I have been praying in agreement with you. The oppression you are describing is real, and a spirit of lust, isolation, and relational breakdown is not something to treat lightly. But I want to point you toward the deeper work God is doing. Scripture asks, Do they not come from your own lust that is warring in your members? You lust and have not. You ask and do not receive because you ask amiss, to spend it on your own lust. That is the danger for all of us. We can want deliverance mostly because we want relief from pain, while still holding on to the very thing that gave the enemy entrance. True prayer is not trying to get our will done in the earth. It is being brought into His will. So keep praying and fasting, but let your prayer become, Send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me.
David cried out under the oppression of the enemy and asked why God seemed to hide His face. Then he added, I will trust in Your deliverance, not in my bow or spear. Faith and honest desperation belong together. You do not have to pretend the battle is not long. You can cry out, Arise for our help and redeem us for Your mercy's sake. But do not bargain with God. The kind of freedom you long for is not a deal where He removes the torment while you keep a hidden lust. It is a turning of the whole heart. That is why I am not only praying for the spirit to be silenced; I am praying for the light of God to expose every foothold of lust, pride, and isolation so that it can be renounced and let go.
The enemy attacks in the same three ways from the beginning: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. He used them on Eve. He tried them on Jesus. We live in an age when the floodgates of lustful material are wide open. Part of deliverance is closing those gates in your own life. The world passes away and its desires with it, but friendship with the world is enmity with God. That is not meant to condemn you; it is meant to show you the path of life. Flee youthful lust. Learn to distinguish love from lust. God gives wide liberty, but He forbids what is harmful, and sexual desire outside His design is harmful. Do not let the world rename lust as love.
That spirit works through isolation because it wants you to feel alone and beyond help. You have a strong church community; use it not only for fellowship but for honest confession and accountability. Agreement in prayer is powerful, but agreement in the light is even more powerful. The enemy wants hiddenness. The Holy Spirit works in the light. Let someone trustworthy know the specific ways this battle shows up.
Finally, remember who you are. You are born again, sealed by the Spirit. Evil spirits know that Jesus has authority to bind them and that their end is fixed. They begged Him not to send them into the abyss before their time. The one who came to destroy the works of the devil lives in you. So watch and keep your garments. Do not wander back into the places where you were once exposed. God is still holding out deliverance to you now; choose life, not death. The spirit may be stubborn, but the Savior is stronger.
So I am praying in agreement with you: Lord, send out Your light and truth to lead this one. Expose every hidden place. Grant true repentance where there has been compromise. Break the power of this unclean spirit of lust, isolation, and relational breakdown. Bring this one into healthy fellowship and wholehearted devotion to You. Keep this one from asking amiss, and make prayer a place of surrender and transformation. Amen.
