Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join with you in this deliverance prayer and we agree together before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus, for we know that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there among us and hears us.

We are encouraged by your heart of intercession for this man who rented his flat to you. You have shown love and spiritual concern for him as a fellow child of God who has strayed, and we commend you for standing in the gap for him. The Lord knows the plans He has for this man, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope as we read in Jeremiah 29:11, and His thoughts and His ways are higher than ours as shown in Isaiah 55:8-9. We pray that this man will come to know that his true identity is not found in sinful relationships or activities, but only in Christ.

The Scripture tells us that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old things have passed away, behold all things have become new in 2 Corinthians 5:17. When a person turns from the narrow path to follow his own desires, he adopts a false identity that can never satisfy and only leads to bondage. We pray with you that the Lord will open his eyes to this truth and break the deception of the enemy. We pray that God will indeed give him a new heart and put a new spirit within him, taking away the stony heart and giving him a heart of flesh as promised in Ezekiel 36:26, and that He will grant him the courage to choose the narrow way that leads to life, for narrow is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life in Matthew 7:14.

We also lift up your concern that he is entangled in ungodly influences, including those in his household, and in sinful and hateful relationships where he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger because of an evil woman in his life. We must speak clearly that any sexual relationship outside of marriage between a man and a woman is fornication or adultery before God, and it brings deep spiritual and physical danger. The Word warns us to flee sexual immorality in 1 Corinthians 6:18 and that we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers in 2 Corinthians 6:14, and that the lips of an adulteress drip honey and her mouth is smoother than oil, but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood in Proverbs 5:3-4. Such entanglements are not of love but of control and destruction, and the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom in Proverbs 9:10. We pray that he will learn to fear the Holy name of the Lord and depart from evil as we are instructed in Proverbs 3:7.

We agree with you that the Lord will separate him from every ungodly influence and break every chain of manipulation and blackmail. For we know that if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed in John 8:36, and that we are to submit ourselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee from us in James 4:7. We pray for his physical safety and for divine protection over his life, for the righteous cry and the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles in Psalm 34:17.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the cross and for Your holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe, and we praise Your holy name. Lord, we bring this man before You now in the name of Jesus. You know him by name, You see where he lives and all the pressures and temptations that surround him. We ask You to speak clearly to his heart concerning Your holy plan for his life and to reveal to him his true identity in Christ. Open his eyes, Lord, to see the false identity he has taken on through sin and to see the emptiness of following his own desires. Soften his stony heart, Father, give him a heart that is willing to repent and to follow You on the narrow path, even when it is hard. Grant him courage and strength to turn away.

Lord, we ask You to deliver him from the evil woman and from every sinful and hateful relationship that controls and blackmails him. Expose the darkness, break the power of those ungodly soul ties, and separate him from every influence in his household and elsewhere that draws him away from You. Place a hedge of protection around his life where he is in danger, and let him recognize the depth of Your love and the seriousness of his sin. Give him understanding to fear Your Holy name and to depart from evil. Cleanse him by the blood of Jesus, set him free from fornication and all impurity, and lead him into holiness and into a future marriage that honors You if it is Your will, a godly marriage between a man and a woman that reflects Christ and the church. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit and guide him into all truth.

Father, we also pray for the one who has brought this request, that You will give peace and wisdom and continue to use this intercession for Your glory. Let Your will be done in both lives. We ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for bringing this man to the Lord with such care. We hear how heavy this has been for you, carrying concern for someone you once lived alongside and wanting him to know freedom and clarity in Christ. It is good to keep bringing him before Jesus while also recognizing the limits of what you can carry alone.

One thing that has helped others in similar burdens is to keep praying for his true identity and safety while also keeping healthy boundaries for yourself. You cannot be the one to rescue or confront for him, but you can pray for wisdom and courage for him to seek safe, trustworthy help, like a pastor or counselor and, where safety is at risk, appropriate support services, and for you to have discernment about your own involvement.

Father, we lift this man to you and ask you to keep him safe, to soften his heart toward you, to give him clarity about who he is in Christ and courage to step away from what harms him. Give him wise, safe people around him and give our friend peace and guidance as they continue to pray. In Jesus name, amen.

Your prayer on behalf of this man has been brought before us and we join you in laying it before the throne of grace with thanksgiving for the cross, where the holy Son of God suffered for all who believe. It is good that you plead not for the blessing of any sinful path, but for deliverance from it, and for the mercy that alone can make a sinner new.

