Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
ather, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in thanking our Father for the cross and for His holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe, and we praise His holy name with you. We agree together in the name of Jesus, believing that He hears us when we agree together, for Jesus said where two or three are gathered in His name He is there among us and if two of us agree on earth concerning anything that we will ask, it will be done for us by our Father who is in heaven Matthew 18:19-20.

We lift up this man who rented his flat to you before God. We thank God that He knows the plans He has for him, for He says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11, and For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts Isaiah 55:8-9. We pray that he will hear the voice of the Lord concerning His holy plan for his life and that the eyes of his heart will be opened to the truth of his identity in Christ.

Scripture tells us Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. We must lovingly speak the truth that the false identity he has adopted through sinful relationships and activities is not who God created him to be. Any sexual intimacy outside of marriage between a man and a woman is fornication and if involving one who is married it is adultery, and God calls us to flee it, for it says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. We rebuke that sin not to condemn him but because it separates him from God, defiles his body which is meant to be a temple of the Holy Spirit, and opens the door to control, blackmail and destruction. God ordained marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman and any courtship should be with the goal of godly marriage to a fellow believer, not sinful entanglements. We pray he will see clearly that the relationships where he is controlled and even in danger are hateful and sinful snares of the enemy, and that he will choose the narrow path, for Enter in by the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life. Few are those who find it Matthew 7:13-14.

We pray for his deliverance, for the righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles Psalm 34:17, and If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed John 8:36. We ask the Father to give him a new heart as He promised I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26, to break his stony heart, soften it for His glory and give him courage to follow Jesus. We pray he will be subject therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from him James 4:7, that he will confess and forsake his sin, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We ask the Lord to separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, for He says Come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing. I will receive you 2 Corinthians 6:17, and to set him apart for holiness.

We pray together that the Father will give him understanding to fear His holy name, for The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding Proverbs 9:10, that he will depart from evil and from the evil woman in his life who has led him into bondage, and that the Lord will protect his life where he is controlled and threatened, for Yahweh is our refuge and deliverer. We ask that he will recognize the depth of God's love which is greater than any counterfeit love offered by sin, and that he will walk in repentance and purity, seeking first the kingdom of God, whether that leads to a godly marriage that honors Christ or to a life of singleness devoted to the Lord, both of which are holy when lived in obedience.

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer through Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or have access to Your throne. We ask that You draw this man to Jesus, convict him, deliver him, heal him, guard his life from harm and blackmail, surround him with godly counsel, and lead him into the freedom and hope You have planned for him. We pray he will soon testify of Your rescuing power and walk in the light as a new creation. We continue to stand with the one who intercedes for him, asking for perseverance in prayer and faith to trust Your timing and Your greater thoughts. In the powerful and mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We are grateful you brought this man before the Lord with such compassion. It is clear you care about both his safety and his walk with God, and we join you in lifting him up.

It can be heavy to pray for someone who seems caught between what God intends for him and influences that keep pulling him away. What has helped many is remembering that a secure identity in Christ is not built on pleasing others or on past choices, but on who God says we are as His children. When that foundation grows stronger, the other voices and pressures lose some of their power, and a person can begin to hear God's direction more clearly and make wiser decisions. Only God can soften a heart and open eyes, and we can trust Him to work in His timing.

A steady way to continue is to keep your prayers simple and consistent for his protection, clarity, and courage to step away from harm, while keeping healthy boundaries in your landlord relationship. If he ever shows openness, you could gently point him toward a trusted pastor or mature believer in his area who can walk with him personally, rather than carrying this burden alone.

Father, we lift this man to You. You know his circumstances, his household, and the pressures he faces. Protect him, show him Your love in a way he can understand, and give him wisdom and courage to turn from what harms him and to follow Your narrow path. Give our friend peace as he continues to pray and entrusts this man to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in laying this man before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to show mercy according to His great compassion.

There is one great need for every soul that has wandered from the narrow path, and that is to look not to forms or feelings or resolutions, but to what Christ has done. We pray that the word may go forth over this man, Deliver him from going down to the Pit. For often sin outlaws a man in his own conscience and casts him into great depression of spirit, and only the sight of sin punished upon the great Substitute can put it away. We ask that God would teach him that Christ was made sin for us who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him, and that by a simple trusting in His one great sacrifice he may look and live and be brought into joyful liberty.

We pray also that the Lord who opens the ears of men and seals their instruction in the night season would withdraw this man from his purpose and hide pride from him. At first sin catches a soul as with the thinnest spider's cobweb that seems easily broken, but it soon engenders a second nature and holds fast with the power of darkness. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. We therefore ask the Lord to break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, to give courage to follow the narrow way and to grant that true repentance which hates sin as sin and turns from it with purpose of heart, not a transient sorrow that returns to the banquet with greater appetite.

We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, for He has not made provision to save us in our sins but to save us from our sins, and wherever He takes away the guilt He also kills the love of it. Marriage is His good ordinance, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy and the dwelling together that belongs to it is holy only within that covenant. Whatever is outside that path, whether it be an ungodly union or an evil influence that controls and blackmails and endangers life, we pray the Lord will expose and sever. We ask that He will separate this man from every ungodly influence, even those in his own household, and especially from the evil company that would hold him in bondage, that he may fear the holy name of the Lord and depart from evil.

May the Lord grant him to see his true identity not in the false name that sin gives, but in Christ alone, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Like a careful dispenser the Lord will deal with him in weight and measure, not in anger but from covenant love, scourging as a Father though He will not slay His children who trust Him. May he be kept from sin and from the sorrow that follows it, and may Christian association and the faithful preaching of Christ crucified be set before him, for the grandest attraction in or out of heaven is still the Saviour Himself.

We will continue to pray with you that this man may hear the voice of the Lord, that his eyes may be opened to the mischief of loving the world and the things thereof, and that being delivered from the fascinating power of darkness he may prove by experience the word, He has delivered us. May you be kept in patient intercession, committing him wholly to Him who is able to keep His servants from going aside into sin, trusting that what is impossible with man is possible with God. In the powerful name of Jesus we ask these things, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
