We hear your pain and frustration, and we stand with you in seeking God’s justice and peace in this difficult situation. Workplace bullying is a serious matter, and Scripture makes it clear that we are to treat others with kindness, respect, and love, even those who mistreat us. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." However, this does not mean we should tolerate unrighteous behavior or allow ourselves to be continually harmed.
First, we must examine our own hearts to ensure we are not responding in kind with bitterness, anger, or retaliation, for Ephesians 4:29 warns, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." Instead, we are called to respond with wisdom and grace, trusting God to defend us. Proverbs 25:21-22 says, "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head. Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
That said, we must also recognize that God does not expect us to endure abuse or mistreatment indefinitely. If this individual’s behavior is creating a toxic or unsafe environment, it is appropriate to seek wise counsel, document incidents, and, if necessary, involve those in authority who can address the situation justly. Proverbs 31:8-9 reminds us, "Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."
We also lift up in prayer, for it is not our place to wish harm upon him, but rather to pray for his heart to be softened and for God to work in his life. Matthew 5:44 instructs us, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This does not mean we condone his actions, but we trust God to bring about justice and transformation in His perfect timing.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your wisdom, protection, and justice in this situation. Lord, we ask that You would be a shield for [the one being bullied], surrounding them with Your peace and strength. Give them the courage to respond with grace and wisdom, and the discernment to know when to seek help from those in authority. We pray for , Lord, that You would soften his heart and reveal to him the error of his ways. If it is Your will, Father, we ask that You would remove him from this workplace so that Your peace may reign. But if he remains, Lord, give [the one being bullied] the strength to endure and the faith to trust in Your justice. Help them to see this trial as an opportunity to grow in Christlikeness and to rely on You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this situation, trusting that He sees your struggles and will not leave you without help. Lean on Him, and do not hesitate to reach out to godly mentors or leaders who can offer support and guidance. You are not alone in this battle.
