Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my big brother he needs a healing immediately for he is an alcoholic and he's in a state of a coma in the hospital and they think that he's paralyzed from a stroke but I asked that God lets you live until he's baptized in Jesus name and and with a full confirmation of his salvation in Jesus name amen amen amen please pray

We lift your brother before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, trusting in the Lord’s mercy and power to heal. The situation you describe is deeply concerning, and we join you in crying out to God for his complete restoration, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Your plea for his salvation is the most urgent need of all, for what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and yet lose his soul? (Mark 8:36). We pray that even in this coma, the Holy Spirit would move upon his heart, drawing him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5). We ask for a supernatural touch upon this beloved brother, that You would break the chains of alcoholism that have bound him, for it is written that whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36). Lord, we rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name, and we command every affliction, whether stroke, paralysis, or any other sickness, to flee from him. We declare that by Your stripes, he is healed (1 Peter 2:24), and we stand on Your promise that You will restore health to him and heal him of his wounds (Jeremiah 30:17).

We also lift up the medical team caring for him, asking for Your wisdom and guidance to be upon them. Give them discernment to treat him effectively, and let Your healing power flow through their hands. But above all, Lord, we pray for his salvation. If he has not yet confessed Jesus as Lord, we ask that You would open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that he would repent of his sins and turn to You with all his heart. Let this trial be the moment of his spiritual awakening, for You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that he would be baptized not just in water, but in the Holy Spirit, sealed for the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30).

We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that may be trying to take hold of this family. Instead, we declare that hope in Christ does not put us to shame (Romans 5:5), and we trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Even if the doctors have given a grim prognosis, we know that with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). We ask for a miracle, Lord, not just for his body, but for his soul.

Father, we also pray for this sister who has cried out on his behalf. Strengthen her faith, comfort her heart, and remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Let her see Your hand at work in this situation, and give her peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help her to trust in You even when the outcome is uncertain, for You are faithful to Your promises.

We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

We're sitting with you in this heavy, holy wait. The ache for your brother's body and soul is so clear, and we don't take that lightly. What strikes us most is the heart of your prayer, not just that he'd recover physically, but that he would know Jesus, be baptized, and have the full peace of confirmed salvation. That's a deep love, and we believe God honors it.

While the medical picture is uncertain, one concrete thing you can do, even now, is speak words of life and faith over him. Hearing is often the last sense to go. Lean close and tell him, plainly and gently, about Jesus' love for him. Pray aloud the simple gospel beside his bed. Ask the Holy Spirit to meet him in that coma, in ways no monitor can measure. You're not just waiting; you're waging a quiet campaign of grace in that room.

The burden of loving someone through alcoholism carries so many layers, fear, exhaustion, and sometimes guilt. We want to remind you that your brother's story isn't finished, and his eternal soul is precious. Nothing about this moment surprises God. Trust the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to go after the one.

Let us ask the Father together:

Father, we lift up this beloved brother to You, body, mind, and spirit. In the mystery of this coma, draw near to him. Grant him days of life and moments of clear-mindedness where he can turn to Jesus in faith, be baptized, and know beyond doubt that he belongs to You. Guide the hands of his doctors, steady the hearts of his family, and let peace guard this sibling's heart. We ask for mercy and for a testimony of salvation yet to be told. In Jesus' name, amen.

The cry of your heart rises up before the throne of grace. You plead not merely for the stirring of a finger or the opening of an eye, but for the eternal soul of your brother. This is a prayer born of the Spirit, who alone teaches us to value salvation above the very breath of life. You have laid hold of the truth that the healing leaves of the tree of life are for the nations; yes, and for your brother in that hospital bed, for the very leaves of Christ, the least things about Him, are full of healing virtue, able to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

Yet see what a simple, divine salvation is set before us. It is not a work to be performed, but a Person to be trusted. The Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.” Faith is believing on a Person. Not on a church, not on a feeling, not on a reformation, but on Him. Depend upon Him without fear as to your present and eternal salvation. This is the faith which saves the soul. If the Lord grants a moment of consciousness, a lucid interval through that coma’s dark veil, the eye of the soul can look. And how instantaneous is a look. “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.” It takes no time, no strength. That one glance of faith from the depths of his being is sufficient for eternal rescue.

You cry for his baptism and a full confirmation. This holy desire does honor to the ordinance of our Lord. We read of the jailer who was baptized the same hour of the night, straightway, for he was in downright earnest and would wear Christ’s regimentals without delay. Yet we must always distinguish the sign from the thing signified. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a baptism one man cannot administer to another. The outward ordinance, the baptism of a believer, is a confession, an oath of allegiance. But the saving work is the inward look to Christ, the soul trusting Him. God works salvation, from first to last. It was His in the planning, His in the giving, and it is His salvation, not our own in that sense. “I will rejoice in thy salvation.” And this salvation is irreversible, for “His honor is engaged to save the meanest of his sheep.”

Therefore, wrestle on in prayer. Let your faith take hold of the promise that the leaves of this tree are for healing. Plead the precious blood. Ask that his spirit be emancipated from the chains of his former bondage, for when salvation comes it delivers a man from the power of sin. May you see in his deliverance the fruit of a Divine salvation, and the Lord grant that we may meet him and all your house in glory above.
