Church group

Dhitlor

Humble Servant of All
Please pray for me about this: at the end of last year, I signed my mother and I up for a church club that I already knew probably would not be a good fit for us (due to time and financial constraints) but I felt scared to say no for certain reasons. Making decisions this way, at least in my life, has never ended well and this is how it has gone with joining this club. Ever since we joined this club, it has caused nothing but trouble for us. There is someone in this club who, unfortunately, has been used multiple times by spiritual warfare that has been targeting me for most of my life (which influences certain people in my life/environment to do harmful things to me to try to push me toward deep unforgiveness and other things) to do harmful things to me. I believe they are easily used because they are on many medications for certain medical conditions (while there is nothing wrong with taking medicine for health problems - I even have to do so myself - one does have to be careful in this current society because sometimes doctors pressure us to be heavily medicated for nefarious reasons and being so heavily medicated can cause spiritual problems; also, I notice that most of the people who are heavily used by this warfare to target me have things in their lives, that they are not always aware of, that make them more easily influenced by demons). This person's behavior toward me is normal, and even nice, outside of being used by this warfare as it is with most people who are used by it. I recently posted in the church club group about hosting the next club meeting. This person did not respond to my message, while others did even though she was one of the people who was trying to encourage me to post (some events recently occurred, which began related to this group, which I think scared my church members into thinking my mom and I were upset and considering leaving the church {which was not totally untrue honestly} and some of them started to work very hard to ensure that my mom and I were not feeling negatively toward church and felt welcomed). I'm sure there could be any number of reasons why this person didn't respond but, unfortunately, I am now having to battle thoughts in my head that she didn't respond because she is under the influence of this warfare to behave negatively toward me (which I honestly can't push that aside as an option either). Please pray for me about all this. Please also pray about concerns I have about receiving my first paycheck for my job around the time that I'm supposed to receive it. Because it is my first paycheck, it will arrive differently than the others and I have no indication or ideas of when it should come. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the weight of the struggles you’re carrying—both in the spiritual battles you face and the practical anxieties about your new job and paycheck. First, let us lift this before the Lord together, for He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that you would find peace in His sovereignty, knowing that even when circumstances feel uncertain or oppressive, He is working all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister in Christ, asking that You would break every chain of spiritual warfare targeting her. We rebuke the enemy’s schemes in Jesus’ name, for You have given us authority over all the power of the evil one (Luke 10:19). We pray for protection over her mind and heart, that she would not be given to fear or unforgiveness, but that Your perfect love would cast out all anxiety (1 John 4:18). Lord, we ask that You would expose any deception or manipulation at work in this situation, whether through people or circumstances, and that You would give her discernment to walk in wisdom.

We also lift up the concerns about the church club. Father, we ask that You would grant her the courage to make decisions that honor You, even if it means stepping away from commitments that bring strife rather than peace. Help her to trust in Your guidance rather than the fear of man (Proverbs 29:25). If this club is not where You would have her, we pray for clarity and grace to move forward without guilt or hesitation. We also ask that You would soften the hearts of those involved, that any misunderstandings or offenses would be resolved in love and humility.

Regarding the paycheck, we pray for Your provision and timing. You are the God who supplies every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We ask that You would remove any anxiety about finances and replace it with trust in Your faithfulness. If there are delays or obstacles, we pray that You would make a way where there seems to be no way, and that she would see Your hand at work in this situation.

Now, let us address a few things with love and truth. First, we notice that while you mention spiritual warfare, there is no mention of the name of Jesus in your request. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Christ, for He is the only one who can break the power of the enemy and set you free. If you have already done so, we rejoice with you and encourage you to stand firm in His authority, resisting the devil so that he will flee from you (James 4:7).

We also want to gently address the concern about medications. While we affirm that God can use medicine to bring healing, we must be cautious about attributing spiritual oppression solely to medical conditions. The enemy seeks to deceive, but our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). We encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in all things, including medical decisions, and to test every spirit to see whether it is from God (1 John 4:1). If you feel led, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel from trusted believers who can help you navigate these concerns with biblical discernment.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to guard your heart against bitterness or resentment toward those who may be used by the enemy. It is not the person themselves, but the spiritual forces at work, that seek to harm you. We pray that you would extend grace, even as Christ has extended grace to you, and that you would pray for those who may be unwittingly caught in the enemy’s schemes (Matthew 5:44). Forgiveness is not excusing their actions, but releasing them to God’s justice and trusting Him to deal with them in His way and time.

Father, we ask that You would fill our sister with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and help her to walk in the victory that is already hers through Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that she will see Your goodness in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13). Give her wisdom in every decision, and let her rest in the knowledge that You are her provider, her protector, and her peace. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting up your concerns to the Lord. We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you with these words:

"God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)

First, let's trust in God's sovereignty over your new job and paycheck. He knows your needs, and He will provide in His perfect timing. Let's ask Him to reveal any anxieties you may have about finances and replace them with faith in His faithfulness.

Now, about the church club situation, we believe God wants you to make decisions that honor Him, even if it means stepping away from commitments that cause strife. Let's pray for courage to do what's right, and for clarity in knowing His will. We also ask for grace to move forward without guilt or hesitation, and for softened hearts among those involved, so any misunderstandings can be resolved in love and humility.

Lastly, we want to remind you of God's unfailing love for you. He is with you in every situation, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Let's trust in His love and His plan for your life.

Let's continue to pray for you, ###, and we encourage you to keep seeking the Lord's face in this situation. He is faithful, and He will guide you through.
