obedience to His voice by faith.

So I pray for you and for your son that any power of sin and darkness would be broken in Jesus' name, that you both would be kept close to Christ, and that you would know the peace of being forgiven and received as His children. May the Lord guard your home and help you to walk in the light of His Word.

For your son I also pray for his physical health. The Lord cares about our bodies, which He created. Healing in the Bible is shown in different ways. Sometimes Jesus healed instantly with a word, sometimes He touched someone, sometimes the healing was gradual and unfolded over time, and sometimes as with Paul's thorn in the flesh the Lord chose not to remove the affliction but to give grace to endure it. To presume that God must heal in the same way every time is not scriptural, but to believe that He does heal, and that even the natural processes of restoration in our bodies are from Him, is true. Every healing process is divine because God made the body to heal.

I pray that God will give your son wisdom, strength and self control to lose weight in a safe and steady way, that He will guide any doctors or counselors who help him, and that He will establish healthy habits that last. I pray for protection over his body and for patience in the process, trusting that God can work both instantly and gradually according to His perfect will.

For the hurts of the past, I pray the Lord will do a deep healing in his heart and in yours. The deepest hurts often come from those we have trusted most, when words that seemed smooth cover a heart of conflict. That kind of wound can leave scars. Jesus is the one who heals those scars. He not only forgives sin but heals the memories and emotions that remain. I pray He will blot out the condemnation of the past, lift guilt, and bring refreshing and wholeness, so that what once brought pain is replaced by His comfort and hope.

May the Lord give you both faith to keep looking to Him, to obey His voice, and to rest in His love which is the more excellent way. I ask that He will pour out His grace upon you, bring deliverance, health and inner healing in the way He knows is best, and draw you both into closer fellowship with Himself.
