Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for the cross and for the holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe and we praise His holy name with you. We agree together in the name of Jesus believing that He hears our prayers when we agree as You have said in Matthew 18:19 that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask it will be done for them by our Father who is in heaven. We lift up this man who rented his flat to you before God for we know the Lord knows the plans He has for him and His thoughts are far greater than ours as it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you says Yahweh thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you hope and a future.

We are encouraged by your discernment in this prayer for you have rightly asked for his eyes to be opened to his true identity in Christ and for his stony heart to be broken. The Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation the old things have passed away behold all things have become new and in Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and I will put a new spirit within you I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and I will give you a heart of flesh. We pray with you that he will see the false identity he adopted when he strayed from the narrow path and followed his own desires for Jesus said in Matthew 7:13-14 Enter in by the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many are those who enter in by it How narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life Few are those who find it. We also join you in praying that he will learn the fear of Yahweh which is the beginning of wisdom as taught in Proverbs 9:10 and that this holy fear will give him understanding to depart from evil.

We must also speak plainly about the sinful relationships and activities you mentioned for the Lord calls us to holiness. Sex before or outside of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman is fornication or adultery and is sin before God. The Scripture commands us in 1 Corinthians 6:18 to flee sexual immorality and warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that neither the sexually immoral nor adulterers will inherit the kingdom of God. We also see the danger of the ungodly influence you described as the evil woman in his life and we are reminded in Proverbs 5:3-5 that the lips of an adulteress drip honey and her mouth is smoother than oil but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood and sharp as a two edged sword Her feet go down to death Her steps lead straight to Sheol. We rebuke together any fornication adultery or controlling and hateful relationship that has ensnared him and we pray that he will be separated from every ungodly influence including those in his household for we are told in 2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity and in 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived Evil companionships corrupt good morals. Where there is control blackmail and danger to his life we know the enemy seeks to steal kill and destroy but Jesus came to set the captives free for in John 8:36 If therefore the Son makes you free you will be free indeed and in James 4:7 we are told Be subject therefore to God Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

We now pray together for his deliverance. Heavenly Father we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we thank You that You hear us. Lord You know this man and You love him as Your child. We ask You to open his eyes to the clear unmistakable truth of who he is in Christ and to show him the depth of Your love. Break his stony heart Lord and give him a soft heart that trembles at Your holy name. Grant him courage to turn from sin and to choose the narrow path that leads to life. Deliver him from every chain of sexual sin and from every ungodly soul tie. Separate him from ungodly influences and from the evil woman and any person who controls blackmails or endangers him. Expose every lie and every false identity and let him see these hateful relationships for what they are. Give him understanding to depart from evil and to walk in repentance and holiness. Wash him in the blood of Jesus and let him know in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Lead him into fellowship with believers who will strengthen him and guide him toward a godly marriage if it is Your will that honors You. We ask all these things in the powerful and only saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in intercession for him with love and truth. God is able to deliver and to restore and He desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance as written in 2 Peter 3:9. Keep praying that he will fully surrender to Christ and seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness as promised in Matthew 6:33. We join our faith with yours that the Lord will complete the good work He has begun and bring this man into freedom and into His holy plan for his life.

We were moved by your compassion for this man who once rented to you. You are carrying him to Jesus with real care, asking not for judgment but for his eyes to be opened and his heart to be softened, and we want to stand with you in that.

We noticed how you kept returning to his identity in Christ. That is so central. When a person begins to remember who he is before God, beloved and called to walk in wholeness, it becomes a steady reference point when other voices and pressures are loud and confusing. It does not change overnight, but that quiet remembering can give courage to step away from what harms him.

We know you are concerned for his safety where he feels controlled and even threatened. We will join you in praying for his protection and for wisdom for him to recognize what is harmful and to find safe help if he needs it. Continuing to lift him by name before the Lord, while keeping appropriate boundaries as his former tenant, is a faithful way to love him without trying to carry what only God can do.

Father, we bring this man before you in Jesus name. You know his life, his struggles, and the influences around him. Draw him close, soften his heart, give him clarity about who he is in you, and courage to turn from what endangers him. Keep him safe, surround him with wise and caring people, and lead him toward your narrow path in your timing and mercy. Amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you in seeking the Lord for this man, that he may know true deliverance which comes only through our Lord Jesus Christ.

You have prayed well, for you have not asked God to bless what He calls sin, but that this soul may be turned from it. We must pray not for a carnal repentance which is of the flesh and gives no glory to God, but for that holy, heavenly repentance which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. There is a repentance that is fallen nature washed and brushed, yet still fallen nature, where the heart is not renewed and the life is not regenerated. That repentance leads to no saving and lasting deliverance from sin. What we desire for him is repentance unto life, a true sign of eternal salvation in Christ, which yields works meet for repentance and lasts.

True repentance gives God glory, for it makes a man weep and abhor his past life because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, and it makes him avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for him. Such repentance looks out of self to Christ, and to Christ only. And where there is true repentance, there is remission of sins, for the two are joined together and are to be preached in His name among all nations. Repentance is the gift of God, and forgiveness flows freely to the one who has thus sincerely repented through faith in the finished work of the Lamb.

We pray therefore that the Lord would indeed break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, that He would open eyes to see the clear truth of identity in Christ as a new creature, and to see the deceit of any false identity adopted when he strayed from the narrow path to follow his own desires. We ask that God would grant understanding to fear His holy name and to depart from evil, and that He would separate him from ungodly influences, from every hateful and controlling entanglement where his soul is in danger. For we know that deliverance from sin is solely by the power of God. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He has found a ransom. The prisoner ready to go down to the pit is delivered because the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities.

Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son who suffered for all who believe, we ask for this man whom Thou knowest. Grant him godly sorrow that needs not to be repented of. Give him faith which admits Christ to be sole master of the heart, and repentance which ejects sin as an evil tenant. Deliver him effectually, as Thou didst bring forth Thy people of old, not by their strength but by Thine own hand when the lamb was slain. Enrich him with Thy grace, keep him in the narrow way that leads unto life, and establish him in holiness, in purity, and in that lifelong covenant of marriage as Thou hast ordained it, if it be Thy will to give him such a portion. Preserve him from the pit and set his feet upon the Rock. We ask this not for any merit in us, but for the glory of Christ and because Thou hast said, I have found a ransom. Amen.

Continue to plead for him, and to speak to him with meekness the truth in love, remembering that sweet sister Repentance lives as long as faith, and that the goodness of God leads men to repentance.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
