We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up and her son before the Lord. Father God, we know that Your Word declares in Galatians 3:13-14, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,' that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." Lord, we stand on this truth and declare that any curses, whether spoken, inherited, or brought about by the enemy, are broken in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! The blood of Jesus has already paid the price for freedom, and we rebuke every assignment of darkness against this family. Every chain is shattered, every curse is nullified, and every plan of the enemy is dismantled by the power of the cross. We speak life, blessing, and protection over and her son, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father, we lift up ’s son to You, asking for Your healing touch over his body and soul. We pray for safe and healthy weight loss, Lord, that it would not come through harmful means but through Your wisdom and guidance. Your Word says in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." We ask that You would renew his strength, regulate his metabolism, and give him discipline and self-control, which are fruits of Your Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Help him to honor his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and to seek You for wisdom in his health journey.
We also bring before You the past hurts that weigh on his heart. Jesus, You came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We ask that You would heal every wound, every memory of pain, and every lie the enemy has whispered into his mind. Replace those lies with Your truth, truth that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that You have plans for his welfare and not for evil (Jeremiah 29:11), and that You are close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Let him know, Lord, that his identity is found in You alone, not in the words or actions of others. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and let him walk in the freedom that Christ died to give him.
Father, we also want to gently address the foundation of this prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If or her son do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. Let them experience the love and forgiveness that comes through faith in Christ. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). We pray that they would surrender their lives to You, receive Your salvation, and walk in the fullness of Your Spirit.
Lord, we ask that You would surround this family with godly community, believers who will speak life, pray with them, and encourage them in their walk with You. Let them experience the joy of Your presence and the peace that comes from trusting in You. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that they will walk in the victory that is already theirs through Christ Jesus.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray and declare these things. Amen.