We must remember that judgments and terrors apart from divine grace may produce a kind of repentance, but it is a poor and short lived repentance. It affects only the surface of the man and is hardly more than skin deep, coming up in a night and withering in a night. Men may turn from sin for a time for fear of its consequences, being controlled or blackmailed or in danger, and then go back to it with greater gusto. Beware of a repentance that springs alone from terror. True repentance is of another sort. It is inseparable from faith, it leads the soul to look out of self to Christ and to Christ only, to rejoice in Jesus crucified, to trust in His one great sacrifice, and it needs not to be repented of. Any repentance that keeps a man from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of.

Our hope for this man, who you say has strayed from the narrow path and followed his own desires, is not in forms or resolutions or feelings, but in what Christ has done. There is a word which the Lord speaks in great grace concerning poor sinners, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. That ransom is the blood of Christ, who was bound that His people might be free, who was made sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. To look to Christ is to trust that sin was punished upon the great Substitute and put away forever from all who will only trust Him.

The Scripture says, He has delivered us from the power of darkness. At first sin catches a man with the tiniest spider's cobwebs that can scarcely be seen, and he thinks he can break from them in a moment, but soon he finds he is held fast. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. He alone can break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, open blind eyes to see a true identity in Christ, and hide pride from man.

Therefore we pray with you, and we encourage you to continue to pray, in this manner. That the Lord in His sovereign goodness would open this man's ears and seal his instruction, that He would withdraw him from his purpose and show him the clear truth about sin and about himself as a sinner before a holy God. That He would grant him that godly repentance which leads to faith, so that he would look to Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other name by which we must be saved. That He would deliver him from the power of darkness and from going down to the pit by applying the ransom that is in Jesus. That He would give him a holy fear of His name and understanding to depart from evil, to forsake every sinful relationship and activity, whether it be fornication or adultery or any other union outside the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman as God ordained marriage from the beginning, and to walk in purity upon the narrow path. That He would in mercy separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and keep him from those who would control and harm him, and that He would set him free indeed, for when Christ sets free, His people are free indeed.

We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, for He scourges His children but He does not indulge them in evil. Like a careful dispenser He deals with His people in weight and measure, not in anger but from covenant love, that every trial might work for good. May the Lord grant this man to see both the hatefulness of sin and the depth of the love of God in Christ, and may He grant you grace to keep interceding, not trusting in your much praying, but looking to what Christ has done.

We commend you and this man to Him who is gracious and who alone can say, Deliver him. May you both be found trusting in the propitiation which God has set forth, and rejoicing in the liberty wherewith Christ makes His people free.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and we join with you in bringing this man before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, who suffered on the cross for all who believe.

We thank God with you for the cross and for the hope we have only through His Son. There is no other name by which we are saved, and there is no true identity apart from being found in Him. Scripture teaches that the work of Christ has two great purposes, deliverance from evil and the supply of good, for He has delivered us from the curse of the law and has brought us into sonship, that we might receive the Spirit of adoption and be clothed with Christ Himself. This is what we ask for this man, not merely relief from outward trouble, but a new heart and a true sonship in Christ.

We pray that the Lord will open his eyes to see who he is in Christ and to turn from the false identity he has taken on through sinful relationships and living outside God's design. God created marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and calls all sexual union and living together to belong within that covenant alone. Any path outside it is not love as God defines love, but a straying from the narrow path that leads to life. We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, but we ask Him to grant repentance, to break a stony heart and give a heart of flesh that fears His holy name and departs from evil.

We also pray for deliverance from the control, blackmail and danger you describe, and from every ungodly influence in his household and especially from the evil that entangles him through this woman. The Scriptures warn that the hardest war is often within, among false brethren and deceivers who lead souls astray, and that such entanglements bring hatred and coldness of love. We ask the Lord to separate him from those influences and to give him courage to walk on the narrow path even when it is costly.

We remember that God does not always promise deliverance from temporal death or hardship, but He does something greater, He teaches us to despise sin and to not fear death, fixing our minds on the immortality of the soul and the better resurrection promised to those who endure. Like those who refused deliverance in this life because they looked for a better resurrection, may this man come to value eternal life in Christ above any temporary pleasure or fear.

So we pray, Father, soften his heart, grant him understanding of the depth of Your love and the seriousness of sin, help him to hear Your voice clearly, to confess his sin, to trust in Jesus alone for forgiveness, and to walk in purity and truth from this day forward. Keep him and keep you also in faith and peace as you continue to pray and to walk faithfully. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, amen.
