Dear God I thank you for giving this opportunity to meet nd interact with my fellow worshipers Am here to confess to you my Savior for I have sinned under the sin and I came to you seeking for forgiveness nd help to my fellow worshipers for am struggling with pornography and musterbation...I really want to stop sinning for it believe this is the only obstacle standing in my way to living a righteous nd Godly life

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this battle, lifting you up before the throne of grace. Your honesty and desire to turn away from sin are the first steps toward freedom, and we rejoice that the Holy Spirit is at work in your heart. The struggle with pornography and masturbation is not unique, but it is a serious sin that defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) and distorts God’s holy design for sexuality. We must address this with urgency, for it grieves the heart of God and hinders your walk with Him.

First, we rebuke the spirit of lust and addiction in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that he has no authority over you. You are a child of God, bought with the precious blood of Christ, and called to live in purity and holiness. The Word of God is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). This sin is not just a personal struggle, it is an assault on your identity in Christ and your calling to reflect His holiness.

We also want to gently remind you that salvation is found in no other name but Jesus Christ. It is only through His sacrifice on the cross that we can be forgiven and set free. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of your deliverance and victory. Without Christ, we are powerless against sin, but through Him, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and set free. We lift up our brother who is struggling with the chains of pornography and masturbation. Lord, we thank You that he has come to You with a repentant heart, and we ask that You would meet him in this moment of need. Forgive him, Father, for every time he has given in to temptation and defiled the temple of the Holy Spirit. Cleanse him by the blood of Jesus and renew a right spirit within him.

We rebuke the spirit of lust and addiction that has sought to enslave him. In the name of Jesus, we break every chain and declare that he is no longer a slave to sin but a son of God, called to live in freedom. Strengthen him, Lord, with the power of Your Holy Spirit to resist temptation and flee from every appearance of evil. Surround him with godly accountability and fellowship, that he may not walk this path alone.

Father, we ask that You would fill him with a hunger and thirst for righteousness. Replace the lies of the enemy with the truth of Your Word. Remind him daily of his identity in Christ, that he is holy, blameless, and redeemed. Give him the courage to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to guard his heart and mind with the armor of God.

Lord, we also pray for a hedge of protection around him. Close every door that the enemy has used to gain access to his life. Restore what has been stolen and heal every wound that has made him vulnerable to this sin. Fill him with Your peace, joy, and purpose, that he may walk in the fullness of life You have called him to.

We thank You, Father, that Your grace is sufficient and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We declare that victory is already won through the cross, and we stand on Your promise that sin shall not have dominion over him, for he is under grace (Romans 6:14). May he rise up in the authority of Jesus Christ and walk in the freedom You have purchased for him.

Brother, we want to encourage you with the truth that you are not alone in this battle. The enemy would love for you to believe that you are too far gone or that this sin is too powerful to overcome, but that is a lie. The Word of God says, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). You can overcome this, but you must be intentional.

Here are some practical steps to help you walk in freedom:

1. Accountability: Find a trusted, godly brother in Christ who can walk with you in this journey. Confess your struggles to him and ask him to pray for you and hold you accountable. James 5:16 says, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed."

2. Flee Temptation: If you know certain environments, websites, or even relationships trigger this sin, remove yourself from them immediately. Jesus said, "If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you" (Matthew 5:29). This is not about literal self-harm but about radical action to protect your soul.

3. Renew Your Mind: Fill your mind with Scripture. Memorize verses that speak to God’s design for purity, such as 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5: "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God." Meditate on these truths daily.

4. Prayer and Fasting: Dedicate time to seek God in prayer and fasting. Fasting is a powerful way to break the hold of sin and draw closer to God. Jesus said, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting" (Mark 9:29).

5. Worship and Fellowship: Do not isolate yourself. Stay connected to a body of believers who can encourage you and speak life into you. Worship is a powerful weapon against the enemy, and fellowship reminds you that you are part of God’s family.

6. Replace the Habit: When temptation comes, replace the sinful behavior with something godly. Pray, read Scripture, call your accountability partner, or engage in a hobby that honors God. The enemy wants to fill your mind with darkness, but you must fill it with light.

Remember, this is a battle, but it is one you do not fight alone. The Lord is your strength, your shield, and your deliverer. He has already won the victory, and He is calling you to walk in it. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).

We stand with you, brother, and we believe that God is going to do a mighty work in your life. Keep pressing into Him, and do not give up. Your freedom is coming!

