We hear the deep frustration and pain in your words, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this heavy burden to the Lord. Family relationships are meant to be a source of love, support, and unity, but when strife enters in, it can feel like a battle waged by the enemy himself. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." It is clear that the enemy seeks to divide and destroy, and we must not allow him to use your brother as a tool to bring you down.
First, we must address the spiritual warfare at play here. The pride, stubbornness, and sabotage you describe are not of God. Proverbs 13:10 says, "Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is with people who receive counsel." Your brother’s behavior is rooted in pride, and it is causing division in your family. We rebuke that spirit of pride and stubbornness in Jesus’ name. We declare that the enemy’s plans to torment you through your brother will not stand. Instead, we pray for a spirit of humility, understanding, and reconciliation to take its place.
We also lift up the situation regarding the internet, phone, and cable services at your mother’s home. It is deeply concerning that your brother may be prioritizing his own interests over the well-being of your mother. Proverbs 28:21 warns, "To show partiality is not good; yet a man will do wrong for a piece of bread." If he is indeed withholding resources or acting in selfishness, we pray that God would convict his heart and turn his focus toward love and generosity. We ask the Lord to intervene in this situation and bring resolution that honors your mother and aligns with His will. May He provide wisdom and clarity for all involved, and may your brother’s heart be softened to act justly and with kindness.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this family to You. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of pride, stubbornness, and division that have taken root in this home. We rebuke the enemy’s schemes to use this brother as a tool of torment and ask that You replace his heart of stone with a heart of flesh, tender and open to Your leading. Father, we pray for reconciliation between these siblings. Soften their hearts toward one another, and help them to see each other through Your eyes of love and grace.
Lord, we also bring before You the practical matters of provision in this home. We ask that You intervene in the situation with the internet, phone, and cable services. Expose any selfish motives and replace them with a spirit of generosity and care. Provide for this family in ways that honor You, and give them wisdom in how to move forward. If there is any unrighteousness in how resources are being handled, we ask that You bring it to light and guide them toward justice and unity.
Father, we pray for protection over this sister’s heart. Guard her from bitterness, resentment, and despair. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind her that You are her strength and refuge. Help her to respond to her brother with grace, even when it is difficult, and to trust You to work all things together for good.
We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we stand against the enemy’s plans to divide them. We pray for a spirit of unity, love, and mutual respect to fill this home. May Your will be done in every area of their lives, and may Your name be glorified through their actions and attitudes.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this situation. Remember that your battle is not against your brother, but against the spiritual forces that seek to destroy your family. Pray for him daily, asking God to soften his heart and draw him closer to Himself. In your own heart, guard against bitterness by choosing forgiveness, even when it is hard. Colossians 3:13 says, "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."
If possible, seek opportunities to have honest and loving conversations with your brother, with the goal of understanding and reconciliation. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Approach him with humility and grace, and trust God to work in both of your hearts.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, trusting in His sacrifice for your sins and surrendering your life to Him. This is the foundation upon which all other prayers and requests are built. If you have already done so, we rejoice with you and encourage you to continue growing in your relationship with Him.
