Faithful Servant
My brother is in need of help in many areas of his life. He has been on drugs for forty years and he had a stroke three years ago. He is functioning but too weak to work. He has applied for social security disability but they don't want to give it to him although he is entitled and desperate for income. Three years ago he found his son after he hung himself. Our mother died shortly after that and our father just passed as well. Our family is going through great trials. I am barely hanging on myself. I am paying his utility bills and he's living in our deceased father's house. I am buying the house and I want to move into the house but I cannot with him living there. Please pray that the state will approve his social security. Also, he knows that Jesus is the Son of God that died for our sins and he is a believer. I don't know what it's going to take for him to turn his life over to Jesus. Please pray for him. I know that Prayerrequest blots out names and other information. This request is for a family member. Thank you for praying.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother and your entire family in this time of profound trial. The weight of forty years of bondage to drugs, the devastation of losing a nephew to suicide, the passing of both parents, and the physical and financial struggles your brother faces are burdens no family should have to bear alone. Yet we know that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We stand in the gap for your brother, declaring that the chains of addiction and despair *will* be broken in Jesus’ name.

First, we pray for the approval of his Social Security Disability claim. Lord, You see the years of struggle, the stroke that has left him weakened, and the desperate need for provision. We ask that You move upon the hearts of those reviewing his case, granting them wisdom and compassion to recognize his rightful claim. "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires" (Proverbs 21:1). May the doors that have been closed be flung open, and may the resources he needs flow to him swiftly and without further delay.

But provision is not merely financial—it is spiritual. Your brother knows Jesus as the Son of God, yet the grip of addiction and grief has kept him from fully surrendering. We rebuke the spirit of addiction that has held him captive for decades. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and we declare that freedom *is* his inheritance. We pray for a divine encounter, a moment of clarity where the scales fall from his eyes and he sees the life of abundance Christ offers (John 10:10). Father, break the cycle of bondage. Let him taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8), and that in You, there is hope even after forty years of wandering.

We also lift up the pain of losing your nephew. The trauma of finding him, the guilt that may linger, and the grief that feels unbearable—these are wounds only You can heal. We ask for Your comfort to surround your brother and your family like a shield. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matthew 5:4). May the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, minister to each of you in ways only He can.

For you, dear one, we pray strength. You are carrying so much—financial burdens, emotional weight, the responsibility of a family in crisis. But remember, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are not meant to carry this alone. We encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or a Christian support group, to help shoulder this load. And know that as you pour out for others, God will pour back into you (Luke 6:38).

Now, we must address the matter of the house with love and truth. It is understandable that you wish to move into the home you are purchasing, but we urge you to consider what is just and merciful for your brother. If he has nowhere else to go, forcing him out could add to his despair. Proverbs 3:27 says, "Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it." Could there be a temporary solution—a way to honor your needs while also showing compassion? Perhaps a timeline for transition, or assistance in finding him alternative housing? We pray for wisdom for you in this, that you would act in a way that reflects Christ’s love and justice.

Finally, we must emphasize the power of the name of Jesus. Your brother’s salvation is secure, but his *surrender* is the key to transformation. We pray that he would not just *know* about Jesus, but that he would *know* Him intimately—that he would fall on his knees and cry out, "Lord, save me!" (Matthew 14:30). Only then will the chains truly break. And for you, we pray that as you intercede for him, you would also experience the fullness of Christ’s peace and provision in your own life.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with boldness, knowing that You hear the cries of Your children. For this brother, we ask for deliverance from addiction, healing from grief, and provision in every area of lack. For this family, we ask for unity, strength, and the peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, let Your will be done in each of their lives, and let Your name be glorified in every outcome. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name that saves, heals, and sets free. Amen.

We're standing with you, dear friend, as you carry this heavy burden for your brother and your family. We've been praying for you all, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this. We're here to lift you up and intercede on your behalf.

First, we're asking our Heavenly Father to move on the hearts of those reviewing your brother's Social Security Disability claim. Lord, we ask that you soften their hearts and grant them wisdom and compassion to recognize his rightful claim. We declare that the doors that have been closed will be flung open, and the resources he needs will flow to him swiftly and without further delay. We trust that You, Lord, will provide for him according to his needs.

We're also praying for a divine encounter for your brother. Lord, we ask that you break the chains of addiction that have held him captive for so long. We declare that freedom is his inheritance, and we pray for a moment of clarity where he can see the life of abundance that Christ offers. We ask that he would taste and see that You are good, and that in You, there is hope even after forty years of wandering.

Now, about the house, we urge you to consider what is just and merciful for your brother. We pray for wisdom for you, that you would act in a way that reflects Christ's love and justice. Perhaps there's a temporary solution, a way to honor your needs while also showing compassion.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are deeply moved by the weight of the trials your family is carrying, and we want you to know that we have lifted each of these burdens before the Lord with heavy hearts. We have prayed fervently for your brother—for his physical strength, for the healing of his body after the stroke, and for the chains of addiction to be broken in Jesus’ mighty name. We have asked God to intervene in the process of his social security disability claim, that justice and mercy would prevail and that he would receive the provision he so desperately needs.

We have also stood in the gap for his heart—for the deep wounds left by unimaginable loss, for the grief that lingers after losing his son, your mother, and now your father. Lord, we ask that You draw near to him in his pain, that he would feel Your presence like never before, and that the Holy Spirit would stir within him a hunger for true transformation. May he surrender every part of his life to You, finding hope, purpose, and new life in Christ.

For you, dear one, we have prayed as well—that God would sustain you, strengthen your hands as you carry so much, and provide wisdom for the decisions ahead. We asked the Lord to make a way for you regarding the house, that His will would be done and that He would open doors no man can shut. We’ve prayed for peace to guard your heart, for provision to meet every need, and for the comfort that only comes from the Father’s embrace.

If any of these prayers have been answered—if there has been even a small breakthrough or a glimmer of hope—we would be so encouraged to hear about it. Your praise reports strengthen our faith and remind us all of God’s faithfulness. If, however, the burdens still feel as heavy as they did when you first posted, please share this request again. We are committed to standing with you, lifting your family before the throne of grace until we see God’s hand move in power.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, guide you with His wisdom, and fill you with His peace as you continue to seek Him. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
