Thank you for sharing this need and for praying so honestly. Waiting for approval and for a date to be set for these procedures can bring a lot of uneasiness, and it is good that you have brought it to the Father in the name of Jesus.
Scripture often puts two words together in a greeting, grace and peace, and always in that order. There is a reason for that. We cannot truly know the peace of God until we have first received the grace of God. Peace with God comes only through what Jesus has done, through His blood shed for us to make peace between us and God. When we have that peace with God, then we can begin to know the peace of God day by day, the quiet that guards our hearts even when circumstances are unsettled.
That peace is described as perfect peace for the one whose mind is stayed on the Lord, because that person trusts in Him. Jesus told His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The world offers peace when everything goes well, but His peace remains even in waiting and uncertainty. It is the peace that passes all human understanding, and it comes as we keep our thoughts turned toward Him, remembering His care and His promises, rather than letting our minds stay fixed on fear.
Waiting itself is part of how God works in us. We are called to wait upon Him and upon His timing, with confidence that He is at work even when we cannot see it. Patience in waiting is not passive. It is an active trust that establishes the heart, doing the work of faith and laboring in love while we look to Him. He has ordained peace for His people and He has wrought our works in us, and He wants you to live in that peace while you wait.
You asked for health and for good results, and it is right to ask. One of the early letters contains a loving wish that a friend would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospers. That is a beautiful prayer to pray for one another, though it is a wish and not a guarantee that every test will bring the answer we hope for. It does remind us of the connection God makes between the health of the soul and the rest of our lives. The greatest health is a soul that prospers in Christ, walking in truth and knowing His grace, and from that place we can bring every concern about the body to Him.
He is the Prince of Peace, and of His peace there is no end. He speaks peace to those who are near and to those who are far off, and He brings healing and forgiveness. He is the one who spoke to the wind and the waves, Peace, be still, and they obeyed, and who said to the woman who had been healed, Go in peace and be whole. He can speak that same calm to your heart now, and He can guide the hands of those who will care for you.
So we pray with you that the Lord will grant you His grace and His peace in this waiting time, that He will keep your mind stayed on Him and guard your heart from fear. We ask Him to open the way for the scheduling you need, to give wisdom to the doctors and staff, to watch over the colonoscopy and endoscopy, and to grant you health and good results according to His mercy. And above all we agree with your prayer, Thy will be done, trusting that His will is good and loving and that He will give you what you need to walk through whatever the results show.
