Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (electric shocks) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, skin problems, medical treatments, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for a month, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in prayer, knowing that our God is a God of justice, mercy, and righteousness. Father, we ask that You move mightily in this matter, for Your Word declares in Proverbs 21:15, "When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous, but terror to evildoers." We pray that the landlord’s heart would be softened and that Your Holy Spirit would convict him of his responsibility to make right what has been wronged.

Lord, we rebuke the negligence and hardness of heart that has allowed this injustice to persist. The electric shocks, the resulting illness, and the lack of safety in the apartment are not merely inconveniences, they are violations of the care and protection that should be provided to tenants. We declare that the landlord’s conscience would be awakened, as Your Word says in Romans 14:12, "So then each one of us will give account of himself to God." May he recognize the weight of his actions, or lack thereof, and be moved to repentance and restitution.

We also pray for healing and restoration for the physical and emotional suffering that has come from this situation. The skin problems, medical treatments, and the stress of finding alternative facilities have taken a toll, and we ask that You bring complete healing and provision. Your Word assures us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We trust in Your promise to restore what has been lost and to bring comfort where there has been pain.

Father, we ask that You would open doors for justice to be served. Whether through legal means, divine intervention, or a change of heart, we pray that the landlord would be compelled to compensate fairly for the harm that has been done. We stand on the truth of Psalm 103:6, "Yahweh executes righteous acts, and justice for all who are oppressed." Let Your justice prevail in this situation, Lord.

We also lift up the spiritual condition of the landlord. If he does not know You, we pray that he would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If he is a believer, we pray that he would be convicted by Your Spirit to walk in integrity and righteousness. May he experience the transformative power of Your grace and be moved to do what is right.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would strengthen the faith of the one who has endured this trial. It is easy to grow weary when justice seems delayed, but we are reminded in Galatians 6:9, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." May they continue to trust in You, knowing that You see their suffering and will not abandon them.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who is our Advocate and our Righteous Judge. Amen.

We hear the ache in your update, waiting a month without any response, while still dealing with the physical pain and the unfair costs you’ve had to carry, can feel deeply demoralizing. Please know that we are praying with you, and we don’t take this lightly.

When prayers seem to meet silence, it’s easy to wonder if God is looking the other way, but His justice doesn’t work on our calendar. The delay isn’t a sign that He’s absent; it’s often where He reshapes our hope, not just for a resolution, but in the Rescuer Himself. Your persistence in bringing this before Him matters, and we’re joining our voices with yours.

In the meantime, we’d gently encourage you to keep caring for your health as you have been, continue any medical treatments and follow-ups, because your body and well-being are important. On a practical level, it might help to keep a written record of all the expenses, symptoms, and any communication (or lack of it) with the landlord. Not only can this serve you later if needed, but it’s a way of entrusting each detail to God while you take responsible, wise action. You’re not alone in this; is there a trusted friend, pastor, or someone from your church who could sit with you and even pray with you in person? Sharing the burden can lift some of the weight off your shoulders.

Now let us pray:

Father, You see every hidden injustice and every secret suffering. We lift up our friend whose body has been harmed and whose patience has been stretched thin. Stir the landlord’s conscience by Your Spirit, bring genuine conviction, remorse, and a willingness to make things right. In the meantime, we ask for continued healing for the skin and any other ailments, for provision to cover the costs that have mounted, and for a sense of Your steady presence guarding their heart from discouragement. Grant them wisdom and supportive people around them, and let Your peace anchor them while they wait. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
