Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (electric shocks) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, skin problems, medical treatments, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for a month, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in fervent prayer. Father God, You are the righteous Judge who sees all and knows the depths of every heart. We ask that You move mightily in this matter, stirring the conscience of this landlord by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Let conviction fall upon them like a heavy weight, leading them to repentance and a desire to make right what has been so grievously wrong.

Lord, we pray for full and just compensation for the suffering endured, electric shocks, skin problems, medical treatments, and the emotional distress caused by threats and inappropriate actions. You are a God of justice, and we ask that You bring about restitution according to Your perfect will. Proverbs 22:22-23 tells us, "Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them." We stand on this promise, trusting that You will act on behalf of the oppressed.

We also pray for healing, physical, emotional, and spiritual. May the scars left by this ordeal be mended by Your healing touch, and may the memory of Your faithfulness overshadow the pain. Isaiah 61:7 declares, "Instead of your shame you will have double; and instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them." We claim this truth over this situation, believing that You will restore what has been lost.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of hardness or indifference in the landlord’s heart. Soften them to the leading of Your Spirit, that they may do what is right in Your sight. If they remain unrepentant, we ask that You intervene in ways only You can, bringing about justice through divine means. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that vengeance belongs to You alone (Romans 12:19).

We encourage you to continue standing firm in faith, even when the wait feels long. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Keep seeking the Lord, and do not lose heart. If legal recourse is necessary, we pray for wisdom and favor in those proceedings as well.

Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who intercedes for us and through whom we have access to Your throne. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust that You will bring beauty from these ashes. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

It makes sense that your heart aches for even a word of remorse or a move toward making things right. That kind of prolonged disregard can feel like salt in a wound.

While we keep asking God to stir the landlord’s conscience, there are a couple of steady steps you can take that don’t depend on their response. If you haven’t already, start a simple record: a timeline of the shocks, the medical visits and skin treatments, receipts for alternative shower facilities, any written exchanges about the threats. This isn’t about obsession; it’s about protecting your own dignity and having clarity if you later choose to involve a Christian mediation service, a local tenants’ rights group, or legal counsel. Many communities have free or low-cost mediation that can help without the adversarial weight of court.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. Is there a trusted person in your church or a small group who could sit with you, help you sort through the paperwork, or simply pray with you in person? That kind of tangible presence can lighten the isolation. We’ve seen God work through honest mediation and through faithful friends who show up, even when the other party seems hard-hearted.

We pray with you now: Lord Jesus, you see this suffering, the physical pain, the illness, the fear of threats, and the heavy injustice. Bring healing to this dear person’s body and mind, and provide for every practical need. Awaken this landlord’s conscience by your Spirit, that they might do what is right and good. In the waiting, guard against bitterness and give wisdom for the next step, and surround them with people who will bear this burden alongside them. We ask for a resolution that brings peace and provision, in your name. Amen.

The cry for justice rings from your lips, and rightly so, for the Lord loves righteousness and hates iniquity. But have you considered that a month of waiting is but a moment? The wheels of divine providence move slowly, yet they grind exceedingly fine. Your landlord, unless the Spirit of God works upon him, will only be driven by terror to a repentance that is not unto life, a repentance that flees the penalty but not the sin. Pray rather that the Holy Ghost would give him a broken heart, that he might loathe his wickedness and turn to Christ, for there is no true amendment without a new birth.

But while you seek his conscience to be stirred, examine your own. Is your house set in order with the great Landlord? Have you any arrears of gratitude, any debt of love unpaid? Guard against the leaven of bitterness; it will shock your soul more than any earthly current. Leave vengeance to Him, He will repay. And if no shilling comes from the hand of man, yet your treasure is laid up where neither moth nor rust corrupts. You are a tenant of a hovel for a day, but an heir of the universe forever. The Lord Himself will be your compensation.

Give thanks to the Lord in this trial, for when we are in extremities and still bless His name, we put the devil to shame and show true wisdom. Do not let your soul be weighed down by the injustice you suffer; these things are but for a moment, while the torment of an unrepentant conscience endures forever. Your landlord’s heart may be hard now, but the judgment of God is not like the courts of men: no one escapes the Judge who sees all. If your own conscience is clear, then rejoice in that testimony, for it is a consolation greater than any earthly compensation. The silver and gold you seek are like toys that parents destroy when children neglect their lessons; so too, God sometimes permits our loss to teach us what is eternal. Commit your cause to Him who judges righteously, and let not this affliction become a dead work that defiles your conscience with bitterness. The Holy Spirit stirs hearts in His time; pray that yours remain steadfast, giving thanks in everything. In this way, even your suffering becomes a sweet-smelling sacrifice, and the healing of your body and your circumstances will come according to His perfect will.

It is deeply troubling when someone in a position of responsibility turns away from what is right and keeps silence in the face of another's suffering. The lack of communication and the absence of any willingness to make things right can feel like a weight that will not lift. Yet you have done well to bring this repeatedly before the Lord, who sees every hidden thing and knows the hearts of all.

The Scriptures speak often of a conscience that has become untethered from God. When a person pushes His truth aside in order to persist in harmful actions, they give evidence of what the Bible describes as a darkened understanding. They may think themselves wise, but without the fear of the Lord their inner compass grows calloused. This is why we must pray not merely for a check to be written, but for the Holy Spirit to stir that landlord's conscience awake. A true waking would produce more than regret over money; it would bring the kind of sorrow that leads to repentance and a change of conduct.

As you wait, remember that God's justice does not operate on our timetable. He sometimes allows a season of silence to draw out what is hidden, not because He lacks knowledge, but because He desires to lead people toward owning what they have done. The illness you have endured, the skin troubles, the expense and inconvenience, all of it is known to Him. He is not indifferent to your suffering. In the beginning, when sin first brought shame and brokenness into the world, God Himself provided a covering through sacrifice. That act pointed forward to the ultimate covering for sin and for every injustice: the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Him, we find not only forgiveness but also the assurance that every wrong will one day be set right.

For your part, guard your own heart against bitterness. It is possible to have a clear conscience before God even while others mistreat you, simply by entrusting the matter to His hands and continuing to act in love. As you seek fair compensation, do so without forfeiting your peace. Continue to ask in Jesus’ mighty name that the landlord would be confronted by the Holy Spirit, convicted of the threats and neglect, and moved to do good. Pray that he would not be like those who drown out God's voice in order to cling to their own way, but that he would turn and make amends.

May the Lord cover your needs in this waiting time, heal your body fully, and bring a resolution that bears witness to His faithfulness.
