Break up with a ###

Beloved of All
Please pray for me and the places I have been searched and tested and trialed from the man I was seeing while he was working on projects for his workplace, there are places I have found myself that I do not understand and feel trapped. Please help me to ask God to be removed from these places. I feel like I was treated like a Dog that has fleas

We hear your pain and confusion, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your heart to the Father who sees, knows, and cares deeply for you. The way you’ve been treated is not reflective of the love and respect that God intends for His children. You are not a dog with fleas, you are a beloved daughter of the Most High, created in His image and worthy of dignity, honor, and true love. The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 2:9, "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." You are not defined by how this man treated you, but by how God sees you.

The places where you feel trapped, whether emotionally, spiritually, or even physically, are not beyond God’s reach. Psalm 34:18-19 assures us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We join with you in asking the Lord to break every chain, to remove you from these places of confusion and hurt, and to lead you into the freedom that only He can provide. The enemy may have intended this season for harm, but God can turn it around for your good and His glory (Genesis 50:20).

We must also address the nature of the relationship you were in. If this man was not your husband, then the emotional and physical intimacy you shared outside of marriage was not aligned with God’s design. The Bible is clear in Hebrews 13:4, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." If there was sexual sin involved, we encourage you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness. His grace is sufficient, and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Repentance is not about shame, it’s about turning away from what displeases God and running back into His arms, where you are fully known and fully loved.

We also want to gently remind you that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we invite you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift, and it is the foundation for true freedom, healing, and restoration.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister who is hurting and confused. Lord, You see the places where she feels trapped, the pain she has endured, and the ways she has been mistreated. We ask You to break every chain, to remove her from every place of bondage, and to lead her into the freedom that only You can provide. Father, we repent on her behalf for any sin that was involved in this relationship, and we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Wash her with the blood of Jesus and make her new.

Lord, we declare that she is not defined by this man’s treatment of her. She is Your daughter, chosen, holy, and dearly loved. Heal her heart, restore her soul, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Surround her with godly community, believers who will speak life into her, encourage her, and remind her of Your truth. Give her wisdom and discernment as she moves forward, and help her to seek relationships that honor You.

Father, if she has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus, we pray that she would do so today. Draw her close to You, reveal Your love to her, and let her experience the fullness of life that comes only through Christ. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

In this season, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word. Meditate on Scriptures that remind you of your identity in Christ, such as Ephesians 2:10, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them." You are not a mistake, you are a masterpiece, and God has a purpose for your life.

We also encourage you to seek out a local church or a community of believers who can walk alongside you. Healing is not meant to be done in isolation. Proverbs 13:20 says, "Walk with wise men and you will become wise, but the companion of fools suffers harm." Surround yourself with people who will point you to Jesus and help you grow in your faith.

Lastly, we want to rebuke the lies of the enemy that may be whispering to you right now. The devil wants you to believe that you are unworthy, that you are trapped, or that you will never experience true love. But God’s Word says otherwise. Jeremiah 29:11 declares, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Do not listen to the lies. Stand on the truth of God’s Word, and let it renew your mind.

You are not alone. We are standing with you in prayer, and we believe that God is at work in your life, even now. Trust Him with your heart, and watch how He will restore what has been broken.

We understand that feeling of being left disoriented, those "places" inside yourself you can't quite name but that feel dark and confining. When someone treats you as less than human, it leaves a mark that goes deeper than ordinary heartbreak. The image of being treated "like a dog with fleas" says it plainly: you felt used, examined, and ultimately discarded as a nuisance rather than honored as a person.

Sometimes the first step back toward light is simply naming what happened, out loud, with someone who will listen without trying to fix it. Whether that's a trusted friend, a pastor, or a small group at church, letting someone else bear witness to the confusion and hurt can begin loosening that trapped feeling. You don't need to have it all sorted out or understand every "place" you've found yourself in, God isn't waiting for you to present a tidy explanation. He meets you in the middle of the mess.

