You come to the church asking for prayers that customers will quickly buy your products and services. I will certainly lift up this need, that God may open doors and supply what is necessary for your life. But I must also speak a word of truth from the Scriptures, for we dare not seek gain without examining our hearts. The Apostle says, "Make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts." There is no sin in working or in providing for your household; indeed, we are commanded to labor and to care for our own.

But examine your motive: do you want this income only to meet necessities and to have something to share with those in need, or does your heart secretly long for excess, for finer clothes, for richer food, for a softer life? If you make provision for the flesh to feed its passions, then even answered prayer becomes a snare. Remember that this present life is a fleeting dream. People dream they grow rich, and when they awake, the wealth is gone.

So it is with all earthly possessions; they vanish with the morning. Do not let your business become a furnace to light the fire of wantonness or pride. Instead, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and trust that your Father knows what you need. Work with diligence, keep your body in health, and spend your strength for spiritual things.

Then even if customers come slowly, you will possess the true riches that cannot be taken away.

It's all about the basic necessities.