That gap between your desire for righteousness and your experience can breed not just guilt but the quiet despair that this is the one thing that will forever separate you from the life you long for. It won't. The very fact that you're here, naming it, reaching out, is not a sign that you're failing, it's a sign that the Spirit is still at work in you, keeping you restless until you're free.

One of the hardest traps in this struggle is fighting it alone. Shame whispers that no one can know, that you're the only one in your circle dealing with this. That isolation actually fuels the cycle more than most of us realize. A practical step, if you haven't taken it yet, is to find one trustworthy, mature brother in Christ and tell him what you told us, no euphemisms, just the truth. Not for him to fix you, but so that darkness loses its power in the light. Many men who have walked out of this bondage will tell you that accountability wasn't an add-on to their prayer life; it was the channel God used to break patterns that prayer alone, in isolation, had not broken. That might feel terrifying, but it's worth it.

We're praying with you now: Father, thank you that we don't come to you cleaning ourselves up first. You already know the depth of the struggle, and you meet us in it. Break the power of shame that keeps our brother hiding. Give him courage to take one concrete step toward the light this week, a conversation, a confession to someone safe. Where dopamine and habit have built ruts in his brain that feel impossible to escape, we ask you to rewire what feels automatic. Let him taste genuine freedom, not just white-knuckled restraint. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

The groan within your spirit against this defiling sin proves that you are not given over to death. Unbroken prosperity in wickedness is the mark of the abandoned soul, but your pangs of conscience and your hatred of the chains that bind you are the blessed work of the Holy Spirit. He who has led you to cry for deliverance will not mock your tears. The Lord has chastened you sorely, yet He has not delivered you over to the death of impenitence. Take heart; the very bitterness you taste is the medicine of grace.

You have rightly traced this obstacle to the fountain of your misery. Pornography and self-pollution are not mere stumbles; they forge a second nature, a servile spirit that makes the heart say, “I am a slave and cannot break free.” But I charge you to hear this: deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from its guilt. None leap from this pit by the strength of their own resolves. If ever the prisoner of sin comes forth, the Lord Himself brings him forth. Never pamper the viper by tenderness to your own flesh. Every arrow of conviction that pierces you now is an arrow of the Lord's deliverance; do not blunt its edge by making excuses, but shoot it again and again against your darling sin until it lies slain at your feet.

Yet you must not look for power before you have accepted pardon. The atoning blood is the only door to freedom. Jesus Christ was made sin for you, though He knew no sin, and on the tree He bore what you deserve. The Father says, “I have found a ransom.” If you will but trust that ransom, even now, your sin is fully put away. You need no fresh feeling of strength; you need a simple, present glance of faith upon the Crucified One. Throw yourself wholly upon that sacrifice, and the guilt that now accuses you will be drowned forever in a sea of redeeming love. Then, being freely forgiven, your grateful heart will cry, “I will not go on in this sin.” That holy hatred of defilement is the secret of your dying to its power.

The arrows Satan shoots into your memory after secret sin are cruel and common. He reminds you of your vileness to drive you to despair. But do not say, “God’s ear is shut.” When you have made confession of sin, has He not restored you before? Has He not lifted the light of His countenance upon you even after grievous falls? He is the same God still. Go to Him at once with your broken confession, and then walk forth from the pit as one who is no longer a willing subject of sin. You are not called to a dreary, fearful bondage; you are called to run in the statutes of the Lord, for Christ’s yoke is easy and His burden is light. True chastisement is the Father’s cure, not the judge’s punishment; it is the hand that smites sin while sparing the sinner, teaching you to loathe what once you loved.

Therefore, let your conduct after this trouble be a bold declaration of praise. “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” If God brings you out, as surely He will if you look only to Christ, then never keep silent about His mercy. A poor enslaved, sin-sick soul whom He has cleansed and freed becomes a trophy of grace, a living witness that the blood of Jesus conquers the foulest chains. Only remember that the path of deliverance is by the bow of holy violence against sin. Tenderness to the flesh will check all growth in grace. Strike the arrow through the window of lust, and never stay your hand from the sacred fight. Your Saviour has died for sin that you might die to sin; live now in that death, and the power of darkness shall not prevail against you.

You confess a sin that defiles the temple of God, and you rightly call it an obstacle to righteousness. This is no small matter. The indulgence of the eyes and the flesh is a fire that consumes the soul, and you must not trifle with it. Remember your latter end. Remember the judgment. Let the thought of hell be ever before you, not to drive you to despair, but to sharpen your hatred of the sin. A soul that is anxious about giving account cannot readily fall into such filth. Fear is a medicine, and though it seems bitter, it purifies the heart more than any earthly fire. So do not silence that dread, but let it press you toward repentance.

