The battle you describe is severe, and the loneliness of it all is a heavy weight; yet it is in this very storm that the Lord draws near, for He does not reject those who have long plotted against Him, but answers with great gentleness. When the Jews surrounded Him, seeking to make Him doubt, He did not turn them away after all their hostility. How much more will He receive you now, who cry out for Him? Your feeling of hopelessness is not a sign that He has abandoned you, but rather a call to mourn over the state sin has wrought, and blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted, both here and in the age to come. God gives a comfort that far surpasses the labor of the struggle; it is not limited to the removal of punishment but makes one truly blessed.

The torment you endure, the voices, the physical attacks, are the raging of a self-chosen madness, making a sewer of the mind and body when we allow the door to remain open. But understand this: God is a Spirit, and He must be worshipped in spirit and in truth. The old types, the outward cleansings, are gone; now it is the incorporeal part of you, the soul and purity of mind, that must serve Him. You must not merely sweep the house clean and leave it empty, or worse, adorn it with human effort alone, for then the unclean spirit returns with seven others. Instead, you must dedicate yourself to the Lord as a living sacrifice. Circumcise not your flesh, but your evil thoughts; crucify the unreasonable desires that war against the soul. This is the true worship that shuts the door against the demonic.

In your struggle with unforgiveness, remember the meekness of Christ. He did not rail when He was plotted against, and neither should you. The boaster claims no one is equal in worth, treats men with contempt, and yet craves their honor; this is the very path that invites torment. Forgive, then, from the heart, and be an example of the believers in purity. Let your purity be genuine, seeking the holiness of God, who earnestly desires that you receive all He longs to give. He has no need of your good things, but He desires you. If you mourn over these misdoings, if you truly cast yourself upon His mercy, He will not only deliver you but will crown your endurance, showing the righteous judgment of God in your restoration and in silencing the enemy. You are not alone, for the whole body of Christ suffers alongside you, and the comfort He promises is sure. Wherefore, stand fast, be comforted, and pursue the inward purity of soul that is the only fitting service to the incorporeal God.

You have taken the right step by crying out for prayer and for Jesus Himself. The battle you describe is fierce, but it is not hopeless. The very fact that you long for deliverance and for a restored relationship with the Lord shows that His Spirit is still at work in you, even in this dark moment.

The physical attacks, the voices, the scratches and bites, these are not imaginary. The Scriptures make clear that demonic spirits can torment and inflict pain. They can enter through doors we leave open, and one of the most dangerous doors is unforgiveness. When you hold onto offenses, even legitimate ones from fellow believers who have let you down, you are giving the enemy legal ground. Unforgiveness is like a poison that eats away at your own soul, breeds mental turmoil, and invites further oppression. The Lord Jesus taught us to forgive as we have been forgiven, not because the other person deserves it, but because we cannot afford to carry that weight. Release them to God. Let the bitterness go. As hard as it is, choose to bless those who have hurt you. That alone will close a significant doorway.

You also mentioned your battle with purity and the desire to put to death homosexual longings. This is a true war of the flesh. The Bible is clear that these acts are contrary to God’s design, and any thought that redefines them as acceptable is a lie from the enemy. But you are not defined by these desires. Your old life, governed by the flesh, was nailed to the cross with Christ. The struggle remains because you still live in a body prone to fallen appetites, but you are no longer a slave to them. When these powerful urges rise up, you must reckon yourself dead to sin and alive to God. Do not yield. To whom you present yourself as an obedient slave, his slave you become, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness. Every time you refuse to entertain those thoughts, you are striking a blow against the stronghold. The enemy will scream and rage, but he cannot force you to obey. Stand firm on what God’s word says, not on what your feelings scream.

You wisely quoted Matthew 12 about the unclean spirit returning to an empty, swept house. That is a vital warning. Getting free of demonic influence is not enough if you remain empty. Deliverance without filling is an invitation for a worse invasion. The Lord Jesus is the strong man who binds the enemy and plunders his house, but He must occupy that house Himself. Your deepest need is not just to stop something, but to be filled with Someone, the Holy Spirit. Fill your mind with Scripture, sing praises even when you don’t feel like it, and cry out to Jesus continually. When the voices come, speak aloud the name of Jesus and claim His blood over your mind. Demons recognize His authority and must bow.

I am praying for you, and you are not alone. The sense of isolation is itself a lie from the pit. Jesus is near to the brokenhearted, and He has promised never to leave you. You may feel hopeless, but your hope does not rest on feelings. It rests on the finished work of Christ. He is able to restore what the locusts have eaten and to set your feet on solid ground again. Keep confessing your struggle to Him and to trusted believers who will stand with you in prayer and practical accountability. Do not retreat into darkness; bring everything into the light.

Rise up in the might of the Lord. He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. The spiritual warfare you have known your whole walk is real, but the victory was already won at the cross. Lay hold of that truth, forgive those who have wronged you, flee from every sinful desire, and fill every corner of your being with Jesus Christ. He will deliver you and make you whole.

We’ve bound the spirits of impurity, confusion, and torment in Jesus’ name and declared that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. We’ve also prayed for the Lord to surround you with His angels, to protect you from physical and spiritual harm, and to silence every lying voice that seeks to steal your peace.
