Deliverance

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up and her son before the Lord. Father God, we know that Your Word declares in Galatians 3:13-14, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,' that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." Lord, we stand on this truth and declare that any curses, whether spoken, inherited, or brought about by the enemy, are broken in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! The blood of Jesus has already paid the price for freedom, and we rebuke every assignment of darkness against this family. Every chain is shattered, every curse is nullified, and every plan of the enemy is dismantled by the power of the cross. We speak life, blessing, and protection over and her son, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Father, we lift up ’s son to You, asking for Your healing touch over his body and soul. We pray for safe and healthy weight loss, Lord, that it would not come through harmful means but through Your wisdom and guidance. Your Word says in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." We ask that You would renew his strength, regulate his metabolism, and give him discipline and self-control, which are fruits of Your Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Help him to honor his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and to seek You for wisdom in his health journey.

We also bring before You the past hurts that weigh on his heart. Jesus, You came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We ask that You would heal every wound, every memory of pain, and every lie the enemy has whispered into his mind. Replace those lies with Your truth, truth that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that You have plans for his welfare and not for evil (Jeremiah 29:11), and that You are close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Let him know, Lord, that his identity is found in You alone, not in the words or actions of others. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and let him walk in the freedom that Christ died to give him.

Father, we also want to gently address the foundation of this prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If or her son do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. Let them experience the love and forgiveness that comes through faith in Christ. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). We pray that they would surrender their lives to You, receive Your salvation, and walk in the fullness of Your Spirit.

Lord, we ask that You would surround this family with godly community, believers who will speak life, pray with them, and encourage them in their walk with You. Let them experience the joy of Your presence and the peace that comes from trusting in You. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that they will walk in the victory that is already theirs through Christ Jesus.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray and declare these things. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden with us. We can hear the deep love and concern behind your words, you want your son whole, free from every spiritual weight, and you’re longing for your own safety too. That ache for deliverance and healing is something we take seriously, and we’re honored to stand with you in prayer.

When we sense persistent spiritual opposition, we’ve found it helpful not to battle alone. You might consider asking two or three mature, trusted believers from your church to pray with you specifically. Simply sitting together and, in Jesus’ name, renouncing any curse or darkness, can bring a deep sense of release and peace. If your church has a prayer team or a pastor experienced in this area, reach out to them, the enemy’s grip weakens when we bring things into the light together.

For your son’s weight and the hurts he carries from his past, we also encourage practical care alongside prayer. Safe weight loss usually starts with a doctor’s guidance, and deep emotional wounds often heal best when a compassionate Christian counselor helps him gently revisit those memories without shame. God uses both prayer and wise, skilled people to restore us.

You don’t have to carry this alone, and you are not responsible for fixing everything. You’re simply entrusting your son, and yourself, to the One who loves you both beyond measure.

Jesus, we lift up this parent and son right now. We ask for a shield of protection around them and that every curse or darkness sent against them be broken in Your name. We pray for this young man: give him wisdom to pursue health in a way that honors You, and bring deep, lasting healing to every tender place in his heart. Surround them both with steady, godly support and fill their home with Your peace. Amen.

Let every curse spoken against you and your son be ended now, for there is no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, and the curse of the law has been borne away by Him who was made a curse for us. The prisoner was ready to be executed, but there came to him undeserved deliverance from all punishment, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. So stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made you free, and let no fear of ancestral malediction or whispered malice trouble your spirit, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

For your son, cry mightily to the Sun of Righteousness to rise with healing in His wings. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, the least things about Christ are full of healing virtue, and He can safely bring his body into a right stewardship, shedding what is harmful, and nourishing what is strong. Pardon and healing are one gift from the same pierced hand. Past hurts must be laid upon the great Burden-bearer; you shall not remember the reproach of your youth any more, for the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity. The joy of pardon makes us ignore the sorrow of the past.

You are safe under the shadow of the Almighty; He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall trust. Every trial works for good, they are dealt in weight and measure, not in anger, but from His dear covenant love. Be content to bear the slander of the accuser, and remember that loss and cross shall be ruled to make the end which God has promised. He will bring you forth with silver and gold, and not a hoof shall be left behind. Declare then, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” And do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said it: “I have found a ransom.”

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The cry for deliverance from curses is heard, but understand that no curse can cling to a soul anchored in Christ. You ask that curses be ended: they are ended already for the one who despises the world and clings to the Cross. For what is a curse but a shadow? If you suffer wrong and remain thankful, you transform the loss into gain. The devil meant it for harm, but God turns it to your benefit, giving you a reward greater than if you had willingly cast away all possessions. So do not fear words spoken against you; fear only the sins that would separate you from God.

Regarding your son’s weight and past hurts: do not fix your hope on the body alone. The flesh is not to blame for its cravings, but the soul that pampers it. To quiet the body’s clamor, first heal the soul’s wounds. The continual hearing of God’s word has power to wither the root of every disordered desire. That gnawing hunger for comfort is not a true desire but a wretched bondage. Why do you store up care for the body that perishes? Lay up treasure in heaven, and you will find the soul’s peace that no earthly food can supply. Let him learn to hunger for righteousness, and the Lord will grant him both healing and the strength to master his flesh without bitterness.

Above all, trust that Christ loses none that the Father has given Him, unless they willfully depart. Your son’s healing is not in the vanishing of a curse, but in turning to the Physician of souls. If he suffers from past afflictions, let him not murmur, but give thanks. This is the mark of one who has truly despised riches and comfort: to bear loss and injustice with gratitude. Then the enemy’s assault becomes your crown, and the scales of sorrow will drop from his heart, even as the body finds its proper balance. Seek first the kingdom, and all else, even health, shall be added.
