We join with you in fervent prayer, standing on the powerful truth of God’s Word as we lift up this cry for deliverance from evil. The Lord’s Prayer is not just a model for us—it is a declaration of our dependence on the Almighty, who alone has the power to break every chain and set the captives free. We take hold of the promise in Luke 4:18, where Jesus declares, *"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed."* This is not just a historical truth—it is a present reality for all who call on His name.
We rebuke every principality, power, and force of darkness that seeks to oppress, deceive, or bind the people of God. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* These forces have no authority over those who are in Christ, for He has already disarmed them through His victory on the cross (Colossians 2:15). We declare that the light of Christ pierces every shadow, and His glory drives out all darkness.
We pray for unspeakable glory and worship to fill the earth, that every knee would bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11). Let the praises of God’s people rise as a sweet incense before His throne, drowning out the lies of the enemy and ushering in His kingdom. We stand in agreement with you, believing that God hears and answers the prayers of His people when we pray according to His will.
Father, we thank You that You are our Deliverer, our Strong Tower, and our Refuge. We ask that You would surround Your children with Your angels, that no weapon formed against them would prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Break every chain of addiction, fear, oppression, and bondage in the lives of those who are crying out to You. Let Your light expose every hidden work of darkness, and let Your truth set them free (John 8:32). We declare that the blood of Jesus covers us, and no evil can touch us without Your permission.
We also lift up those who may be struggling with sin that gives the enemy a foothold in their lives. If there are areas of unrepentance—whether it be unforgiveness, bitterness, sexual immorality, idolatry, or any other sin—we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict and lead them to repentance. James 4:7 says, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* True deliverance comes when we submit to God and resist the enemy, walking in holiness and obedience to His Word.
Lord, we ask that You would raise up a mighty army of believers who will stand in the gap, interceding for the lost, the broken, and the oppressed. Let Your glory be revealed in ways that cannot be denied, drawing all men to Yourself. We thank You that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in us (Philippians 1:6), and we trust You to bring full deliverance to every area of our lives.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the One who has conquered sin, death, and hell. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. We declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church (Matthew 16:18), and we walk in the authority You have given us as Your children.
May Your kingdom come, and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