You might find it grounding, in the coming days, to pray specifically through whatever spaces still feel contaminated by this relationship, your apartment, your car, your workplace. Walk through them and simply ask the Lord to reclaim what is already His. Not because the rooms themselves hold anything, but because your heart needs to rehearse that they are safe and that Christ's presence goes with you there.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this one who feels trapped in places she doesn't understand, places she entered through a man who treated her carelessly. You see every corner of her heart and every memory that still haunts her. We ask You to untangle what she cannot untangle, to bring Your light where shadows linger, and to restore her sense of dignity and safety. She belongs to You. Let her feel that reality settle deep into her bones tonight. Amen.

You have been in Egypt, in the iron furnace of a cruel bondage, where your spirit has been treated as though it were a worthless thing. But the Lord has heard your cry, and the arrow of His deliverance shall yet be shot for your release. Even now, though you feel trapped in places you cannot understand, remember that the Red Sea parted when Israel seemed most hemmed in. The places that have been searched and tested shall not hold you, for He who brought His people forth with silver and gold will not leave you as prey. The man’s treatment of you, as if you were a dog with fleas, is but the whip of the taskmaster; yet your Deliverer has come down to smite that cruel Egypt. Trust not in your own strength to break these chains, for none know freedom from sin and sorrow but those who trust the atoning blood. Christ has borne the penalty, and by His stripes you are healed from all this shame. He feels your desolation, and He will bring you out into a large place.

You have crossed the brook Jabbok in fear, dreading the face of an Esau, but the Lord can turn even the heart of an adversary into a kiss. You need not fear the remembrance of this trial, for the Lord has chastened you sorely, yes, but He has not given you over unto death. The feeling of being trapped shall give way to the song of deliverance, and you shall yet say, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Let this be your cry: “O God, by the ransom You have found, deliver me from the pit!” And because He has said, “I have found a ransom,” you may be certain that your feet shall be drawn from the miry clay. Go now, for the bell of mercy has struck the hour of your deliverance. You have done nothing to earn it, and that is your hope, for it is of Free Grace alone. Soon you shall walk in the liberty wherewith Christ makes His people free, and the shame of Egypt shall be rolled away. Let this word be to you as the arrow shot through the window: the Lord will save. Peace be with you, and with all who are heavy-laden. Amen.

Wow, I cannot even begin thinking about how you have seen from the beginning that atoned for Gods people the truth.
I will just be still and let God fight for me

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You feel trapped, as though you were a dog covered in fleas, cast aside and despised. This pain you suffer is not merely from a man’s callous heart; it is a mirror of a deeper bondage. For what communion has a child of God with one who treats her as refuse? The places of testing and searching you describe are the dark corners where sin has entangled your feet. Christ did not shed His blood for you to remain in such chains. He came to preach deliverance to captives, to set at liberty those who are oppressed. Therefore, do not seek only to be removed from an external situation, but resolve with holy violence to cut off the sin itself.

Stand fast in the freedom with which Christ has made you free. Do not return to the yoke of bondage, thinking you can find love where there is only contempt. The man who treated you so has shown that he knows nothing of the self-giving love of Jesus. Come out from among such ungodly entanglements, and be separate. Touch no unclean thing, and the Lord will receive you. Let the testimony of your conscience be your glorying, not the fleeting approval of one who demeans you. The Son abides forever as Master of the house; in Him alone is true freedom and lasting honor.

Therefore, break off this sinful tie without delay. Let your soul cry out for mercy, and God, who is rich in mercy, will restore your dignity and make you a pure temple for His Spirit. Do not be ashamed, for the God who delivered Daniel from the lions’ den will deliver you from every snare. Be not high-minded, but humble yourself, and He will lift you up.

Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like you to stand with me in faith and prayer over agreements over life. I pray that you break them in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Make them into small, unnoticeable fragments and pieces to be disregarded. Thank you.
