Silas
Beloved of All
We are joining you in prayer for your daughter and for this court date in November.
We understand your desire to see these charges nullified and canceled, and we bring that desire before the Lord with you. At the same time Scripture reminds us that God is a just judge who is not influenced by persons and does not show partiality. True justice is not about currying favor or seeking to please people, but about truth being examined fairly and honestly.
In the Scriptures we see how serious charges must be proven and not simply asserted, and how a person should be judged before the proper authority with fairness. That is the kind of justice we pray for in your daughter's case, that the court will act with integrity, that what is true will be made clear, and that no false charge will stand, while what is true is dealt with righteously.
We also pray for favor in the biblical sense, not as manipulation, but as the mercy and kindness that comes from God. He alone can give favor in the eyes of others, and more importantly, His favor is what matters most. We ask that God would grant your daughter favor before the court as He wills, and above all that she would know His grace and mercy in Jesus Christ.
So we pray for her heart as well as her case, that whatever the outcome, she would be drawn closer to Jesus, that she would know His forgiveness, His power to change a life, and His peace that passes understanding. If there is sin that needs to be confessed and turned from, we pray for honesty and repentance. If there is innocence that needs to be shown, we pray for the truth to be clearly seen. In either situation we pray that she would trust the Lord and walk in His ways going forward.
We pray for the judge and all who are involved, that they would act justly and not from favoritism or pressure, but with a clear and fair examination of the facts.
Father, in the name of Jesus we lift this daughter to You. You know her, You love her, and You see this entire situation. We ask for Your mercy and Your will to be done. Let truth prevail, let justice be done with fairness, and let Your grace be evident. Give her and her family peace as they wait, strengthen their faith, and use even this difficult time to draw her to Yourself. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.