You say you wish to stop, yet your conscience testifies that the passion clings to you and afflicts you. This is the very struggle of which the Apostle speaks, the law of sin warring against the mind. The law reveals the evil, it does not create it. Your own lust conceives and gives birth to sin. But do not think that the war is hopeless because you have stumbled. The Lord delivered Paul from the lion’s mouth, and He will deliver you from every evil work if you truly cry out to Him. He permits you to feel the violence of the temptation so that you may learn to despise the fleeting pleasure and gain a greater victory than if you had never been tempted at all. The deliverance from the sin itself, the grace to resist unto blood, this is a far greater preservation than simply to be spared the trial.

But you must act. Make no provision for the flesh. Cut off the occasions that lead you into the snare. Guard your eyes, for through them death enters. Most of all, purify your heart. Out of the heart come evil thoughts, and to be pure of these is true holiness. Strive to be an example of the believers in word, in conduct, in faith, in purity. Be yourself a living law, a pattern of self-control, so that others may see your good works and glorify God. When the temptation rises, recall that many were tortured and would not accept any deliverance that came at the cost of sinning, because they looked for a better resurrection. Shall you then for a moment of shameful pleasure forfeit the crown? Flee to the Lord in prayer the very instant the thought arises, and do not entertain it even for a breath. He is faithful, and He will not suffer you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape. Stand fast, and let the love of Christ constrain you to live no longer for yourself, but for Him who died for you.

You’ve done what sin hates most, you brought it into the light. That in itself is a sign of God’s grace already at work in you. The very fact that you are grieved, that you desire freedom and not permission, shows that you are not abandoned to this struggle. The Holy Spirit is not letting you get away with it, and that is a mercy. So do not shrink back now from the full deliverance Christ has already purchased.

You mentioned feeling that this is the one obstacle standing between you and a Godly life. But be careful not to reduce the battle to a single behavior, as if once you conquer this, the rest of your righteousness will flow effortlessly. The root runs deeper. The same fallen nature that produces these acts would simply find another expression unless it is dealt with at its source, and that is exactly what the cross has done. Your old man was crucified with Christ, so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that you should no longer be a slave to sin. Notice it does not say you will never feel its pull, but that you are not its slave. The dominion is broken.

You have been trying not to sin, and that is right. But the law’s role is only to expose what sin is, it cannot give you the strength to overcome. You know now, in a way you may not have before, that even the lustful desire itself, even the act nurtured in secret, is sin. The law said, “You shall not covet,” and suddenly you discovered how deep those desires run. That revelation is painful, but it is meant to drive you out of yourself and into grace. Here is the promise you need to stake your life on: sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. This does not mean sin disappears; it means its mastery is broken. You do not have to yield. You have been set free to offer your body to God instead.

The pattern you are caught in is not new. Pornography opens a door that leads to inflamed passions, and those passions push toward expression. It is a downward spiral, a kind of bondage that mimics the enslavement Israel knew in Egypt. But just as God delivered them through the sea, water baptism pictures your own death to the old life and resurrection to a new one. You died with Christ. A dead man cannot be tempted. That is not a poetic metaphor, it is a legal reality in the Spirit. You have the right, by faith, to count yourself dead indeed to sin and alive to God. Start speaking that over yourself instead of rehearsing your failure.

When you do fall, do not hide. The blood of Jesus does not merely cover sin for a season; it puts it away. Every sin you have committed, every single one, was atoned for at the cross. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Confess it immediately, receive the cleansing, and then get up and offer your members again as instruments of righteousness. You are not trying to earn forgiveness; you are walking in it. The only sin that can eternally condemn is the rejection of the light He has given. And you have not rejected Him.

So do not live as though this struggle defines you. You are not a struggling struggler trying to get free; you are a free child of God learning to walk in what is already true. The desire to stop is good, but desire alone is not enough. Purposefully yield your eyes, your mind, your hands to God every morning. When the temptation comes, you have a choice: will you yield to sin and become its servant in that moment, or will you yield to God and prove that His grace is sufficient? One path leads to deeper bondage; the other to life and peace. The Spirit in you is stronger than the pull of the flesh.

You are not alone in this fight, and you are not beyond healing. But take it seriously. Do not toy with what you know feeds the fire. Flee from it, and run to your Deliverer. He has already broken the chains. Now walk out of the cell.
