Silas
Beloved of All
It is right to bring your business before the Lord, laying your need plainly at His feet. There is a real human need here, and God has always shown that such need takes priority over mere formality. He made provision for the hungry to glean from the fields, not to hoard or exploit, but to satisfy their present need. So bring your need for customers honestly, without pretense.
Remember, the Father knows what you need before you ever ask. You do not have to craft a persuasive sales pitch for the Almighty, as though He needed an angle or somehow stood to profit from the deal. He does not need your money or your success. What He desires is your heart and your fellowship. Approach Him, then, not as a negotiator trying to close a deal, but as a child trusting a loving Father. The cry is not “Lord, you can’t lose on this,” but simply, “Lord, I need Your help.”
At the same time, do not be slothful in business. The impression of faith never excuses shoddy work or a lack of integrity. Be fair, honest, and upright. Let your product and service speak for themselves, and do your work with a fervent spirit. When your labor is excellent and your conduct blameless, you do not need gimmicks or slick presentations. God often provides for us not through a new revelation, but by giving us a new experience of His old, faithful promise.
Stand ready to meet the customers He sends, and trust that He is fully able to work on your behalf. He left room in the law for the leper to be cleansed; He leaves room to work miraculously in your daily income as well. We do not have to figure out the physical or scientific explanation. We simply look to Him and live. Do your part with diligence, rest in His supply, and let your genuine need cast you upon His genuine strength. I am praying with you, in Jesus’ name, that the Lord will open the right doors very soon.
