Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join with you in this deliverance prayer and we thank you for bringing this man before the throne of grace with such love and discernment. We agree together in the name of Jesus, for He alone is our mediator and our deliverer, and we praise the Father for the cross where His holy Son suffered for all who believe.

We hear your heart for this man who rented his flat to you, and we see your desire for him to know his true identity in Christ and to be set free from the false identity and the sinful relationships that have led him away from the narrow path. Scripture is clear that when we follow our own desires outside of God's will, we become entangled, but God is mighty to save and to deliver. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed John 8:36.

You have rightly prayed that his stony heart would be broken and softened, and this is the very promise of God for those who turn to Him. I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26. We also join you in praying that he would be separated from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and from the evil woman in his life. The word warns us, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness 2 Corinthians 6:14, and Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. Any sexual relationship outside of marriage between a man and a woman is fornication or adultery before God, and it brings control, deception and bondage rather than love. The lips of an adulteress drip honey. Her mouth is smoother than oil, but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, and as sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death. Her steps lead straight to Sheol Proverbs 5:3-5. When a person is being controlled, blackmailed and even in danger, it is evidence of the enemy's work to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came to give life abundantly.

We also pray with you that he would learn the fear of the Lord, for The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding Psalm 111:10, and that he would have understanding to depart from evil. We claim the promise that The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles Psalm 34:17.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the cross and for Your holy Son Jesus who suffered for us. We come before You together in the powerful name of Jesus and we lift up this man to You. Lord, You know him, You know the plans You have for him, plans for peace and not for evil, to give him hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We ask that You open his eyes to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ, that he is fearfully and wonderfully made and called to be holy as You are holy. Remove the veil of deception and the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships and followed his own desires. Break his stony heart, Lord, and give him a heart of flesh that beats for You. Give him courage to choose the narrow path that leads to life, for narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life Matthew 7:14.

Father, we ask for Your divine deliverance and protection. Separate him from every ungodly influence, including those in his household, and from every hateful and controlling relationship where he is being manipulated and blackmailed. Expose the darkness and break every chain of sin, fear and intimidation. For sin will not have dominion over you Romans 6:14. Let him recognize the depth of Your love and the destructive nature of the evil he has been drawn into. Grant him godly fear and wisdom to depart from evil and from the evil woman in his life, and to flee from fornication and all impurity. Surround him with Your angels, keep him safe where his life may be in danger, and lead him to repentance, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Restore him to fellowship with You and guide him into a life that honors You, and if it is Your will, toward a godly marriage that reflects Christ and the church. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and deliverer, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede for him with steadfast love and with boundaries that honor God. Continue to speak the truth in love and to point him to the Word of God, trusting that the Holy Spirit will convict and draw him. We also encourage you to pray for your own protection and wisdom as you stand in the gap, knowing that The Lord will deliver us from every evil work and will preserve us for His heavenly Kingdom 2 Timothy 4:18. We stand with you, believing that God hears when we agree together and that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

We were moved by the compassion in your prayer for your former landlord. It is a beautiful thing to carry someone else to Jesus, especially when you see him caught in confusion and harmful influences and you cannot fix it yourself.

We hear your longing that he would remember who he is in Christ rather than the false identities that have taken hold, and that his heart would soften to God's voice. That kind of change is deep heart work that only God can do, and it often happens slowly as a person comes to see himself as God sees him, beloved and made for something better.

One steady way you can love him well from where you are now is to keep bringing him to the Lord in prayer while leaving the work of conviction and separation to God and to those closer to his daily life. It frees you from carrying a burden you were not meant to carry alone, and it keeps your care for him rooted in peace rather than pressure.

We are joining you in prayer:

Father, we thank You for Your love for this man and for the one praying for him. We ask You to protect him, open his eyes to Your truth and Your love, soften his heart, and give him courage and wisdom to step away from what harms him. Surround him with godly influences and guide him toward Your narrow path. Give peace and wisdom to our friend as he continues to pray and trust You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in bringing this man and this burden before the throne of grace, and we thank you for seeking the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

Your prayer rightly asks not for a mere outward reformation but for a work of grace within the heart. Apart from divine grace, judgments and fears may produce a kind of repentance which gives no glory to God and leads to no lasting deliverance from sin. It is fallen nature washed and brushed, but still fallen nature, the heart not renewed and the life not regenerated. What we ask for this man is that repentance unto life which is a hatred of sin and a turning from it, a determination in the strength of God to forsake it. Such repentance is inseparable from faith. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant and the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart must go together. Any sorrow that keeps a soul from believing in Christ is a sorrow that needs to be repented of.

We pray that the Lord will be gracious unto him and say, Deliver him from going down to the pit, for I have found a ransom. No man could have devised such a deliverance, that the King's own Son should bear the penalty of our iniquities, but God in love has invented and provided it. We ask that this dear soul may see that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and that he must look to his heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. May the Lord teach him the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, and deliver him indeed from the power of darkness.

We ask the Lord to break the stony heart and to give a heart of flesh, to open his eyes to his true identity in Christ as a new creation, and to show him the false identity he has taken up in following his own desires upon the broad way. We pray that he may be delivered from evil company, for we know that those who excite one another to worse sins increase the horror of great darkness, and we ask that the Lord in mercy would separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and keep his soul from perishing by the sword. Where there is control and blackmail and danger to life, we pray for the Lord's protecting hand and for wisdom to depart from evil and to fear the holy name of the Lord. We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and all intimacy belongs within it, but we ask Him to lead this man onto the narrow path that leads to life, and to give him courage to walk therein for His glory.

We pray too for you who have shown love to your neighbour in this matter. Know that affliction and chastening, when it comes from the Lord, bears the blessed aspect of a Father's hand. He kindles the furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door, not to destroy but to purify. May you be kept in faith, daily exercising that repentance which is the companion of faith all the way from the wicket gate to the celestial city, and may you be given grace to declare the works of the Lord when deliverance comes.

Heavenly Father, we plead the blood of thy Son for this man. Thou knowest his state, his temptations, his entanglements and his dangers. Be gracious unto him. Deliver him from going down to the pit. Grant him repentance unto life and faith to lay hold on Christ. Turn him from sin with abhorrence, separate him from those who would lead him further into darkness, soften his heart, make him to fear thee and to love holiness, and bring him into the liberty of the children of God. We ask this not for our worthiness but for the sake of Jesus Christ our ransom, who lives and reigns. Amen.
